WHAT'S THE BEST DOG SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER/COLOGNE/POWDER?

Hi sisses, I didn't see thread for this (or at least I didn't noticed one).

Can you recommend some good brands? I understand na hiyangan din minsan. Our 2month old shih tzu Bambam smells a bit off. We were told by the breeder na Cream Silk conditioner lang daw ok na, unfortunately kakaligo lang nya a few hours after lang he smells funky na and as much as we love him & spoil him to death the smell really does become bothersome. Teehee...TIA!

i use perfect coat shampoo with conditioner. super soft sa hair ng shih tzu ko, mejo expensive nga lang pero ok [textspeak!]. mabango pa

I only use Dr.Kauffmann's Sulfur Soap for my chichuahua Coco eversince.Tried and tested and recommended by the his vet and his former vets. It's uber cheap yet very effective.

ok din sa male shih tzu ko yung dr. kauffman's sulfur soap. sya lang kasi yung matapang ang amoy ng katawan, parang musky siguro kasi lalaki sya?
gamit ko ngayon is Human Heart Nature kids shampoo banana scent, actually binili ko yun para sa akin pero itinry ko sa kanila kasi 100% harmful chemical free daw.
maganda din yung shampoo ng dog ni bf, destress shampoo ata ang name nung shampoo. mabango sya at hindi daw masyado kinakati dog nya sa shampoo na yun.
mabango din crazy dog kaso ang mahal naman.

Nope sis hindi naman sya nakakadry and ang maganda dun is hindi sya nangangamoy unlike dog shampoos na maamoy na agad si doggy.

UPDATE on Bambam, he smells loads better but he has a bad habbit of stepping on his weewee so he smells bad ulit, napipilitan akong hugasan ang paws nya everyday.

Vellus smells really good! It's expensive pero there really is a difference, ang bango and naging fluffier yung coat ng pom ko

never use shampoo/conditioner formulated for humans para sa doggies, why? here are the reasons :

1. obviously, hindi sila formulated to nourish the fur of our babies, chances are, these human shampoos can be the culprit pa of why your baby's fur is shedding. please remember na whatever's safe for humans doesnt mean its safe for our furry friends as well.

2. the scent of human shampoo can only mask the odor of our beloved pets for a few hours, most likely, they would smell funky na after a day or so (Note : do not bathe your dogs everyday, once every 2 days is ideal)
 
there are shampoos available na formulated for dogs, hence, yun ang dapat gamitin for them, Bearing Shampoo in Powder Scent happens to be our favorite, mild kasi ang scent but keeps the dogs fresh-smelling, we also apply Bearing Dry Shampoo works well too, medyo natatapangan lang ako sa scent.

for their cologne i use Crazy Dog's Baby Dog Scent Grooming Spray, dual purpose kasi, it detangles na cologne pa, and the scent isnt overpowering.

Perla!! Promise! Sa dog ko yun talaga isang linggo hindi smelly! Kaso tzu yung dog mo, baka makadry. nababasa ko sa iba yung woof? Not so sure... Will try to look for other reviews. And try mo din mag switch ng food. Minsan kasi sa kinakain kaya nagiging smelly.

question lang mga sis, pwede na kaya sa corgi puppy yung dr kaufmann or perla? di naman super hairy pero baka mag dry kasi un skin eh

if you keep your dog indoors naman, no need to use a really strong soap like dr kaufmann, minsan nakakadry din ng skin nila which can also cause them to itch and to shed more hair, use a mild doggie shampoo, bearing does a great job in eliminating doggie odors, madami pang scents na available. pag binabanlawan din yung dogs, it helps to put half cup of baking soda with the rinsing water, this helps sa pag prolong na amoy fresh ang doggie, i bathe my dog every 2 days, he stays in my room pero never siya nag-amoy aso, even people who doesnt know i have a dog staying in my room di nahahalata kasi no foul smell talaga.

actually, there are some vitamins that you can give to your dog.  That was also my problem with Marley, my shitzu baby.  Her "bagong ligo" smell nawawala after hours lang pagkaligo.  Now I am giving her Brewer's Yeast, bought from My Sassy Puppy.  Now, odor-free na siya, ganda pa ng coat and skin.

I use royal pet shampoo the same effect ng all systems shampoo and much cheaper. I buy it from cartimar.
