^wala naba sis nung sa outback sa groupon & cobone? si hubby nga din sana daw dinamihan na ang binili niya, for my birthday (july), sa birthday niya (october). infairness, masarap naman pala food dun. malambot and juicy ang steaks.
yung sa car detailing naman, oo mahal nga daw yung ganun dito. kaya grab niya agad yung deal nung nakita niya. hehe.

pinadalan kasi ako ng husband visa ng asawa ko from abu dhabi, baka meron may alam kung ano hinahanap na requirements ng immigration [textspeak!] sa NAIA na need na ipresent sa kanila. actually ang marriage contract lang na hawak ko ay [textspeak!] from dubai consulate, yung irerelease kasi ng NSO e after six months pa nila irerelease..

sa palagay niyo ba ok lang na [textspeak!] marriage contract from consulate ang hawak ko??next week na kasi ang flight ko to dubai..im afraid na magkaroon ng problema s documents ko..

sana po may makapagbigay po ng infos..

It's true, very tempting mag-shopping dito specially when everything's on sale. Ganun din ako during my first few years here, pero eventually you outgrow that weakness and move on to another stage in your life where there's nothing as fulfilling as seeing your savings account grow dramatically every pay day. 

Still we allow ourselves some luxury and pampering once in a while, and that's where these group-buying deals come in very handy. Basta be prudent lang and choose only the deals which you need tsaka always check if pasok pa rin sa budget mo.

Sis chicgurl, just ask around and I'm sure a lot of sisses here would know a good salon that won't suck the life out of your wallet.  Problema nga yan dito, di ganun ka-galing mga hairstylists unlike sa pinas, so choose carefully.

Hi sisses! I'll just try my luck here..  Anyone of you who visits USA while residing here in UAE?  Am thinking to travel mid next year with hubby and our toddler.  So as early as now, I would like to get some ideas what the procedures are in getting a tourist visa.  Thanks in advance!

Sis bhey, interested din ako sa info na yan, hopefully someone can share with us her experience here. Based on the US embassy website, there aren't much requirements unlike sa pinas na pati titulo ng lupa nyo eh ipe-present mo.

goodpm po sa lahat! nag try po ako mag apply sa agency and was accepted by the employer, under food and beverage industry and sa kitchen and work. i believe sa wafi mall daw ang location namin. itatanong ko lang po kung makaka survive ba ang isang tao kung 1500 Dirhams ang sasahurin? sagot daw po ng employer ang accomodation. bale 3 pinoy po kami pupunta doon. sobrang nag iisip ako dahil kinikita ko na yan dito sa pinas mas higit pa, pero gaya nga ng sinabi ng chef instructor ko dati na if you will aspire for a job in a kitchen you need to forget all the glories that you had including your salary because we really have to start from scratch.

bale and question ko po, kaya ko po ba mabuhay dun ng ganun lang ang sahod? dami nagsasabi sakin na hindi daw. ang hirap naman mag base sa onting opinion po lamang. hindi po ako mag papadala ng pera sa pinas iipunin ko lang siya kasi i have a husband here and maganda naman ang work niya so he will be the one to support my daughter, ang gagawin ko lang is to save para kapag uwi ko may makapag tayo nalang ng business dito and stay for good. maraming salamat po sa sasagot.

^ hello sis... if you will ask me.. that's too low. sorry mas mataas pa ang sahod ng call center agent sayo sa pinas. that's about 17500 in php in you convert it. kahit na sagot ng company ang accommodation mo & transpo & food baka sa personal expenses mo kulangin na yan.

maliit yan sis. ang daming temptation sa dubai unless dika lalabas hehe mataas din ang cost of living ang mga bilihin sa grocery mejo di din kamurahan. ano bang position yan sis? pero mababa talaga yan.

oo nga sis eh. assistant pastry chef po, ang gusto ko din [textspeak!] experience abroad. sobrang nahihirapan ako magdecide, sabi nga sakin kaya kong kitain yan dito, dahil mas higit pa diyan yung kinikita ko nung nasa corporate world pa ako. nahihirapan talaga ako mag decide. sabi naman nung magiging boss ko dun, he will try to negotiate it with the employer. plus pa yung malalayo ako sa baby ko at husband ko.

@ceejhei, sa question mo na kung makaka-survive ka sa 1500 dirhams na sahod, ang sagot ko is YES.  marami din naman dyan na mas mababa pa ang sahod but nakaka-survive dito.  pero to be honest, 1500 dirhams ngayon is masyadong maliit..

think things over again... may idea ka na ba what kind of restaurant yung mapapasukan mo sa dubai? job description? comparable ba yung work mo sa pinas and magiging work mo sa dubai? ok lang ba na mapalayo ka sa hubby and daughter mo?  set your priorities sis... actually, ang malaking factor lang naman lagi is yung family na maiiwan.. so the question is career or family???

magssacrifice ka talaga sis pero based on my experience ha malabo yang mga negotiate negotiate na yan! and yung increase hay nako di yan totoo sa most companies here halos lahat nga ata e.. hay nako talaga..

sorry to burst your bubble sis.. pero that's the reality ayaw kita bigyan ng false hope by sugarcoating yung sasabihin ko sayo... pero nasa sayo pa din yung decision sis.. i started 6k aed here office work but e that's the reality sis.

nalulungkot talaga ako mga sis.. magkaiba po yung work ko dati sa magiging work ko if ever tutuloy ako sa dubai. as in 360 degrees career shift po. dati sa office ngayon, sa kitchen na.

tama po kayo, its all about career and family. mag oopen daw sa wafi mall yung pastry shop na papasukan ko. siguro po antayin ko muna yung contractm kung ilang hours mag wwork, kapag talaga lugi na (lugi na nga..) hindi nalang po siguro. salamat po

Sis chicgurl, how many years yung na-grant sayo na visa? If you don't mind, what documents did you present? Mag-eexpire na kasi yung 10-year visa ko this September, and I'm thinking whether to renew it here or sa pinas. If here, I hope salary certificate and bank statements will suffice.

Sis ceejhei, if you're earning enough sa pinas already, yung 1500 dhs is not worth it to leave your husband and daughter behind. Even if it's experience you're after, don't you think you might get the same experience from the restaurants or pastry shops sa pinas? Sorry sis, I understand your eagerness, but think it over a hundred times..

I'm working here in Dubai since 2005. 1500AED is not enough and its not worth it to leave your husband and child in Phils. Sad but true.

@ceejei, i have a friend who works sa isang shop sa mall though hindi sa f&b.. they work longer hours than to those who works sa office.  wala pang holidays coz sa mall nga sila work.. and most of the time, hindi naman nasusunod and oras na nakalagay sa contract

sorry sis but i don't think 1500 dirhams is worth it to leave your hubby and daughter sa phils. 

from your first post naman, you've mentioned that you just need to save the money. why don't you do that while you're working in the phils since si hubby mo naman is capable to provide your needs... and if you really want to work sa kitchen, why not start working sa phils first?  at least you'll gain experience and makakasama mo family mo at the end of the day then saka ka na lang ulit apply papunta sa ibang bansa, if you're still interested...
