hi mga sis! tanong ko lang. any idea on how to reduce the cost of parking fees? kasi di sa abu dhabi umpisa na ang paid parking.  the thing is yung tinutuluyan namin gamit na ang dalawang slot para sa mawaqif. ang mahal pa namn ng per hour. help po.

boaVista, nawindang ka na nyang lagay na yan ha... 2 yrs ago, my rent for the same flat was AED 70K per year. Malaki na ang ibinaba ng mga rents ngayon. (Although mahal pa din naman kung tutuusin...) Mag drop pa daw yan sa mga susunod na taon...

@piglet24, alam ko meron silang 15 dirhams na good for 24 hours.  pero kaya lang may area na for residential lang diba? hay sorry hindi ko alam how it works, sa Khalifa City A na kasi kami ngayon. one of the reasons kung bakit kami lumipat is parking.. ang hirap na maghanap, may bayad pa! before, from 7pm - 8am free na! ngayon, you have to pay til 10pm

^kerek! ang hirap ng parking and may fee pa. dito kami khalidiya area eh. para walking distance na lang sa office ko. ahay. di ko na alam ano pwede way sa parking. dumarting kasi si hubby 5 pm tapos ang babayaran hanggang 10 pm na. di b? imagine, yung naitipid mo sa taxi mahuhulog lang din pala sa parking fee.

dito samin ang paid parking from 8am-12nn at 1pm-5pm. palagi din puno ang mga parking lots dito sa paikot ng mga buildings.

we use 2 cars, pag may magandang parking sa harap ng building namin, nililipat na dun yung isa para may naka save na kami na space. pag gagamitin yun, ililipat naman dun yung gamit ni hubby. ganun din gawa ng father inlaw ko at ng brother inlaw. mahirap kasi magpark sa malayo.

@piglet24, kaya nga, dati naman pagdating ng 7pm wala ng bayad pero ngayon need to pay hanggang 10pm.. sayang din yung maibabayad sa parking hayyy...  kaya somehow thankful kami ni hubby na outside ng city ang offices namin, pwede kaming tumira outside ng city then hatid sundo na lang nya ko

mga sis question po. badly need help. meron po ba sa inyo nakakaranas simula ng tumira dito sa uae or middle east ng chunks of hair fall?
ako malaki problem ngayon, 6 bald spot kasing laki ng piso as in kalbo wala ng buhok jusko po talaga nakaka frustrate at wala ng self esteem, isa yun sa reason bat ayaw ko na bumalik dito sa dubai.

meron po ba kayo kilala na derma dito sa dubai area? para initial check up. 12days to go before sa flight ko to pinas, napakadaming buhok pa ang manlalagas sa 2wks na yon at baka madagdagan pa yung panot ko po.. huhuhuhu thanks po

Hi GTs! another UAE expat here in need of advice.

I'm currently employed as receptionist/accounts in Dubai. I have unlimited contract and been here for  more than a year & half. Now I'm  interested in transfering to this company in Abu Dhabi and I'm quite confident that I'm qualified for the job.

Questions:
  Do I need to get an NOC from my current employer?
  If they don't issue NOC, will I get the 6-month  employment ban?
  I heard of this policy about not being banned if the new employer will give you %k, 7k or 12k   salary depending on your level. Which level does Resceptionist/admin belong?
  In case I don't get NOC, what other options do I have to be able to transfer without being banned?

Eto lang po muna questions ko as of now. Hope someone can enlighten me on this.

i'd like to help kaya lang hindi na rin ako updated sa new procedures ng Abu Dhabi/UAE.

year 2007 pa kasi nung lumipat ako sa current employer ko.  what i had to do that time was to provide a letter, it's actually like NOC na rin coz it says na its ok for me to be transferred to a new employer.  and i had to pay AED 4,500 to lift the ban. 

hope someone can actually answer your questions para ma-update din ako

dee, just go to any derma kung sobrang grabe na yung pag lalagas ng hair mo. Naglalagas din hair ko kaya nagpa check up ako pero sabi ng derma hindi naman daw ako dapat mag worry dahil tumutubo din ulit (dami baby hair).
Parang grabe na yung sayo. Pa check mo na para mabigyan ka ng gamot. Minsan kasi kulang lang sa vitamins eh.

Yung friend ko nagkaka bald spots din. Nagpa blood test sya. Nalaman na kulang sya sa Vitamin D. Ayun, umayos naman after nya mag take ng vitamin D supplements.

@frogprincess:  kung unlimited ka you need to finish 3 years sa company. kasi ang bagong ruling ngayon, need mo tapusin yung contract mo para makatransfer ka sa ibang company.  usually, pag di mo natapos yung contract mo, di ka bibigyan ng NOC and di ka din maiisuehan ng bagong visa unless nasa 12k yung sweldo mo. yun ang pagkakaalam ko ha. kasi this happened with my husband.

another option is parang borrowing letter. kung ok lang namn sa boss niyo na lilipat ka ng company. parang borrowng letter lang ang i-issue para work ka sa ibang company.

So does this mean na if I resign from my job now and they won't give me NOC? may 6 mos. ban pa rin ako? Ang pagkakaalam ko kasi dun sa salary thing is by level sya.It would depend on the position yata pero di clear sa akin on which level na belong ang receptionist. Meron kasi  5k, 7k and 12k level. I suppose the 12k level is for the higher positions na.

Hi, just to share what I know, coz I got an officemate who recently transferred to another job with less than 3-year tenure dito sa company namin. He also has unlimited contract din, but because of the new policy na 2 years na lang ang required na minimum tenure para di na kailangan ang NOC, he was able to transfer na walang hassle at all. His salary is less than 10K..

Ayun lang yung clear sa akin na instead of 3 years, binaba nila ng 2 years ang hindi na required ang NOC. That probably means na pag less than 2 years, required ang NOC, right?

@frogprincess, baka naman semi-govt yung company na balak mong lipatan, in that case wala ka magiging problem, specially more than a year ka na..

^Yun din alam ko parang binaba into 2 years kaya lang di pa rin ako umabot kasi 5 more mos. para mag 2 yrs dito. Anyway, I've heard may mga companies naman daw na kind enough to give you NOC kahit less than 2 yrs ka pa.

BTW sis, yung gusto kong lipatan is a private construction company kaya I'm kinda worried.

Sis, natanong mo na ba dyan sa company nyo if they issue NOC? You can ask around discreetly, para me idea ka. Coz you're right, meron mga mababait na company na nagbibigay ng NOC, malay mo ganun yung current employer mo. That should solve all your problem.

Sis bbqueen & piglet, that's exactly what I'm trying to figure out now. Kung paano ko malalaman if they issue NOC wihout giving anyone in the office  an idea na may balak akong lumipat. ayoko kasing may makaalam sa plans ko tapos in the end di naman ako matutuloy for some reasons.
