Hindi madedeny visa mo sis, think positive  mas maluwag ang UAE compared sa Qatar Nung nasa UAE pa ako, at nung time na nagapply ako ng visa for my son, 4500 lang sahod ko nun pero napproban naman. Kaya for sure maapprobahan ka rin

i don't see any reason para ma-deny ang visa application mo.  if ever man, let your hubby worry about it hehe.. saka for sure dami cya pwede mapagtanungan na kapwa filipino about sa processing/requirements sa dubai

naku na disappoint naman ako sa offer sa akin 17k dirhams lang per month tapos provided ang accomodatio yun lang daw maximum kaya nila offer, akala ko kasi govt co ito and since oil and gas and member of adnoc group of companies eh medyo mataas sa average magbigay..sigh...

nagulat naman ako sayo sis, you were disappointed sa AED 17K salary + accommodation..

well if you're earning more than what they offered you, magdadalawang isip talaga ako.. but for some (like me  ) na hindi naman ganyan kalaki ang salary, grab ko yan hehe..

Sis rising_sun, pareho pala tayo ng profession. Well I also have some CPA friends who recently got offers from "big" companies, and same case as yours -- tinatapatan lang yung current salary. Though initially they were apprehensive, what made them decide to go and accept the offer is the experience and knowledge that they will gain plus other non-monetary rewards. One of them kasi e reason is nagiging stagnant na sya, she's reached the other end of the learning curve, and there's no added value na for the past year/s. The other one naman, she jumped ship coz the present employer is sinking, figuratively. Still another one wants to make it a stepping stone coz me international presence yung lilipatan nya, therefore, there's an opportunity to move from one country to another.

All things being equal, meaning, your present company is doing well, giving you a lot of chances to grow, you're moving up the corporate ladder, you feel well-respected and your contributions are recognized, it seems to me that it's a very tough decision to make. You have to take into account also the adjustment of moving to another city. So ask yourself if it is all worth it. Do the cost-benefit analysis..

It also depends sis, what position is being offered to you. If now you're in a mid or upper management level, it's non-negotiable that you be given the same position of authority. Sa akin kasi malaking factor yan kung bakit I decided to stay in the same company, even if I got offers before from one airline, then another time from the biggest bank here. Siguro it comes with age, I'm in my mid 30's na, so it's not all about money for me, but me equal weight sakin yung position, yung respect ng staff ko and the top management, plus the recognition of my worth.. Thankfully, well-compensated nman..

Well, kanya-kanya naman tayo ng priority and values sa buhay, so it's an individual decision. For some kasi they have a family to support, maraming umaasa sa kanila, so they have to put the salary on top of their criteria. Or they want to build up huge savings para makauwi na agad sa pinas, so they will look for better pay.

sis blackberry, thank you ng marami sa insights, it helped me a lot in weighing my options. actually when you mentioned about the learning curve going on the other end, parang napaisip ako sa current job responsibilities ko ngayon, and true enough, this is a big factor why i entertained opportunties outside my organization - 'coz my duties are becoming more of a routine to me and i need new set of challenges at work. thanks so much sis for highlighting these points, it eased my burden of weighing my decisons. hai hirap talaga..but i really appreciate your thoughts sis, knowing na pareho pa pala tayo ng profession

...yes you are right, it's a big salary monthly, almost 170,000php / month plus benefits, inshallah makapag suggest sila ng where to apply na companies which offer the same (almost), so that yung iba natin kabayan ay makalipat at don't stick to company na kuripot in terms of salary increase and compensation.this will be a good news to others na to move on and face the challenges, inshallah.

Hello girls! I have a problem to share.. I'm currently in Dubai, on visit visa. 4weeks nalang mag expire na 2 months visa ko.. Baka meron naman kayo alam na hiring for a Nurse with experience pero w/o dha. Kahit clinic nurse, dental assistant or clinic receptionist or kahit sa insurance company basta somehow pasok sa medical field pwede na saken. I can also work sa ibang field as long as malaki yung offer, pwede na 3500aed up as secretary or office assistant or call center agent kasi may experience din ako sa office. Help please. Tiga dito lang ako sa Al Rigga malapit sa Al Ghurair Mall. Dami ko ng na-applyan eh. Wala pa ko nakukuhang ok na job offer Ayoko naman umuwi ng Pinas. Walang work both my parents Help please..

And question, I have an interview tomorrow at Jumeirah 3, near Sunset Mall. May nakaka alam ba pano pumunta dun by bus or metro from Al Rigga? TIA!
