I agree sis gt76, we should work out our retirement plan or any savings paln as early as now coz we never know kung hanggang kelan tayo may work.

If you can see the evacuees from Libya, pagdating sa pinas, mga wala silang pera, so they're asking the government's help. And you know these OFWs are professionals and earn huge salaries. Now they're so kawawa.. So paano na pag nagkaganun din tayo, we would never know when we lose our job. Do we have enough funds set aside to live by?

Pero sis GT, what does this Intl Mktg Group get in return? Baka naman compulsory that you place some funds with them.. Though I highly recommend this service: free financial check-up.

Actually, a friend of mine asked me kung hanggang kelan ko nga ba plan mag-abroad at kelan ko ba masasabi na enough na nga yun ipon ko para pwede na ako bumalik sa Pinas. Hindi ko nasagot. Kelan nga ba magiging enough ang ipon?

72/kung ilang percent ang kikitain ng pera mo per annum =  No.of yrs. (kung ilang yrs dodoble ang pera mo.

Check mo sa orientation ituturo nila kung san maganda ilagay ang pera mo. Marami sa atin OFW na walang ipon gaya nga ng sabi ng isang sis natin dito na yung ibang OFW na galing sa bansang libya walang ipon. Sympre kung alam mong magsave at magnvest incase of emergency, job loss, recession etc. meron tayong mahuhugot, di na tayo kailangang umasa pa sa gobyerno. Maganda yung program wala naman sapilitan kung ayaw mo at di mo nagustuhan ang program nila. Sis ronalee, foremost, dapat me friend or relative ka na andito sa dubai para sya ang mag-arrange ng pagkuha ng visit visa mo. If 1st degree relative, pwede ka i-sponsor, kung hindi, pwede punta sa mga travel agency to sponsor you.

Lately, puro 1-month visit visa yung nababalitaan ko. It will cost 3K dhs for the visa, and 1-way ticket (return ticket is just a dummy). As of yesterday, 1 dirham = 11.77 pesos.

As for accommodation here, you can get a bedspace for 500-700 dhs per month. So roughly, youwill need initial funds of 50K pesos.

Baka meron kayong alam na available rooms for rent Al Barsha to IBN Batuta area preferably near metro station. We're planning to transfer on that side by end of April. I know madami na affordable rooms for rent ngayon just don't know where to start searching, yung around AED 1500 lang sana.

Ronalee, yung agency na mag-iisponsor, sila na maglalakad ng visa mo (2-3 days). Then pag na-release na yung visa,  your friend will have to apply naman for the Affidavit of Support sa Phil. Embassy, which takes 25 days or so.. I-aassist naman sya ng agency on the steps to be taken.

Basta total package na yung 3K dhs, so they will issue you 2-way ticket, but you actually pay for only one-way. Kasi ang airfare na 2-way costs as much as 3K dhs na eh, so you pay a cheaper price kasi nga 1-way lang. Teka, is  my presumption correct, that you're planning to come here for work?

@ blackberry: sis, yes to look for work, kasi ilan na yung tumwag sken from dubai kaso nung nlaman nila wal kahit visit visa, parang nawlaan ako pag asa. hehe. sis, ano agency alam mo dyan s adubai that can do that sponsoring na worth 3dhs? para masabi kosa friend ko, hehe. sis, meh special requirement pa ba para dun sa friend ko na nasa dubai para maapprove sya nung affidavit of support? thanks alot sis ha, pasensya ka na ignorant talaga ako sa bagay na to. hehe. thanks talaga.
