^Depende. Meron din akong orders sa Japan na door-to-door pero meron din dumaan pa ng BOC. Pero in fairness to BOC, tama ang singil sa akin Basta alamin niyo ang rate of duty niyo para may idea kayo sa taxes na babayaran niyo.

I've tried My-Shopping Box (MSB) recently, and was super satisfied with it. I hope that wasn't just a one-time great experience, so I can finally say goodbye to JohnnyAir Cargo (JAC) and their random rates!

My order was shipped from the US last June 27. Arrived at MSB July 1, and then I was asked to choose between sea freight ($2.99/lb) or air freight ($5.99/lb). I chose air freight. The only downside is they didn't send me an update the moment it arrived here in our country. It just suddenly arrived at my door in less than 2 weeks on July 10 – so no complaints there. Best of all, no other fees upon delivery.

Though JAC has never lost any of my packages for the past few years, their rates are inconsistent.

^^Kaya nga pansin ko depende sa amt eh. Last time kasi around 100 USD inorder ko so dumaan pa sa BOC. Before kasi mga 50-60 USD lang, tapos door-to-door na.

anyone tried LBC na? parang OK din rates nila and Im planning to order sa Amazon using them as the recipient and courier. direcho na rin sa bahay ang delivery or pick up sa LBC branch of your choice

^^ Doon ko nga rin kinuha last time. Tapos ito pa, I presented them the receipt of the last package I received na door-to-door. I asked them bakit po ito, derecho sa address ko? Ano po bang kaibahan nito at niyan? Asking just to know what to do next time. Ang sagot sa aking ng taga-BOC: "Alam mo yang mga nagshiship na yan, tao din yan, minsan sa pagod di nila napapansin so nakakalusot. Gusto mo singilin kita dito ngayon?" Haha tapos ayun parang wala na lang nangyari dun sa nakalusot na yun. Kaloka. Paiba2.

Kaya never na uli ako magpapa-EMS! Hehe.

My sister just ordered from AliExpress. Usually FedEx brings it right to her doorstep. This time, they called to say that BOC has her package. Yan na ba talaga sistema ngayon?

Kaloka nga kahit nakalagay as gift or underdeclared ang value, di sila naniniwala eh. Pero not my fault na underdeclare ang value nung package ko last time, yung pinagbilhan ko naglagay nun kahit di ko inask. Hinihingan pa ko ng invoice mismo galing sa store.

I think stricter na sila ngayon.

^^ matagal na naman pinapakialaman ng boc ang packages from FedEx, UPS, TNT, DHL, and other international couriers, specially if they think you will profit from the contents (i.e. mukhang ibebenta like multiple pairs of shoes, clothes, jewelry, electronics, or if more than $100 ang declared value). The only safe-from-boc way to have them shipped is through freight forwarders such as Johnny Air (because they are treated like consolidated balikbayan boxes). Which is why I think they're pushing the balikbayan box tax bill thing.

Air cargo you have a choice to whether have it shipped door to door with an additional fee or pick up from their main office.

pa join mga sis, i just want to share this..
even before nag a undergo na talaga lahat ng shipment sa clearance processing sa customs.. even yung mga balik bayan boxes na akala ng lahat ay hindi dumadaan sa customs clearance dahil walang naniningil sa kanila.. it only means na kasama na yung allotment ng duty and taxes sa binayaran sa pagpapa shipping..
naging bothersome lang ngayon dahil in-announce sa news yung random inspection, na nangyayari nanaman talaga even before.. sapalagay nyo pano nagkaka drug-bust o smuggled-bust kung walang random inspection?? hindi lang lahat ay na ne-news..

actually mga sis nasa batas natin yang tax collection sa lahat ng imported items..  according to section 100 of the tariff and customs code of the philippines, all articles (items) when imported from any foreign country into the philippines whether previously exported shall be subject to duties, taxes, fees andbother charges..
malaking share sa kaban ng bayan natin ang import taxes..

inaabuso kasi ng mga fly by night traders ang balik bayan boxes para makaiwas sila sa malaking import taxes at pagsecure ng mga permits..

at kaya masmahal ang mga imported products sa malls at mga legit sellers ay dahil nagbayad sila ng tamang tax at kumuha sila ng permits.. kaya wag kayo magtaka kung bakit sa online sa alibaba o amazon eh sobrang mura kasi out side taxes kc yung price nila.. kung kukunsintihin ng government natin ang pag order natin direct online, without import taxes, mamamatay ang local traders natin.. at hindi ma reregulate ng government kung pumasa ba sa standards ang mga items na binili natin online.. like gadgets, if celphone or tablet yan, a permit should be secured at NTC first, kapag naman supplements sa FDA.. proteksyon din natin yun against fraud from suppliers abroad..

i hope this info helps to clear things out.. minsan kasi pag hindi natin fully naiintindihan ay namimis-interpret natin ang isang idea..

Ok lang naman may tax pero kasi yung boc parang nanghuhula lang nilalagay. Yung order na jersey from aliexpress parang 1k lang yung value na nakalagay naman dun tapos 2k+ yung tax kasi mahal daw yung jersey e may value na nga dun at since galing aliexpress fake siya.

Hi.  I have a package from Australia.  It's worth 57 AUD.  On the Informal Entry Declaration, the dutiable value is USD 40.  However, on the examiner's findings, it became USD 50.  It's just 3 pcs of bikini tops with no matching bottoms.  LOL. So is that possible?  The package also contains the receipt/invoice from the online store I bought it from so there shouldn't be any discrepancy in the declaration of value.  It's just weird that they have to change the value of the package when in fact it has the receipt/invoice.  Also, if you didn't pay for the shipping fee and it's the online store who shouldered the shipping fee, will that still go to the "freight charges"on the computation of Custom Duties?  Thoughts? Thank you.

I once paid something like Php500 for a package that was delivered to me at home. I think that was FedEx because it was from a cousin in Australia. She bought some books for me and sent them by courier. It wasn't an online purchase, so I didn't know the process for it. All I remember is that I was told that I had to pay the delivery fee. When I told my cousin about it, she told me that she already paid the delivery fee and had the receipt to prove it.

Anybody here had the same experience? Especially when buying merchandise online?

^shopback.ph is only a cashback site. you will still shop dun sa links nila na online sites. but shopback is really a good idea kaya better use them pa din. I already earned like 1k+ with purchases i made in lazada from them. so parang nadoble pa ang discount kasi may discount din sa lazada. I only recently have known shopback. If i did earlier, baka laki na ng cashback ko sa dami ng nabili ko sa international sites which they also support.
