Re ASOS, since through post office, I usually allot 3-6 weeks lead time. Depends kung gano kasipag ang postman. Postman will usually leave a notice card sa mailing address, letting you know that there's a package waiting to be claimed sa post office.

On the day of claiming, just bring notice card and valid id. They'll locate the package on their masterlist, then you pay php50. Then wait for releasing and pray that you won't get taxed. Hehe.. Customs staff will usually open or check the contents of the package, and the value indicated. If they think it's taxable, they'll compute. If di ka nila feel i-tax, they'll release the package na.

On sizing, minsan depends sa brand.. me na-order na ako na medyo masikip. Meron namang i ordered one size smaller na nga (kasi nabasa ko, loose fit), pero maluwag pa din.. but generally, ok naman ang sizing. I kept the masikip/maluwag items na din kasi mahal shipping if ire-return ko pa. Pinamigay ko na lang.

Doesn't ASOS offer free returns, sis?

^ you have to shoulder kasi the shipping from PH to UK.. I don't think they'll reimburse the shipping cost for returns + refund pa of returned items. You can ask them siguro to be sure if they'll refund..

Once lang ako nag-"return" sa ASOS, but the reason kasi was nadoble padala nila sa akin, so they refunded the shipping cost for that. Yung unang order ko kasi, one month na wala pa. So I emailed them, sabi ko di ko na-receive so yun, nag-resend sila. After nasend yung 2nd package tsaka ko nareceive notice from post office (di ko pa alam that time na matagal pala pag via PO, hehe). So I asked them what I should do with the 2nd package. Sabi, iregistered mail ko na lang daw then they'll reimburse me for the shipping cost. I am not sure if the same treatment will apply for normal returns.. ask them na lang siguro..

For me kasi, ok lang din for me to keep the items kasi me mapagbibigyan naman ako.

Almost 2 yrs ago, bumili ako sa cath kidston UK na worth £108 (kasama na shipping dyan) tapos naipadala thru PO. Wala ako binayaran na tax tapos dineliver pa sa bahay. Parang regular mail lang ang dating.

Kaya umulit ako.

Yung 2nd and 3rd na binili ko less than £70 yun items plus 20£ shipping e 2k+ pa ang taxes and duties na pinabayaran sa akin ng dhl.

Itong huli na binili ko £130+ kasama ang shipping na 20£ dyan tapos 4k+ ang siningil ng dhl.


Last ko na sa cath kidston nag-iipon na kasi pang-regalo sa pasko kaso ang mahal na ng binayaran ko.

Edited to add: amazon prime member ako for 1 yr lang mga 3yrs ago nung nahuhumaling pa ako sa online shopping. Sulit kasi libre lang yun membership ko. May offer kasi before na pag binili mo yun certain items tapos qualified sa amazon mom bibigyan ka ng 1 month free prime membership. Nakuha ko lahat yun 12 months

Nag-ooffer pa rin amazon sa akin until now ng pag mag-prime member ako may free ako $59 worth ng baby items. Hindi ko na kinikuha. Last week nag-offer sila 1 month free ulit so inaccept ko

^ what do you mean na tax? Sales tax sa US, or yung Customs tax dito sa Pinas? If customs tax, you can have your item shipped from US to Pinas via Johnny Air, babayaran mo lang yung per pound na shipping charges + handling + VAT. Is Sales Tax sa US, it depends kung sang state based yung binibilhan mong site, at kung saang state mo ipapaship.

Finally got my notice card this morning (delivered by the postman) stating that the parcel I ordered from ASOS last July 26 is now ready for claiming at the local post office (but as per ASOS, I was supposed to receive it on or before August 5 though). Anyway, I'm just crossing my fingers I won't get taxed.
