sis gaano katagal before nagkaron ng NSO certified copy yung revised birth certificate ni hubby mo?

nung sinabmit namin sa NSO yung documents, after 3-5days (basta not more than 1 week ata yun) mo babalikan yung birth certificate na may remarks ng correction sa bandang ilalim.

Nagkaron ako ng prob sa birth cert nung kukuha na ko ng passport, instead na aura yung basa sa dfa eh auna, dahil naka hand written siya, bumalik pa ko dun sa local registrar office kung san ako pinanganak. Tapos kumuha sila lahat ng documents sakin na nagiindicate na Aura yung name ko, tapos saka ko pinasa sa main office ng NSO,then after a week ko ata nabalikan. Pinahirapan talaga ko nung nagsulat na nurse.xD

i know maraming magugulat.. hehe hanggang ngayon wala pa ako record sa NSO, and hilot lang nagpaanak sa mama ko.. may birt certificate ako pero walang tatak from cityhall kung san ako pinanganak, siguro hindi nailakad.. 

umabot ako ng college mali pala ang middle name na gamit ko (another problem to, and wala rin record sa NSO) so lahat ng government IDs ko yung nakasanayan kong (maling middle name) ang gamit ko insted of Saac eh Isaac ang nakalagay duon..


sa may magrereply thank you po,, i need to go to the province pa di ba? or tanong ko din lang kung pede ba magpa- late register dito sa manila kung san ako lumaki? ty

^i'm not sure kung paano sa birthday pero sa gender, ipapakorte nyo pa yan kung gusto nyo mapalitan.  sabi mo husband mo sya? buti hindi kayo nagkaproblem sa marriage license kasi if titignan ang birth cert parang pareho kayong FEMALE na kinasal diba. ganyan kasi sa friend ko, girl naman sya pero MALE sya sa birth cert. before sya kinasal, pinaayos pa nya yung birth cert nya.

i dont think papayag ang NSO na icancel ang registration. actually if you choose to go by court, hindi sya talaga "papalitan". lalagyan lang ng comment yung birthcert na ayon sa ganitong korte, nagkaroon ng decision na male talaga yung husband mo. i think ang advice sa inyo is gawan ng bagong birth cert ang asawa mo through late registration (pero walang cancellation) which is for me eh hindi dapat kasi may birth cert na sya eh, mali lang ang details.

yan din ang problem ko dati. akala ko d nako maikakasal dahil "MALE" ang gender ko sa birth certtificate. thank god d nman sya naging problema dun. sa passport na lang [textspeak!] ako magkakaproblema.

mga sis maybe this would help if ever may mga questions kayo. check NSO's website and choose CHAT NOW. mabilis sumagot mga agents nila and you can ask anything all about sa birth certificate pati na din sa mga CENOMAR, marriage certificate, etc. i just tried it kanina and okay naman kausap yung mga agents na sumasagot.

Has anyone tried to have their NSO birth certificate changed due to typographical error?  I've been on their website and read about the RA..

The petition shall not be processed unless the petitioner supports it with the required documents. The supporting documents should be authentic and genuine, otherwise, the petition shall be denied or disapproved pursuant to Rule 5.8 of Administrative Order No. 1, S. 2001. The following supporting documents are admissible as basic requirements:

Certified machine copy of the certificate containing the alleged erroneous entry or entries
Not less than two (2) public or private documents upon which the correction shall be based. Examples of these documents are the following: baptismal certificate, voter's affidavit, employment record, GSIS/SSS record, medical record, school record, business record, driver's license, insurance, land titles, certificate of land transfer, bank passbook, NBI/police clearance, civil registry records of ascendants, and others.
Notice and Certificate of Posting
Certified machine copy the Official Receipt of the filing fee
Other documents as may be required by the City/Municipal Civil Registrar (C/MCR)

I'm here in the US and I sent copies of my NBI clearance, drivers license, passport that show the same spelling which is one letter off from the NSO birth certificate.
My sister in the PH asked for the following:

1. Original Marriage Contract ( the original copy needs to be presented )

2. Original NBI Clearance - from the Philippine Consulate ( the original copy needs to be presented )

3. Special Power of Attorney ( from the consul ) - appointing me to perform the correction of the typographical  error in your first name on your birth certificate at the City of Manila Municipality

4. Email Registrar - to authorize me to request for documents. 

5. Original Copy of the Diploma from ***** the original copy of the diploma needs to be returned to issue a new Diploma with the corrected spelling of your first name.

I have to ask her of course about the laundry list she just gave me but it doesn't make sense.

Would appreciate responses from those who have actually gone through the process.
Eg. Change NSO birth certificate with the error ANA to ANNA (name on NBI clearance, passport, CeNOMAR and all legal documents here in the US).

For corrections of typo errors and mistake in gender, it may now be done administratively.  Just go to the Local Civil Registrar.  No need to go to court, no need for a lawyer po.  Here's the link to the law signed by Pinoy last year:

Thanks for the link, yes that's what I thought but apparently they need the documents above as well.  It looks like I can do this from here in the US through the Consul..that might be a better route.

hello mga sis..ask ko lang halimbawa kapag manganak ako and di pa kami kasal ni boyfie kasi di pa tapos annulment ko, ok lang ba surname na niya yong dadalhin ng bata?worried kasi ako sa legitimacy ng bata..paano po ba yon kung surname ni hubby ang dadalhin niya saan makikita sa birth certificate na illegitimate pa yong bata?paano po kung ikasal na kami after ma-okey ang annulment ko, ano po gagawin para doon sa legitimacy ng anak namin?..awaiting nalang ako sa judgment sa annulment ko hopefully pag-uwi ko okey na..i am presently based overseas..thank you mga sis...

^ possible naman na gamitin last name ng dad ng baby mo kahit d pa kayo kasal, as long as he will acknowledge it.

^^sis, pwedeng gamitin ni baby ang last name ni boyfie, may pipirmahan lang na acknowledgment sa likod ng birth certificate. If ever na magpakasal kayo, pwede kang mag-apply ng legitimacy ni baby. Pero if na-conceive si baby ng hindi pa kayo annulled ni hubby, mukhang hindi maga-grant ang legitimation ng bata.

(since parents are not married, but recently birth cert with annotation to NEW SURNAME, by court)
All Others:        first name, mother's surname, NEW SURNAME (birth, sss, tin, passport, driver, etc)
