Going to the US: I-130 Petition (Spouse/Immediate Relative) Part 3

^tama sis mabagal nga F3, di na kami umaasa ng brother ko sa petition ng lola ko, aged out nadin kasi kami, all we want is mom and dad to be there. about us, we have our means naman to go there, in God's time nalang talaga.

Im sure di naman masisi US kasi may policy talaga sila,it's just that we were given a lot of hope when the petition letter finally came through tapos bigla retrogression. nakadagdag pa ang di magandang nangyayari samin dito. hay

shan99.. if wala pang na fifile na petition you can apply for a visit visa. But you MUST prove to them that you have something to go back to in Manila such as assets, a huge bank account. It would be harder for you since hubby and your child is there so really have to prove your ties in Manila is much much stronger than the fact your family is there. Lalo na pag first time mo to apply, I would not be surprised if you'll be denied. Unless nga you have huge assets here and a very stable job/ business.

@sis vain_kixie, yup your 10 year multiple tourist visa will be cancelled. And as for the CR1 or K1 it will take 5-8 months wait.

@sis jhez, tama si sis khat. If you are married to a USC you can apply to become a USC after 3 years. If not wait for 5 years to qualify applying to become a US citizen.

hay 3mos na since dumating NOA ng petition ko kay husband, since then wala pang update, mukhang aabutin ng 1yr. to think na 5mos lang ang processing period according to national visa center. 

darating at darating din naman ang F3 petition kaso nga lang sobrang tagal talaga, so better live your life and wag talagang umasa kasi mahabang hintayan ang bubunuin.

^sis, F2B kasi, so immigrant sya dating US di ba? Ilang years bago sya maging citizen? kung pagkakuha ng green card eh appy agad for citizenship....

Kasi gagawin nila sana is, F2B aalis ng pinas, wait for greencard, uwi ng pinas, papakasalan si girl, then balik ng US, apply citizenship, then petition si girl...

Or mas ok na F2A?

^f2A or f2b is 5 years before they can apply for citizenship, granting that they dont overstay in pinas in that 5 year wait time.

Thank you sis Lyn 5- 8 months is not that long. We're not in a hurry naman since my soon- to- be husband stays where I am.

hindi naman family preference ang petition ko kay hubby kasi US Citizen ako, so walang pila sa number of visas kaya lang ang dami sigurong nagaapply kaya ang bagal p rin. 

just like sis lyn said if nagpunta k ng US and you're married to a US citizen 3yrs lang aantayin mo, but if hindi 5yrs ang waiting time bago makapag apply. hindi pwedeng once nagkaGC k pwede ng mag apply ng citizenship.

you cant really choose kung san ang category mo, its based sa immigration
F2A spouse and children of permanent residence (children must be under 21yrs old and unmarried)
F2B unmarried sons and daughters of permanent residence - ito yung mga nag over age, and mahabang hintayan ito, 10-15yrs bago maprocess ang petition.

ang family preference naman is up to the point lang na magkavisa ka, and pag nakapasok k n s point of entry mo pareparehas n kayong immigrant

hi mga sis! thanks sa mga sharing niyo dito. ang dami ko natututunan! pati si hubby na-encourage ko na din to constantly visit this site. Anyway, i hope someone would be able to answer my questions.  Our PD is January 2011. Since,we've heard na nagstart na ulit yun processing for F2A. un mga Oct-Dec 2010 filers were mailed about AOS  and DS 3032 . My hubby and I decided to prepare drafts for it just in case.

Now my question is, paano naman ipapadala sa NVC yun COA ko, since nandito ako sa Pinas?  Are we going to mail it directly? or e-mail NVC nalang? how about sa husband ko na nasa US? ok lang ba na pagsamahin namen yun forms na he filled up together ng galing saken. Our plan kasi was FED EX ko yun form ko sakanya tapos pagsasamahin namen yun form niya tapos sya na ang mag mail sa NVC? ok lang kaya yun?Patulong po sana sa mga nakatapos na kung anong ginawa niya during this stage. Sana po paexplain na buong process. please please please. sana may makasagot sa akin. Thank you So Much ! God Bless.

hi sis, they will send you the aos and ds3032 once you have given NVC the choice of address and agent. kasi thats where they will send the AOS and DS3032

in our case, the COA form was mailed to hubby in the states by NVC. he scanned and I printed it nalang here (matagal pa and magastos if send niya pa via fedex) tapos I emailed the completed form sa NVC (the doc is in pdf format)
