A week or 2 when USCIS received the petition (I-130) they will sent out NOA 1 (Notice of Action), this is a receipt and acknowledgement that they received the petition but this does not mean it's approved. May waiting period pa. When they received the NOA 2, that is the approval letter. After it is approved USCIS will transfer the papers to NVC for further processing. Mostly they will put your case in a cold box until such time that your PD is current, if may email update you can recieved emails when they touched the papers. In NVC stage yan yung time to gather papers to submit. Some nga were asked to give an update to their papers after they already submitted it before, bec baka may change na sa info kasi time pass by na.
Well, when it comes to simple processing of petition meaning walang complication yung papers mo. You don't really need a lawyer. Kasi everything is right here na sa internet, you just have to read it. Now, if complicated yung status mo that's the time I will seek a lawyer. Mostly kasi if pinapaubaya lang nila lahat sa lawyer and ikaw din hindi nag babasa madali lang sabihin wag mo ng pansinin yan. If you read, dami doon sa visajourney, you can see most of them are relying on the VB. I think the VB is fairly accurate, may give or take a few months siguro.

sis chelsee, when your h2b is done with the oath taking. On that day din pwede na cyang mag petition sayo ng K1, fiancee visa. Since hindi pa kayo kasal and he can also file a separate petition for his baby. Since USC na h2b mo, madali lang yung waiting espcially now. Most petition is approved after 3-5months and if you're fast in preparing your papers when NVC transfer your stuff to USE Manila, you can then schedule your interview as early as you can see may available slot.
Iba na kasi ngayon may online scheduling na for K visa. So if mabilis ka to gather your docs, pay the fees and go to St. Lukes for medical as early as 4-5 months nandito na kayo ng baby mo. I see timeline sa visajourney tapos na sila as early as 3 1/2 months. Good luck sayo inyo sis. And madali lang din yung processing no need to get a lawyer, may step by step makikita mo sa internet/uscis/visajourney website.

sis ysella, yup sis mas better yung more ibigay than lacking yung docs. Aside what you've mention e-submit mo din yung photos ninyo with baby. Mostly sa first submission eh photocopy lang ibigay ninyo for the Birth/Marriage Certificate, back and front photocopy of your hubby's GC or Naturalization Certificate if USC cya. Photocopy of joint bank account statements, photocopy of lease/rent/mortgage statement sa apartment/house ninyo.
Sa NVC stage lang yung original submission kailangan. And yes, kailangan may kopya ka when you go to your interview din just to be prepared. If they will ask for more docs/evidence.
