Depende sis kung galing ang funding for DSA mo sa training fund ng office nyo, then yes, you need to liquidate. I-present mo lang proof of travel mo (certificate of attendance, etc).

If the funding (or per diem) was provided by a sponsoring agency, then no need to liquidate.

i just want to share. a friend of mine works at a government agency. matagal na rin siya doon and wala pa siyang permanent status. a few weeks ago, may pinasuyo kami. sinabi niya na regular na siya... pero sabi ng wife niya sa amin na he paid for his item. well, hindi naman siya nagtiyaga sa dati niyang position if hindi malaki sweldo and now na regular na siya, even if he paid for the item eh mas malaki parin sweldo niya.

^hindi siya pumayag mapromote? nge.

all the while akala ko nga masipag siya kase yung position na nakuha niya is really maganda. pero binayaran pala niya yung position na iyon. oh well, hindi ko naman siya sinisisi if ganun. mahirap din kase mapermanent sa government lalo na if wala kang backer. madalang lang yung napropromote dahil sa masipag ang isang tao.

Question for civil servant sisses who like to travel.

Does anyone know if nare-retain sa e-passport ang information na govt employee ka? Naisip ko kasi sabihin na lang na student ako (which is true) kapag hindi official travel.

I will also be renewing my passport soon at ilalagay ko ang job title and not "Govt Employee". Plan ko nga is student na lang.

TIA sa sasagot. :)

Hi Minnie,

I've been in the government too and everytime I renew my passport, I would put student sa job and purpose is always tour, never had problems with it. or I guess you can just put your job title, they really dont care about what you write.

Thanks, shadow_man! I might just put student or the generic job title, depending on the supporting documents I can bring.

Thanks sis. I've always wondered if naka-store sa e-passport ang info na civil servant ka. hehe. Will be traveling with friends, three of us govt employees. only 2 of us had history of traveling na naka-declare na govt employee. Yung isa this time, di daw niya ideclare.

^^Sis SOFIEMAE, yup, nakalusot naman siya. It helped na we were a group kaya di kami masyado tinanong (yung mga nauna lang). I don't know what he put on his immigration card though.

Meron ba ditong nagsimula as job order? What does your agency do to hire people, given the limited items? Job order? Or meron bang naghahire through agency?

Question: legal ba talaga yung job order? Sobrang sad lang and frustrating.

Hope someone can relate. Would really appreciate your insights on this. TIA!

^ I work as a contractor for the government institute I work for. Nag-rationalize kami about 2-3 years ago so most of the plantilla, tinanggal na. 80% ng employees dito ay contractors lang, as in some have been working for 10-15 years na pero walang maibigay na permanent position talaga.

Hehe no employer-employee relationship nga pero kailangan naming sumunod sa CSC rules and regulations. Required kami mag PhilHealth and SSS pero voluntary 'yung type ng contribution, as well as life insurance.

Most people stay (myself included) because of the competitive salary rate.

^Thanks for the input, sis. Yung salary niyo ba is may dagdag na to provide for the mandatory contributions? For instance, halimbawa, tinatapatan ang rate ng permanent employee na same position PLUS yung mandatory contributions na kayo ang magfifile (pero employer dapat ang nagsshoulder)?
