^that's a very interesting option. risky (in case plans for the property don't pan out) but high returns naman.

if you plan to deposit it for a long-term TD sa bank i suggest you split your 1M dahil hanggang 500k lang ang covered nang PDIC. for example, Landbank is offering a long-term TD in which you will lock in your money for 5years walang galawan. after 5years makukuha mo siya tax-free. may option ka to have your interest credited to a landbank SA annually. i think the last interest rate was around 5% (not sure ha call them and ask about HArvest5 yun ang pangalan nung longterm TD nila). ang maganda diyan gawin mo kuhanin mo annually ang interest na kinikita nung 500k mo. matibay naman ang landbank since govt bank iyan. for the other 500k pwede ka maghanap nang another bank to invest it in since mukhang ang gusto mo is liquid ang pera mo

I pulled out my TD from the bank 2 months ago. Its not naman 1M yet. pero i invested it to a real estate/condo investor na nagpu-pool ng funds sa pagbili ng properties. I was assured of a 36% annual interest for my money and monthly me pay-out sya na binibigay. After doing my due diligence(checking of backgrounds, banks, and other investors), i found out na mas ok sa ganung sistema kesa mag-stay sa bank ang pera mo. 1 year ang placement ko ng pera and so far sa 2months na tinakbo ng pera ko, me 72k na ko na returns from the 300k na nauna kong naka-place. Worth taking the risk para sa kin...

Hi sis! Na-curious ako dito kasi I'm also planning to invest din. Ask ko lang sana how this works? Secured ba ang capital dito?

TIA! :)

I also want to venture into real estate.  Yung mga foreclosed properties.  But I still have to save more.

Try to check with HSBC.. may inooffer silang 18% per annum. Nabangit lang ng friend ko na account holder sa HSBC, pag uwi niya sa June icoconfirm daw niya.

Ts, it depends on your risk factor. bank is the most safest means for your 1M to earn iterest. We have mutual funds, stock trading and forex. You can start a small buisness. Rentals like house, apt/rooms. ask mr. google, learn  'how to grow you money". :)

Set-aside an amount as emergency fund, and invest the rest. You may opt for stock market (blue chips)investments, mutual funds, or single-pay VUL (Variable Unit-linked). Investments can yield as much as 10% based on a 5yr period. High risk, but it is legit.

IMO, before you invest your money into anything, the first question to ask is if you're insured or not. Make sure first na meron ka ng life/ health insurance before anything else. Madali ding mawawala yung mga investments na meron ka ngayon just in case na may emergency or kung ano man ang mangyari :)
