Affordable Accomodations in Singapore

Which among the following is okay? V Hotel Baleister, Value thomson or value nice?

When I got married early this year, I booked my family and relatives in YMCA International House Hotel near Dhoby Ghaut MRT. May free breakfast sila and wifi, and ang ganda ng location dahil 3 lines ng MRT yung nasa Dhoby, then nasa central part of SG pa yon so madali lang pumunta ng City Hall, MBS, or even sa SG Zoo (may malapit na stop yung free shuttle bus nila). I paid S$200 per family room (max 4 person can stay).

How about Moon Hotel for a similar rate? It comes with breakfast too.

Natry namin yung Fragrance Hotel sa may Lavender ok naman Pinoy pa ang karamihan sa staff. Kaso wala free wifi sa room.

Tapos dati Hotel81 I forgot where haha. Ok yung free wifi nila use for 1 day kaso max 2 connections ata.

Agoda kami nagpapareserve kasi may discount sa cc.

@mameejhy: Meron naman. Usually hindi lang sila pwede sa dorm rooms. Some hostels naman has family rooms so I don't think you'd have any problems if you have a 4-year old travelling with you. If you're looking for cheaper options ng accommodations, you'll never go wrong with hotels in Geylang. Medyo intimidating lang 'yung lugar but it is generally safe naman. 

@leihin: Kindly read about the reviews in TripAdvisor, sis! Try mo lang sa google search 'yung name ng hotel plus the words "tripadvisor review" and it will direct you to a number of guests who have left reviews sa napili mong hotel. Dito rin ako nagbe-base kung ok 'yung napili kong hotel.

^Thank you sis. That's what I did. I was wishing lang to hear feedback from girltalkers and if there's someone here who can compare the two. I want to understand what's the major difference between them, bakit ang mahal sa Adler. Haha

Airbnb

We stayed @ V hotel lavender middle of almost everything

Or ask pinoy friends if they know someone doing the airbnb thing para safer

AirBnB is a good option, too. Cheaper pa compared to most hotels. And you only get charged after 24 hours of stay in your chosen accommodation. This will give you enough time to inform AirBnB kung may problema sa binook n'yong place.

^Oh I didn't know that. I thought Airbnb charges your credit card the moment your booking is confirmed like Agoda. That's so nice.

^Yep, its gets charged right away. I think yung 24hours is pag-bigay ng payment mo dun sa host. So yeah may time pa in case na may concerns about sa place. Di ko lang sure pano yung refund if ever.

Been using airbnb for several years na.. Ok naman so far -- at least sa countries we've been to (HK, SG, Korea, Japan). Will go to SG ulet this June -- paid 39k for a fairly new place, 3 bedrooms for 4days.

May cheaper options. I just had to choose this dahil kasama ang parents.

affordable to stay na mga hostels is in Chinatown or Little India area, Lavender street also
just compare compare na lang.
Among the hostels eto mga pinagpipilian ko:
Beary Good Hostel in Pagoda/Smith St. in Chinatown
Gusti Bed & Breakfast in Lavender
Rucksuck Inn in Chinatown

^^Will it be a concern if immigration asks where you'll stay in SG then you present an Airbnb document?

Quality Hotel Marlow sa may balestier road. Buffet breakfast at wifi included na. Meron din malapit na bus stops.

Is this cheaper lang if you will go as a family? We might go there sometime next year with our whole team, so baka 3 rooms nga kailangan namin.  Do you think you can send the link of your accommodation in Korea and Japan?  Thailand is an option too.  Sometimes scary lang din to rely on feedbacks online na hindi mo talaga kilala.
