Affordable Accomodations in Singapore

Thsnks to the threadstarter. Also looking for a hotel in SG. Travelling to SG (from kl) in sept with a group of friends, we have differemt budgets so have to meet halfway. Last time, i stayed at Sheraton Towers. Ok lang, room was just good and have seen better days. The breakfast was good though. We paid around sgd350 per night (twin)

When I first visited SG, I stayed in Rucksack INN and didn't regret the decision. Hostel siya pero malinis, maganda and amenities, mababait and friendly mga tao. sis look for hotel named "value hotel" malapit sa mga mrt stations, meron yata sa chinatown.  pero kung mga dorm type naman ayan yung sinabi ni sis ifly2shop. meron pako nakita before a beary good hostel, dorm din ito ha.

^sis, yung friend ko nagstay sila ng family niya sa pillows and toast sa chinatown. They were 8 adults in a room. Dorm type ata ito. She said it's nice and clean. But they don't have their own bathroom in their room. They just share the common bathroom with other guests.

^ AFAIK sis, hostels like pillows and toast do not allow kids. Maybe try SEA hotel sa may bugis, they're pretty affordable.

Highly recommended yung YMCA sa may Orchard road.

Rooms are not that big, but they are clean.
Very good location, with nearby Malls, Bus Stop and Close to Metro Station
Breakfast buffet also are okay.
We love their swimming pool at the deck. Nice view of Marina Bay sands

Been to SG 5x already. I always book through http://www.agoda.com - sometimes there are flash deals there. Filter lang ang types of hotels. In most of my hotel bookings, Agoda gives the best rates, even for budget hotels. If you book through the hotel directly, most of the time mahal pa sill so it's always best to compare direct rates to online rates.

Booked Fragrance Hotel - Selegie this morning. Includes Free Wifi and breakfast. Not bad.

  during my stay in SG, we stayed at Rucksack Inn. Didnt regret my time there.  Booked rucksack thru agoda kasi maraming flash deals every now and then. Sana makabalik ulit ng SG.

Most backpackers inns do not allow kids. If you have a backpackers inn in mind, perhaps you can ask them directly to be sure. For hostels, mas malaki chance na pwede ang kids. Or maybe you can check if it's mentioned on their (hostel's or inn's) websites or on review sites like Tripadvisor or Agoda.
