Crammer Planner agree with you. I spent din a good amount of money but i still consider mine simple. We didn't go with what is uso, no SDE no pre nup pictures, etc. We paid for what we wanted, good value suppliers and what we thought the guests would enjoy.

Net worth is hard, i dont know our net worth dahil not sure sa value ng properties namin and mortgage sa bank but the amount we spent is equivalent to our total one month gross salary, mga two months kung net. Syempre may mga bayarin din so we had to save up, 10 months ang prep namin.

^for net worth, i think same tayo sis. Based on budget (exclusive of honeymoon), ganyan din sa amin 1 monthly gross income then, almost 2 months net. Pag kasama honeymoon 2.5 months gross income.

Yun prenup and SDE costs, nasa 9% na ng total wedding budget. Parang pinagiisipan ko na rin hindi ituloy, but then, wala na nga kami entourage, siguro tuloy na lang namin yun mga photoshoots and video.

Plain and simple, spending within your means. It's a preamble to living within your means as a wedded couple.

^Sis blackgreen, tuloy mo na yung photoshoot and SDE mo. Minsan lang naman ang wedding.  :)

When we were saving up for our wedding, worth 2 months gross salary lang. :-[ We're trying to cut costs. Wala kaming photobooth, less than 100 ang guests, DIY ang invitations, RTW ang gown at nilet-go ko na ang gusto ko talagang videographer. We cut back on things na pwede namang wala. Importante andun ako at ang groom ko.  ;D

Happy preps!

Agree sa video, its not only for your children and grandkids to see but its for yourself and your husband. But actually twice ko lang pinanood in full ang buong wedding, puro wedding highlight ang paulit-ulit kong pinapanood. pictures and videos are essential. I had a 5 minute wedding highlight. Its like an SDE but not same day, got it mga 6 weeks after the wedding.mas tipid. :)

^Sis blackgreen, tuloy mo na yung photoshoot and SDE mo. Minsan lang naman ang wedding.  :)

Haha! I even had some thoughts before na why can't i have this? That? Basta ang iniisip ko na lang is, regardless of the details of our wedding, it still will be my dream wedding because i will be marrying the most amazing man.

Anyway, Agree with the video. Kase darating talaga yung point na papanuorin mo yung kasal nyo eh. Maybe after the wedding, or maybe pag matanda na kayo..

Initially we don't want an SDE. Pero since our p/v offered it as a freebie naman, why not diba.

Yung sa prenup, there are loads of cheap ways to have a prenup shoot. A friend hired a group of aspiring photographers/ photo hobbyists to do their prenup. X-deal lang, you shoot us, we promote you. In short, free of charge as long as the photogs are allowed to use the photos sa portfolios nila. They had the shoot sa streets in Manila. It was very candid and the best part was -- the location was free, unlimited hours pa! Plus the shots were really just candid and fun, hindi staged and model-y which is yun talaga ang peg ng couple. And everything was free!

Hi mga sissies, when you say simplest wedding. Magkano iyon para sa inyo? How much is your budget for the entire wedding?

Pero I think it's also good to think when to apply this. Like yung video and SDE, minsan lang talaga yun, di na pwedeng maulit yun eh unless magpapakasal ulit. Pero yung ibang things like food, photobooth, even sa band, pwedeng icompromise yun kase we can experience those things in other times or in other events.

Sis ilove090509, that's a good question. Our budget is around 200-250k. We're not willing to spend more than that. Kaya kami nagbudget ng ganun kase yun yung pinakarealistic na budget based sa gusto naming venue at sa number of guests. We're getting married in Tagaytay with around 80 people.

Hi sis! Una eh, what's simple for you may not be simple for others. Like, is it a civil wedding ba? Or church?
A civil wedding can go as low as 20k below. A pair of ring merong 8k php na, then the license and immediate family only. You can eat in a simple restaurant! Mahalaga, may basbas.  :)

2nd, consider nio yung budget nio.

Wedding sa province maybe fully sponsored, from the old gown of an aunt to the reception na ambagan ng buong barangay,, it can happen  ;D

Kinausap ko nga si h2b about this sabi niya diba gusto mo talaga ng SDE, non-negotiable mo pa nga next to wedding date. Hahaha..

Kasi makikeep mo sia for a very long time!!
Our souvenirs are photobooth na. Kaya 3 hours ang nakuha naming photobooth. The usual souvenirs like items na babasagin or mga anik anik na decors can be aalikabukan, aamagin, or baka mabasag, so bye bye memories na. But the pictures, once nasa album, manilaw, maaalala pa din ng guest yung day ninyo. Ayun! hehe. Wala rin kaming stylist tama ka. For me Styling is mostly for the sake of photography backdrops or nakakaganda tlaga ng paligid. Pero faces ang importante. hehe. Wala kaming budget for styling. D namin pinagkaabalahan ni piso yun.  :D

Hahaha tama. Basic styling is fine naman. ;)

Sis Maxim04 and blackgreen, wala din akong stylist.

Wala kaming photobooth.

By definition, simple means basic, easy and uncomplicated. So if you think you're wedding fits those words then you have a simple wedding.

sis sakura30 i originally budgeted 120k for an intimate tagaytay wedding of 80pax. hindi pala realistic habang papalapit na ng papalapit. kasi yung transpo, gas, yung preps place, so yun naging 200 yung final expenses namin when we had our tagaytay wedding. but i must say sobrang simple lang sya at sobrang tipid lahat. wala din akong kineme sa styling. we had our reception in balay indang, maganda na yung interior nung place, so yun na sya. actually, nakatipid kami dun kasi free na yung venue dun. e tagaytay venues cost 30k and above...

sis maxim04, blackgreen and sis simang. non nego din sakin ang SDE. sabi ko kay hubby, this is something na pwede natin panuorin na mababalik yung memories and how we exactly felt at that moment. kasi yung pictures, stills lang sya.. pero yung video... kitang kita mo dun kung ano yung nararamdaman natin at that exact time. :)

kami wala kami photobooth, prenup, ndi ako nag trial makeup, walang bayad sa venue, simple church flowers, simple ento flowers, simple divi gown, sagot ng ento yung mga damit nila, affordable PV package(service only, no print outs - full photo, full video, SDE), no invitation print outs, no lights, simple sound system, no event styling... maraming ways para makatipid. depende sa kanya kanyang priorities ng brides :)
