to be honest, if your budget for p/v is only 15k. even my photographer, which is based in the province and thus has lower rates than the metro, charges 19k for his service only package. maybe you might want to choose just one - either the photographer or the videographer...just a thought...but if you can find a p/v for that price then that would be awesome :-)

Kung ako masusunod, i will do the following:
1. i found some beautiful gowns sa zalora. may nakita ako na nasa 7000 ata. May different sizes. May gowns for as low as 1300.
2. Buy wedding cake sa local bakeshop. There's a okay (malaki) na  cake for as low as 3500. May free delivery pa like goldilocks or red ribbon.
3. Hire an acoustic solo singer. Marami dyan for as low as Php5500

Sa food nalang kami mag co-concentrate and photo video.

So far, I'm still torned between a garden wedding or a hotel reception. HAist.

It's a once in a lifetime event

I think yun pinaplano namin kasal one of the simplest wedding. Very intimate, immediate families plus if ever super close friends. We don't have an entourage, wala naman sila role since Islamic wedding kami. Wala din masyado program. We will have the ceremony and reception in one place.

It really depend sa inyo sis. ang pinaka importante naman is makasal kayo with or without the kaartehan. hehe.

nung una kase gusto ko yung big wedding, kaya lang sa mga gusto ko na venue, yung reception pa lang is nasa 200k+ na agad for 100 pax, e nasa 200 yung gusto ko bisita, now down to a simpler, more intimate and practical wedding. naging 80 guests below nalang kami. smaller church and venue pero quality food and photography maybe.

I'm excited kahit na wala p talaga final plans yet.

Basta kami ni h2b ang gusto talaga namin, may budget man or wala, intimate wedding.

^ For those na nagtatampo, part of me think you shouldn't care pero part of me feels like you should spend a day with those other people just to celebrate. Tipong simple lunch celebration lang if kaya ng budget.

Yung wedding ng tita ko was very simple rin. Around 15k lang ata ginastos nya and it was really great! It was her second wedding because viuda na sha with her first husband.

Here are the details
* rented out Laya in Antipolo (awesome venue)
* preparation is at Laya na rin
* Laya provided catering as well, some relatives brought food as well
* konti lang kami, around 30 pero puro relatives lang talaga, everyone was asked to wear white, casual to semi-formal pero nothing extravagant
* coordinator and photographer is the daughter of the bride
* ceremony was held beside the pool, DIY ang arc and then placed lang around 10 lanterns sa pool
* simple cake and favors
* preps, ceremony, picture taking, dinner, dancing and wedding is done!

hi blackgreen, there always be those people who will complain or who will not be happy about the wedding. we can't please everyone, after all. all we can do is take their complaint with grace and explain why we have done what we have done. if they're still not happy - it's their problem not yours. at the end of the day, it's about you and your groom and what kind of wedding celebrates your relationship :-)

^thank you sis hevn and 120515.

Yun na nga lang din iniisip ko. We can't please everybody. Sinabi ko na ke h2b why not mag-hold kami ng pakain dun sa province nila for his relatives, ayaw din naman niya. Di ko daw kilala relatives nila so kahit daw mag-effort kami may masasabi at masasabi pa rin daw sila.

Anyways, gusto talaga namin intimate wedding. Initially nga sabi namin dapat ang guests not more than 50. Pero dahil di yun kakayanin kung either sa place niya or sa place ko magpakasal kaya we chose na mag destination wedding.

:) thank you sa nag start ng thread na ito, nakakainspired at napaisip talaga ako.kasi sa mga nabasa ko dito sa GT threads parang ang lalaki ng mga budget at expected nilang gastusin for their wedding meron pang 2M nakakatakot at nakakastress kasi nag start palang akong mag plan ng wedding namin,sa sobrang commercialize na nga ng wedding sa pinas parang everyone wants a dongyan wedding then after the wedding the couple will be back to zero bank account. kaya so thankful I found this thread it makes me feel na di namin kailangan makipagsabayan sa iba para sa engrandeng wedding kasi ang importante naman talaga is yung sacrament o basbas ni God, I hope that we can do this kind of wedding, solem and simple with all the people that loves us.

Anyone tried to have their reception at any vanilla cupcake branches? Kasi i asked for their rates its like more or less 700/head lang sila.  I like this place kasi you don't need to style the place na talaga.  :)
