What do you use to clean up / deodorize dog urine / poopy odor?

I just had my veranda renovated and I'm worried that if I use Zonrox bleach to clean up the mess, it would bleach my floor tiles and grout or the colors might fade quickly after some time. Is there anything you can recommend to effectively clean my dog's mess and completely deodorize the odor from the floor?

You may want to try Lysol concentrate.

Dilute mo lang according dun sa instructions sa bottle. Lagay mo sa spray bottle. Yan ang i-spray mo after mo i-mop yung area na meron urine & poop.

We  clean it with the following:
borax (helps with ant and fleas problems too), but there are conflicting reports about its safety. Found in most hardware stores.

Pinesol din - I use the generic floor cleaner, citrus or pine scented. The ones found in Japan Home 88 or American Home kasi it's cheapo. Kaso Pinesol contains ammonia. Dog urine contains ammonia, baka lalong magwiwi dun sa area.

Zonrox or clorox - kaso nangagalawang yung grout and tiles. And Bleach + Dog urine (ammonia) = gas or fumes. Zonrox Color safe (the one in purple) is much safer kasi it's hydrogen peroxide.

Fabric Softener = yung pinagbabaran ng clothes. Ok lang to mask musky smell, kaso madulas yung area after. And I don't want to associate my clothes scent with dog urine. Maybe some brands I hate.

Vinegar and or Baking Soda = the best and cheapest but I can't stand the smell of vinegar. Between dog wiwi and suka, Team Dog wiwi.

Nothing beats good ole scrubbing with regular detergent or Zonrox color safe bleach.

we also use vinegar. but if sobra na, i use mirapoo. i put about 2 drops in vinegar and water and tanggal agad yun smell.

I use baking soda diluted in water.  after that,  I use domex.  very effective. =)

After cleaning, we also use Nature's Miracle.  It is not cheap (I think P400+ for a bottle at Unimart) so we use it in places where the dogs have an accident (i.e., inside the house).  It makes it so the dogs will not continue to use that spot.  This would not be worth it if the veranda is the place they are supposed to go. 

Our process is greenex to clean the area and then finish with the nature's miracle.  We use this on both our wood floors inside the house and terracotta on the lanai.  Luckily we have few accidents--the dogs are usually good about going to their places outside.  For cement, we just use bleach.

since tiles sa loob ng bahay, wala naman akong naging problem sa floor using zonrox, greenex, pinesol... pero gamit ko today is Del fabric (lilac). para maiba-iba naman.

Our almost 5 month old lab pup still has accidents inside the house. Palagi naman siya pinapawiwi/poop muna sa labas bago papasukin. Baka kasi naaamoy niya pa rin ang scent kahit na nilinis na. I've read that it takes an enzymatic cleaner (like Nature's Miracle) to completely eliminate the scent. Pag nawala ang amoy, hindi na ulit siya pupunta sa spot na yun para magwiwi/poop.

we bought a deodorizer from saizen, bale spray lang siya dun sa area kung saan nag-wiwi/poopoo yung dogs, nawawala naman yung amoy. and pagna-sprayan yung area di na sila ulit magwiwi doon for a few days.

hey sis, try to avoid him nalang not to pee there..kasi di nila maiiwasan un..they do that to mark there territory unless we avoid them..u can talk to them..and if you caught  him doin it try to shout at him but not to much..like with authority voice lang naman..kasi no matter how can ur place is or even not smell his on pee he  will still do it..point him where the right spot is..

we use nature's miracle 3 in 1 stain&odor remover in mountain fresh and also urine off for the pee para di sila mag mark ulit. so far effective.

since i keep my dog inside my room, whenever nagppee sya i use cheapie sanitary pads to wipe dry yung area, then i spray with Mr.Muscle diluted according to
instructions, then final spray of Lysol disinfectant, so far, no unwanted pet odors..

I keep a bottle or two rin of Natures's Miracle Pet Odor Destroyer in handy to get rid of pet odors whenever we bring the dog with us when we travel, Natures Miracle is available sa Pet Section ng Hardware Stores (Handyman or ACE).

for the dogs naman that we keep outdoors, Zonrox (for Colored Garments) + Ariel solution diluted in water, the reason why we use Zonrox for colored garments is because it does the job of disinfecting and deodorizing the area but its not too harsh para ma-damage the surface/coating ng tiles or flooring.  Hope this helps.

naku, yung 1 dog ko pag umuhi, sooobrang panghi talaga! we normally use powdered detergent tsaka zonrox din. so far di naman nagfafade or nasisira yung flooring namin.

Sa isang place na nagkakalat iyung dogs namin kaya nilalagyan na namin ng newspaper iyung place na iyun. Tapos after nilalagyan ng Lysol Concentrate then let it stand for a few minutes. Ingat lang baka macurious ang mga dogs at dilaan.
