though I haven't reach it yet but a good suggestion that I can share here is to apply in a company that offers a  retirement benefit. may alam ako, in 10 years, pwedeng may 1-2 Million ka na. aside pa sa kinikita mo per month of course..

dapat ba may emegency fund muna, before saving for the million?

i'm now making sure that my money in my small businesses are napapa-ikot (rtw/vs/bbw, avon, p.o. guarantor, pati pagbebenta ng chichirya/food sa office pinatulan ko na)  and that i get a portion of that income para i-transfer sa savings account ko.

i backread and i saw that my goal was to have my 1million by the time i'm 35 -  ( i am 30 now by the way)   benta2x pa ng maigi

^sis, kun yun 1M mo naman is nasa savings account lang then I don't kelangan mo ng emergency fund. If nasa investments yun 1M mo like MF, UITF - kelangan mo ng emergency fund.

@ikaela Oo nga. Papansin lang talaga si Melissa Gecolea. Balita ko pa nga raw hindi maganda ang ugali niya. Buti na lang bago na ang format ng On the Money sa ANC. It's way better without her in the studio interview.

at the age of 29 we got our first 1M, (me and my hubby) now that im going 31 before this year end, hubby manage to make it double

Finally reached my first million at the age of 26. I am very happy and very thankful for the blessings. Lahat ng pagtitipid paid off.

Its diversified from lot property, uitf, stocks and emergency fund.

Next target is to build my own home. Goodluck to us .

PS. How pala is by working abroad. I'm in the IT industry.

We reach our 1st million 2009, dahil sa OFW kami pero imagine we started working abroad 2004 pero after 5 years pa bago namin na-reach yun kasi we always think about helping our families and after nmin makatulong nagdecide kami na para sa amin naman. Nilagay namin sa savings and then nagalaw dahil nag-invest sa lupa. So we started again and targeting for our dream house soon.
