right now I'm currently saving for a 6month emergency fund or savings fund. Dapat meron na ako by this time nito kaso last year nagkaroon ng family problems.. anyway, save save lang and tipid tipid.. Distinguish needs and wants. I'm 23 but I really want to reach that M by 30. If not, sana may stable na business by that time.

I got my 1st M barely 2 years ago. It is doable if you have a business since you can leverage your time by finding other income sources apart from the yield you get from the enterprise. Again, you can also leverage on your ability as the key to a productive and well-performing biz highly depends on the motivation and goals of the owner. And having both as clear as water in your mind develops and reinforces skills and abilities. Why? Coz you're always on the move towards your targets. You get to practice and refine decision-making skills and biz strategy, even if it involves setbacks. The latter actually is the one that'll bring your adopted system or style to perfection.

Focus is key! Not just on the financial targets, but on how you could find more ways to raise your profits and secure your earnings by not spending on unnecessary stuff. I believe the one who;s adept with delineating his/her NEEDS and WANTS gains effective control over finances.

I did it in a span of 3 years and I started with abt 120K. Im unmarried, no kids but hehe.. i still live w/ my parents so that;s a plus factor. Though, I partake in footing household bills and I shoulder monthly grocery expense.

But I got stuck after. And that doenst belong here and shld be expounded on a diff thread ;)

my husband and i got married right after our training, so wala talaga kaming savings and we only had 30k which was given to us as a gift from his uncle..after passing the  board exam, we went back to his hometown and he started with his first ever "real" job na, (i was already 3 mos preggy that time so i opted not to work muna but then i was offered a job on my 6th month so nag-work ako for more than 2 mos lang)...dun kami nag-start mag-save.. a big portion of his salary nasi-save namin kasi we were staying with my inlaws pa that time...motivation namin sa pagsi-save yung baby namin so todo ipon talaga, pareho kami ni hubby na di maluho, except sa food and things for baby...we were able to earn 1M a month before i gave birth, invested the money thru sda and we both agreed na that money is for our baby lang ;)

if pagsasamahin lahat ng mga nabili ko (lot and a car are the expensive) and travel expenses, i have reached more than a million. at the age of 27. now i am still paying to complete the payment of my lot.
i can earn more than a million in one year but i want to quit my job. i am not happy. so this is a struggle for me. lots of money or happiness in life.

and now na may baby na kami, para sa baby namin lahat and sa pag tanda namin :D syempre kailangan paghandaan lahat. :)

Earning was pretty hard.

But earning my first million came very easy the day
I learned it was all because of me.

I had to drop every garbage I had in my brain, like:

"I'm too young"
"How can I feed my family"
"It's too risky"
"I'm too broke"
"I have lots of bills to pay"
"I'm too shy"
"They will make fun of me"
"They will reject me"
"I'm happy go lucky"
"I don't have a good job"
"It's too hard to earn today"
"I wasn't born rich"
"I don't know too many people"
"I don't have the talent"

and more.

I finally realized that successful people became
rich because they had all the above reasons not
to be rich, but did it anyway.

Nike is right...

"Just do it."

Everyone has weaknesses...

Yet we all have at least ONE strength..

And it is more than enough to be successful.

Just push when noone else believes you can.

And just push.

i don't earn as much pero... hahahay!!! I will try to achieve my 1M goal talaga... No excuses. :)

This is my goal too! Noon nag work pa ako abroad umabot ang savings ko ng 600k i was 18 years old that time. Im leaving with my parents, no boy friends kaya wala talagang pinag kakagastusan.
Ngayon start na ulit ng pag iipon I am 25 years old now. Stay at home mom but still dreaming to have my first M. Yeah, its possible! Im talking with my own money ( seperate kami ni hubby ng savings).
Lets keep on praying and saving! Good luck to all of us!

I wish to have mine before I turned 30 (3 years to go pa).
Kung hindi siguro ako nagpa-aral ng mga kapatid and nagbibigay sa bahay, baka I already have a million na. Pero, hamo na... no regrets  ;D
Hopefully, umasenso pa lalo someday... para mas madaming matulungan at mapasaya.  :)

a little savings + redundancy package worth 500k,
kaso saglit lang yun eh, since I didn't have a job for like 2-3 months, and monthly expenses continues, kaya mabilis din ang bawas sa 1m. I have been working for 10-12 yrs na, no car, no house/condo, no loans, just 2 credit cards and lots of family dependents pa (sending to school youngest brother, niece and nephew, retired parent, senior aunt, etc) kaya di talaga nkk-ipon

I was in the same situation din 5 years ago, sabay ko pinag-aaral ng college 2 kong kapatid.  Mabuti at nung natapos yung isa, sinalo nya na agad gastusin nung bunso na 2 years pa bago grumaduate.  After that time, tuloy tuloy naman na na puro ipon ginawa ko, malaking luwag talaga na wala kang pinag-aaral.  Now, pareho nang may magagandang work mga kapatid ko, they usually return the favor naman thru my kids like sila na in-charge sa school supplies or kung ano man ibang kelangan, lalo na mga luho kasi hindi ko talaga sinasanay mga kids sa luho eh sila nagbibigay.  Time will come sis, makakabawi ka din. :)

^dapat [textspeak!] next sis ko after she graduates, magpapa-aral sa bunsong brother ko, e kaso nagka-baby na. and nag-a-aral na rin ang baby nya (nephew ko), so ako pa rin sa brother ko. hoping na sana grumaduate na rin brother ko, i'm not looking for favors from my siblings naman, as long as kaya nila sarili nila at di pabigat sa iba, ok na ako dun, para I can focus on myself naman. My problem kasi is I'm the super breadwinner, highest earner in the family. Ayoko mag move out sa hauz kc magastos din, I just try my best to control their spending of my earnings. :-s

very inspiring thread! Recently, hubby and I invested in a condo at Empire East's Kasara, malapit kasi sa bahay namin and 5 years to pay sya. We assume na may work na kami on the 5th year para bank loan na lang gagawin namin. I try to earn at least 20 thou a month para yung kalahating 10thou sa savings, yung natira for extra luxuries and for the condo unit. todo tipid kami ni hubby sa fast food na lang kami kumakain and we take advantage on BPI promos sa charge slips para tubig na lang oorderin haha :)

Wow this thread is so inspiring! Keep coming mga sisses. This also was one of my dreams (well who wouldn't want it anyway) and I kept praying na someday I can earn the said amount no matter what. I have a daughter and still finding ways how to increase my salary as well as my savings. So yeah discipline and determination talaga. Stay positive! :D

Pero siyempre dapat may emergency fund parin kayo na good for at least 6mos. May TD ako which is wrong move kasi roughly 4% interest lang yun per annum kaso hindi ko malakad ngayon para ilipat ko ng mutual fund. Anyways hopefully before I reach 30 may condo, apartment for rent, kotse at iba pang business na ako.
