sis saan pwedeng kumain ng Batchoy na along the way from SM Iloilo to Mohon Terminal around 7AM. Tapos may dumadaan bang jeep sa SM Iloilo papunta doon? TIA!

ted's batchoy along diversion road (along sm city) is open 24 hours i think. i've had batchoy there as early as 630am months ago (or was that a year ago?). and yes, all jeeps passing by sm city will surely pass ted's.

nope sis. entirely different. chorizo de ilonggo is a little sweet and mushy. bilbao is salty sweet, drier and matigas. ot but i like cebu longganisa better.

different owners. highway21 is owned by sarabia manor hotel (magkatabi lang sila). highway21 has no elevators yata coz its themed as a hostel, but it's nearer smallville, gimmick capital of the city after hours. century 21 is located in a quieter side of the city and it's near st paul's univ hospital and atrium mall. it is a small hotel and it has an elevator. a friend has stayed there and she said the room is small but nice, clean and almost new.

ako dati i satyed at highway 21. ok na ok naman yung rooms, sa new wing ka dapat. ok din location. what i do is go to nuat thai at night para magpamassage. 200/hour lang yata if i remember it irght

there are lots of small hotels but i'm not sure of their prices. try to check out some of the small hotels in the web: iloilo business hotel, four season hotel (owned by mang inasal owner), harbortown hotel, midtown hotel, amigo hotel, westown hotel, days hotel. there's another cheaper alternative, ong bun pension house where one of our sisses here have stayed in.

Im traveling alone to iloilo on Nov. 24-27. Dont know pa if masasamahan ko ng friend ko na tagadun. If ever [textspeak!] ba mga possible iti my etd to iloilo: nov. 24-130pm ; etd to mla: nov. 27-1250pm. Or baka meron jan na my trip same as my sched para makisabay ko sa mga tours.

mga ka officemate ko nagstay sa century 21 at ok naman feedback nila, kami sa four seasons.. nagtry kami maglakad lakad at nadaanan namin siya (cent21) at malapit siya sa mga sakayan to anywhere at a few blocks away lang from SM delgado at lasallette bldg
Mura sana sa four seasons mejo malayo lang sa mga sakayan, may dumadaan na jip pero madalang lang at di pa dun sa mga lugar na madalas puntahan ng mga namamasyal
river queen hotel mura kung hindi choosy.. mejo luma nga lang talaga.. pero nung naginquire kami dun fully booked sila, panay koreans daw nakabook.. harap ng justice bldg..

^^ sis yung sarabia manor, nag-ocular ako dati dyan. yung new rooms nila and yung lobby, facilities, maganda. pero yung budget room, part kasi yan ng old building nila. so you will pass by an alley going to the old building which lookes creepy for me. ang feeling ko habang dumadaan kami dun, para akong nasa ospital. yung rooms are ok, basic. pero yun nga dun ka dadaan.

budget kung sa budget i think merong rooms between 500-600 pesos sa mga pension houses. I suggest sis try nyo ang 1 lourdes dormitel. mas maganda pa kasi its within the city proper talaga. and budget friendly talaga kasi its around 850 pesos hotel type na sa loob. meron ng tv, aircon, complete na, malinis pa.

for food trippers, try perri todds. for less than 500 pesos. barkada treat na.
try smallville for those who wants to see iloilo. Disco bars ang nandito surrounded with hotels and restobars.

better stay at sarabia manor sis since its within the city proper. medyo malayo na ang jaro bellevue (well, for ilonggos, malayo na ang 30-45 min away). sarabia is nearer smallville. you may also opt to stay at century 21 since it's just beside sarabia. if you can hook up with an ilonggo travel blogger, marcos, he'll be able to assist you on your itinerary.

or, for starters, since you'll gonna arrive in the afternoon, from the airport, you may go directly to sm city and try out the batchoy at ted's. and if you'll gonna stay at sarabia, try dining at al dente's or at citrus, or have a relaxing massage at Spa Rivera (5 min away from Sarabia by jeep). then on your 2nd day, if you can, try to visit guimaras. balikan lang (i suggest Jordan town where the Trappist Monastery is and a walk on the beach at Raymen's resort in Alubihod, Nueva Valencia) or you can sleep there overnight at the resort our sisses suggested here (when i go back, i'll try this resort too). on your 3rd day, visit age-old churches (san jose cathedral, jaro cathedral, molo cathedral, miag-ao cathedral, etc) and pig out on seafood, lechon and inasal at Tatoy's or Breakthrough's at Villa Beach. on your last night, go to Smallville, try dining out at Afriques. and before going to the airport on your last day, buy your pasalubong at Biscocho Haus, try their famous butterscotch (sarap!). they have a branch ( a stall actually) in SM City.

we'll be in iloilo next year, june 21-23. 4:45am etd mla, 8:30 etd iloilo. we plan to stay most of our trip in  guimaras.

pwede kaya na first day sa raymen, then second day sa la puerta al paraiso? or vice versa? alin ang mas malapit sa mga tourist spots like trappist, guisi, etc.? alin naman mas ok na panggagalingan namin para sa island hopping?

usually yung island hopping lasts how many hours? kasi i saw the rates are per hour.

^you may spend the day at raymen to have a feel of alubihod beach but it's much better if you stay at la puerta since the beach is quite exclusive and private. in alubihod beach, raymen vie with other nearby resorts. as these two resorts are situated in the town of nueva valencia as well as guisi lighthouse and taklong marine reserve, then the nearest way to go there is through the port of jordan town, which by the way, is the capital of guimaras. in jordan, you will find the trappist monastery. in jordan wharf, there's a DOT outpost for tourists. they could arrange transpo for you to any destination in guimaras plus the rates are already fixed so that you'll never experience being overcharged by unscrupulous drivers.

thanks sis. yung raymen ba can be part of the island hopping na lang din? how many hours usually yung island hopping? so that I can approximate how much aabutin ng boat rental.

so from iloilo, upon arrival at jordan port, mag-tour nalng muna siguro kami inland (trappist,etc.) then pahatid sa la puerta. the next day island hopping. 3rd day early checkout then proceed to iloilo para makagala pa sa iloilo.

^the boating and island hopping took almost 6 hours and we did this on our last day in guimaras. and to think inikot lang namin was just nueva valencia. we get to explore taklong islets, walk on its sand bar, explore the caves, snorkeled and dived at a 'lake' (actually an inlet secluded by towering cliffs) and saw coral snakes in a nearby cliff, we got near inampulugan cliffs (where costa aguada resort is located) where there's a huge underground cave and when waves crash, the sound it makes is like a haunting tolling bell, we went to isla tiniguiban and swam at the enchanted pulang pasayan beach (there's a lone private rest house in the area where the caretaker and his family are the only people there). actually pulang pasayan are two back-to-back beaches but you're warned not to swim on the other side and don't catch any pulang pasayan (a rare red shrimp) coz the fairies may get mad at you. but i was tempted coz the sand's so fine and so dazzling white and the water's so calm and so luminous. ayan, after dipping, andami kong pulang butlig (not bungang araw). the locals say i got pinched by the encantos. then we went to igang islet where the marine research seafdec has a station. from the sea, we traipsed on styro pathways going to the beach. then we passed by balaan bukid where there's a huge cross where they said the pagtaltal or the stations of the cross are done on holy week. then we're back to jordan and then touchdown in ortiz wharf, iloilo at sunset.

i like ted's batchoy better than deco's. ted's has a branch in sm city. there's a deco's batchoy naman at sm delgado (daming sm e, there's sm city, sm delgado, and two hypermarkets in jaro). actually gluttony ginawa namin in the city. besides having seafood in villa beach, do check out punsyon restaurant and peppy thai at plazuela bldg (beside starbucks). try afriques resto and crave burger at smallville, perry tod's burgers ang laki! actually ang daming kainan talaga, mga sosi hole in the wall, and the prices are really cheap and reasonable.

have a 3 hour budget for miagao sis considering 45 min travel time to and from miag-ao along the scenic coastal highway. while you're there, besides seeing the quaint miagao church, roam around up campus too. the campus is breathtaking as one side sits on a beach and the other side, the dorms, are located in the hills. it's not as dark and old and eerie as uplb i tell you. try to walk down the 100 steps leading to the beach, exercise talaga to.
