yup si ms.helen. super friendly and accomodating nya. she always make sure na nag eenjoy kami sa 3 days stay namin sa la puerta. sinamahan pa nga nya kami back to iloilo. db? extra effort na. hehe

La Puerta Al Paraizo...check the reviews about it. okay naman. we stayed there and I can attest that it's a nice place

we'll be going to iloilo on july... ano bang magandang hotel dun? may mga [textspeak!] kaming bata...  tsaka pano ba makapunta from iloilo to guimaras? gusto ko rin sana mag-overnight dun?  san din okmag-stay if with kids  sa guimaras? ano magandang itinerary? places of interest?  thanks!

we'll be going to iloilo on july... ano bang magandang hotel dun? may mga [textspeak!] kaming bata...  tsaka pano ba makapunta from iloilo to guimaras? gusto ko rin sana mag-overnight dun?  san din okmag-stay if with kids  sa guimaras? ano magandang itinerary? places of interest?  thanks!

By boat sis, mga 20 minutes from Iloilo yung Guimaras. Check niyo tong blog na to. Nakita ko to dito sa thread rin na ito eh atsaka pag nagsearch ka ng guimaras at iloilo na IT lumalabas din to, try this one, it might help. Okay lang ba mag solo travel dito? Tsaka kasya na ba yun 3d,2n stay? Beach bumming lang naman tsaka konting city tour ang gagawin ko. Just want to spend my birthday alone and Iloilo yun naiisip kong lugar this year.

^well, Iloilo and guimaras are relatively safer than mm. Ok naman for solitary travel. Ilonggos in general are warm and friendly. But just the same, don't lower your guard. A 3d2n stay I think is enough na.

^ I think okay lang yung 2D an 1N. Just get an earlier flight to Iloilo and late flight to Manila para sulit. hehe

^^well yes i think pwede na rin. you stay overnight at guimaras then go back early to iloilo the next day for a quick city tour before proceeding to the airport. when you're in iloilo, if you take a taxi, look for a Light of Glory taxi coz they're reputable in iloilo. i suggest too that you book in La Puerta in Guimaras just like what our sisses here did.

sisies kapag december ok ba pumunta iloilo?
marami nabang mabibili prutas nun,
ano ano pwede mabili pasalubong?
sana may sumagot po,
pinagpipilian kasi namin kung bohol or iloilo
may ikakasal kasing friend sila hubby taga iloilo mejo pinag iisipan muna namin
kapag ok naman dito
baka iloilo nalang kami pumunta.

^yup ok naman to visit iloilo on dec. the air will be nippy at that time. fruits in season yata are mangoes, till summer na to. ilonggos are mainly foodies. kaya the pasalubong usually consist of spanish pastries like biscocho, butterscotch, barquillos, pinasugbo, etc. (check out biscocho haus where i usually buy my pasalubong). must-try also is barquillos made from fresh goat's milk. you can buy it at iloilo's chinatown district they call "the downtown".  if you can also visit guimaras sana. the trappist monks also sell good eats for pasalubong.

i'll be in guimaras on nov 10-12. wala naman kami plans na magtour pa sa iloilo. guimaras lang. friday noon ang eta namin sa iloilo. di ko kasi alam kung kelan kami mag guimaras tour, tapos kelan naman island hopping. may pwede pa ba kami magawa sa friday afternoon? then whole day ng saturday, ano maganda activities?

any suggestions sa mga nakapag guimaras na? hehe. thanks!

On your first day sa Guimaras, stay lang kayo sa resort, pahinga, ligo ligo. Sa 2nd day naman kayo mag island hopping, sa 3rd day bago kayo bumalik iloilo dun na lanhg kayo mamili pasalubong. IMO, wala naman masyado makikita sa Guimaras pag nag country tour. magkakalayo pa sila so mapapamahal kayo pag nag touring. Kasi kame nung sa La Puerta nag stay, nagpadaan lang kame sa bilihan ng pasalubong hindi na nag tour. Pero kayo, if you want to tour talaga, you can do that on the afternoon ng first day.

^ for me sis, maganda ring mag day tour.  Maganda yung Guisi lighthouse and beach, saka yung balaan bukid, kasi ang ganda ng view sa taas, and don't miss Trappist Monastery na rin
