hi sis, yan din ang concern ko, nagbago na sila, kailangan na din daw magtake ng ielts yung mga dependents, pero di naman require na mataas ang maging score, nasa 4+ something lang yata, check nyo sa www.immi.gov.au...

ay sis ang daya! Dapat nung start ng july na nagpass sila lang dapat yung affected dun. Balak namin humabol dati magpasa before july 2012 yun pala ganun din pala mangyayari. Sis balitaan mo ko pag nakarecieve kana ng invitation from them. Para malaman natin kung mabilis ang process nila. or Pano yung pilian system. Thanks!

As mentioned, I submitted application before July and got email from CO about the additional requirements that we have to submit. Hindi naman kami hiningan ng IELTS for my husband (dependent).  Bale medical and police/nbi clearance lang ang hinihingi sa min.  Which should mean applicable lang yng bagong rule sa July onwards applications.

^ IELTS or a certificate for your dependents 18y/o and above stating that English is the medium of instruction in their school will suffice. You can also opt not to provide those, but you will be required to pay the 2nd installment of the application fee which is huge! More than 3kAUD if I'm not mistaken.

Me and my hubby will take the IELTS though because we're claiming points for partner qualification.

mga sis ok ba yung school na RMIT, sa melbourne? am graduating student na ngayon pero gusto ko sana magkaroon pa ng diploma (2 years) sa ibang field... hirap ba mag find ng work dyan for bba graduates?

hi! i'm new here    i just want to ask about applying for australian skilled immigrant.  i'm a preschool teacher. i took the ielts already pero not sure about the next step. nagpa-assess ako before and they suggested that na magpa-assess sa australian institute for teaching and school leadership. kailangan pa ba talaga yun? are there other ways for me to continue the application without doing the australian institute.. thing? please help

Hi mga sisses,

I am interested in knowing more about migrating to Australia. Galing na ako sa www.immi.gov.au and I've backread this thread. Wala akong kamag-anak, and it seems that one of the easiest ways to work in to australia is to migrate - and I will need to find an employer to sponsor me as well.

Some questions are still left unanswered, though:
1) Is there a need to present some kind of show money? (That'll be great, kung di na kailangan.)
2) Is there a good chance for me to take my kid along? Mauuna ba dapat ako or possibleng sabay? Are chances good for a single parent (but never married) like me?
3) How much would I expect to spend for my monthly expenses (assuming I will be living alone, initially)? Tama ba yung nakita ko na 45% ang napupunta sa tax on income that exceeds $80k (australian dollars)?
4) Is it true that engineers who didn't from UP are downgraded to technicians and have to take additional years of school from their universities?

Tapos kasi ako ng engineering but I have more than 10 years experience in IT and 3 years in electronics engineering. I believe pasok ako sa SOL.

^sis freelancer_babe, no need for show money when you apply as immigrant.  You can include your kid in your application. Pwedeng sabay kayo pumunta, pwedeng hindi rin. But since maghanap ka pa ng place and work, consider mo din na dalhin ang kid mo when settled ka na.

It doesn't really matter kung anong status mo, single, married, etc. As long as na ma-satisfy mo yung requirements for the skilled migrant, malaki chances. Di na ako familiar sa rules ngayon kasi ang dami na nagbago. Nung time na nag-apply ako points system lang.

Sa tax naman, parang pinas din dito na may bracket bracket depende sa salary. Check www.ato.gov.au for the tax rates.
For monthly expenses, just to give you an idea. Rent ng apt if near the city is around $300 aud and up per week. Electricity around 200+ quarterly. Gas = roughly 60 every 2 months. Mas mataas if yung heater ng place mo is gas. Then kung kuha ka pa ng mobile phone, internet, etc. add mo pa grocery sa monthly expenses mo.

Talaga rin bang mas madali ang magpunta doon (with the right visa, of course, not on tourist) then find a job? Or is it also easy for me to apply here in the Philippines (via seek.com.au, as recommended) and just wait for a call from a prospective employer?

Plan ko kasi mag-work as engineer doon, as I've heard may demand ngayon doon.

if not on TV (tourist visa) mas madali if you have your Aus employer... since gusto nyo kamo mag work don' easy lang ang SC 457 (subclass 457) business long stay (paki google nalang po) if you have the employer or may iba pa namang visa options depends sa situation nyo. Base on experience, i prefer SC 457 kasi after 5 years Aus Citizen ka na, then you can bring your fam with you and [textspeak!] ka na maghanap ng work or other employer. Entitled ka din sa mga benefits.

Hi po, ilang taon ka na po ba? What University ka po nakatapos and ilang years ka nang preschool teacher? If you are considering to apply for a Skilled Visa, may katagalan and kamahalan po ang process and hanggang 45 years old lang po ata pwede mag apply..

Kasi gusto nya multiple entry at gusto daw nya mag enroll ng short course on her next visit to au apart from sightseeing. May chance kaya sya na mabigyan ng visa?

so on TV muna yong cousin mo now? first travel nya ba to sa Aus? if YES, i am sorry to say this but probably wala syang chance for Multiple.. but pwede nyang i-try. Nakalabas na ba sya ng bansa before? one factor din to. If Tourist Visa lang sya, sightseeing lang talaga wala ng iba or maba-bad record sya they will find out. They have their ways. Next, wala ba syang relatives sa Aus? mas malaki ang chance pag may sponsor, or someone to invite you to go their. Parang nagba-back up baga..

^you're right sis. I was granted a month visa kasi 30 days lang talaga inaapply ko. Currently employed ako. Tapos pinakita ko lang na documents yung sulat ng tita ko na sponsored nila ang pag stay ko. Wala akong pinakitang bank accounts. I guess nakatulong na nakapagtravel na ko sa ibang bansa noon kaya na grant din. Humingi ang embassy ng proof of financial capability sa tita ko kasi sila ang sponsor ko.

Sabi ng tita ko buti na lang at hindi 3 months ang inapply ko at baka madeny. Kasi kung ako ang embassy, may trabaho ka sa Pinas tapos maafford mong mawala ng 3 months? Purpose ng pagalis ko is bakasyon talaga. Bawal magaral or magsideline or else pwede kang ma blacklist. Inapprove sa akin is single entry which is fine kasi since may record na ko sa kanila I can always apply for their visa at for sure mapprove na. Being approved of an Australian visa can make way for me to apply sa US visa kasi blue passport din sila. Advantage sa akin yun. Kaya I guess a word of advise, wag mag expect agad. If magagrant, ibibigay sayo talaga yan.

recent travel to Aus now is not an assurance na magra-grant ka ng visa now a days (re: if your a Tourist Visa holder). Minsan, nagiging factor pa nga yon ng Refusal (may mga case na ganyan ngayon) the embassy thinks na why your always in Aus, pabalik-balik and yet Tourist Visa lang lagi mong inaapply? Reason nila why not apply ng partner visa if my partner kang Aus citizen, or why not on Tempo visa? something like that.. complicated ng mga reason ng mga Aus Case Officer eh. sakit sa bangs!
