hi everyone. i do not know where to post this but when i browse the contents of this topic i think this is where i can post. anyway, i just got married last june i don't know ayaw ko pa maging preggy but i know husband wants it na. he said that i am not getting any younger na daw. i am just 31 feeling ko i am still young kasi tend to compare my age sa mga hollywood celebrities na almost 40 or early 40's na when they got pregnant so feeling ko bata pa ang 31.

i am really tempted to try pills but i know my hubby will not agree. we do the deed but after as much as much as possible i try to push it all out from me. i don't know i feel that i am not yet ready to be a mom maybe a year or 2 iba na ang thinking ko but right now i just want the "us" time muna.

minsan din naiisip ko come what may na lang, if its god's will then so be it. naiisip ko naman na no mom naman will ever ever feel na ayaw nila sa baby nila.

Priceless

I was in exactly the same situation as you when I just got married. Although i'm older than you, I also didn't want to get pregnant right away after marriage, even though we stopped all forms of birth control after marriage. I can say though not to follow Hollywood's age example as you stated dahil as we get older, it's harder to conceive (you do know that we only have a limited number of viable eggs in our body) and that as we grow older, mas maraming complications in giving birth not to mention risks of congenital defects to the baby.

When I got married, I thought immediately after stopping birth control, kaboom, preggy kaagad. Yun pala hindi - it took us many months after to conceive - and hindi lang basta basta, I had to monitor ovulation, etc to make sure we had contact at the right time.

I would say that you should not rush into getting pregnant if you are not mentally, emotionally, physically and financially prepared for it yourself. But you ought to talk to a doctor to make sure that you get the appropriate advise about your reproductive health. Like for example, make sure your tubes are clear, your ovaries are okay, you don't have any other issues, kasi if meron kang mga reproductive problems, sometimes its better na malaman mo na habang maaga kasi yung iba matagal ang gamutan before you are able to conceive. And malaman mo na rin kung ano ang pros and cons of waiting. At the same time, kung talagang ayaw mo pang magka-baby, you can seek the doctor's advice on the appropriate contraceptive method na would not harm your long term prospects of having a baby.
