^Thanks for the input. I considered them when I first chanced upon their site. Ok pa prices nila non. But ngayon ang OA na ng mark up nila just because they have been promoted by chesca garcia, sila kase gumawa ng ibang furniture nila. One of the wooden tables that I saw, 22k ang price nila eh meron akong isang furniture maker na nakita na 14k lang ang price. So they're off my list na.

^try Wone Ambiance.  I just found them over FB and I find their prices reasonable.  I haven't ordered from them but I might include them in my list of suppliers.  I need to research more about them pa

re: Homewoods, true. When I first inquired with them their rates were very reasonable, less than 10K for a custom desk.

When I asked a year later (slight modifications to the desk) they quoted me 25K!

I had my dining set, dresser and side tables pasadya at V*****'s.  Susmio ang workmanship, sobrang disappointing.  Sabi ipu pull out daw nila yung set para ayusin pero until now wala pa ring tawag from them.  grabe, pinturahan ba naman ng black laquer paint yung dining set na narra.  even yung surface ng dining table kita yung ulo ng pako.  bako bako pa yung surface.  and i paid P50k for the dining set pa lang.  the upholstery ng mga silya sobrang bano.  the dresser hirap buksan ng drawer.  talagang nightmare itong furniture shop na ito.  they delivered the items gabi kaya di ko napansin yung mga diprensya.  kung nakita ko kagad yung mga palpak baka di ko na lang tinanggap yung items.

i texted them, told them to find a buyer for the dining set na lang.  pag di nila talaga inayos ito ire report ko sila sa DTI 

they have a facebook account.  gusto ko na mag post sa wall nila.  pero hinay hinay muna ako.  am hoping na babalikan talaga nila itong mga ginawa nilang furniture.

Hi mga sis,

May mairerecommend ba kayong furniture maker caloocan/manila/within the metro.
Naghahanap kasi ako sa Abad Santos, at halos lahat sila natanggap ng mga made-to-order/customized, kaso feeling ko middle-man lang sila, at ipapagawa din nila sa mismong maker, so ang price nya mahal talaga. Gusto ko sanang direct na mismo, yung tipong store sila at sila din mismo yung gumagawa at sana maganda yung gawa(halos same sa picture na pinakita niyo)

May recommended ba kayo?

^parents ko dati dun bumimbili...mostly laminated mga furnitures dun yung iba madaling masira pero mura sya compare sa mall...may mga solid wood na din pero bihira sis...ewan ko lang ngayon kasi 3yrs ago pa nung last punta ko dun bumili kami palochina wood na crib

A quick travel to pampanga is a good option. Andaming wood furniture shops. Mura pa.

nakabili na din before client ko dun for her restaurant,kapag mga solid wood talaga dun maganda bumili mura ang mga narra furnitures dun kaso lang if sa metro manila ka nakatira medyo mahal ang delivery charge

almost almost done with the renovation so furniture hunting/ research naman muna, nagchecheck na kami sa malls, landmark and SM. (have not tried checking our home ba yun, sa likod ng SM north. pero so far sa 2 stores (landmark trinoma and SM dept store) may mga nakikita ako items dun na parang same lang dito sa SCBC enterprises, even pala sa Wilcon at CW Home Depot sa balintawak, may mga items sila na almost same sa SCBC, or could be na supplier ng ganung items talaga ang SCBC< including wardrobes, dining, sala set and so on. Sino na sa inyo nakatry sa SCBC mga sis, they have FB page pala. from Taytay Rizal sila

^Sa Taytay magkakatabi sila, I forget the names of the stores pero nakabili na kame don before. Mas mura if you get it there kesa buying from SM. Grabe ang mark up sa SM ah kaya kahit i-sale nila ng 50% kikita pa din sila. The wood that they use on those stores though are just laminated wood. IMO, hinde pangmatagalan.

I'm going to try out Wone Ambiance as recommended by a previous poster here. Just waiting for the revised quotation as I made some changes to the cabinet I want made.

Question, is Malaysian wood good for a shoe cabinet?

Parang may nakita ako na poster may mega sale daw sa warehouse sa mandaluyong, ang layo kasi kaya hindi ko na inintindi masyado hehe

I finally ordered from classic modern interior ng wardrobe cabinets.. COD pwede sila.. Yun sakin.. Inassemble pa dito samin, took almost 2 hours bawat isa haha mura na kasi parang ito yung mga makikita sa mga SM furnitures, i like it and happy ako sa order ko.. Laminated/mdf lang.. Nakita ko nakalagay sa box, na from malaysia.. May mga gasgas lang kasi sa pagassemble pero keri.. Akala ko darating na gawa na, saka kinakabahan ako, naimagine ko yung mga nakikita ko sa mga shops na hindi okay.. Sa sanyang naman ako oorder ng mga shoe cabinet & book shelf mas mura pero hindi ata pwede magorder diretso kasi sa mga mall lang ata sila.. Check their site online for their products, taz text na lang ako for the order
