Authentic VS Replica Bags

Hi! I've been eyeing too many branded bags lately but I don't have the money since student pa lang ako. If I have the money, I'd go for authentic na syempre, pero, what do you girls think of purchasing replica bags, like Balenciaga's na ang cute talaga ng style pero I can't afford?

i think you can settle muna with the branded and not the designer bags.

lahat naman nag iipon to buy the designer bag they want, unless you are rich,diba? so carry lang din, ipon lang ng ipon.

Dont look at fakes so you'll not be tempted.

Personally, i wouldnt purchase knock-offs. They're just a waste of your money. The quality is not there and a lot really scream fake. Tacky if you ask me. You're better off saving up for an authentic. Not necessarily highend, but at least its original.

But its still your decision to make so...

No to replica bags. Really tacky!
Better to buy na lang bags sa ibang brands na reminiscent of the styles you like but not replica.Example yung Mango na brand, they have bags na ang style ay inspired ng ibang high end brands like Marc Jacobs, Chanel, etc. So buy brands like Mango, Topsgop,etc, na hindi nagsa suffer ang both style at wallet mo. Rather than buying replica. Student ka pa lang kasi sis. So dont buy or aim material things muna beyond your means.
I actually bought my 1st branded bag (a louis vuitton) when i was able to purchase na my own car and townhouse. Nung hindi pa, happy na ako sa mga Lacoste, Nine West or even yung mga unbranded bags but not knock-offs but with good quality leather.

Agree ako kay k_heart, bago din ako bumili ng mamahalin na bags house at sasakyan muna inuna ko ipundar. Marami din magagandang bags na d naman sobrang mahal, basta wag lang replica.

Agree too. I  think replicas are tacky. But that's just me.

ill go for ukay or 2nd hand bags na authentic, never akong bibili ng replica.

If there's one thing I would NEVER patronize, that would be replica bags. I'd rather use hand me downs, and [textspeak!] mga not so expensive ones than use replica talaga. Once, I was tempted also to purchase a replica of Mulberry Alexa pero hindi ko talaga kaya parang sinasayang ko lang pera ko. What I did was to hunt for a bag na kamukha ng mulberry alexa but manufactured by a diff brand. Kumbaga, "inspired" lang but not a replica. Got one from Charles & Keith and another from egg and I'm more than happy

i don't buy replicas too because there are  bags I can buy in malls that are affordable and in good quality.

^^ agree with all of you ladies. no to replicas. buy na lang another brand na meron nung inspired na design pero original. or mag ipon ka na lang talaga to buy an authentic designer brand. investment na rin naman yun.

pero ako, di ko afford ang designer brands so kuntento nako sa mango, girbaud, etc. hehe.

don't buy replicas sis. designer bags can be really tempting but there's so much joy when you purchase the real deal. i remember when i was a student, talagang my bags were made for those "harabas" days. di pa talaga ako pang-designer bags. i actually got my first designer bag when i graduated from college. it was my mom's gift for me. after that, from saving, nakakabili na ako. i only have a few pieces but really, word of advise, go authentic!

ayoko ng replica bags.

kung hindi kaya ng budget ang orig, i'll go for unbranded ones na lang rather than replica.

or second hand bags na authentic but good quality.

if you are brand conscious but cant afford LVs yet go for coach, michael kors, kate spade and longchamp,. they dont come cheap too, but relatively cheaper than LVs,.  so you'll feel sosyal as well,..

NO NO NO to replica bags sis! Also its obvious na replica lang ; you can distinguish it if you have the real thing.Plus, it's a waste of money. If your still in school and you can't afford one yet,there are some nice high street bags.Magaganda na rin ang designs ng bags . Then when you can afford the high fashion bags na ..nakuuuu you'll be tempted to buy hehe:)

thanks mga sis! medyo lumipas na din naman yung temptation ng replica bags. pero gusto ko pa rin ng branded bag. right now CMG at Girbaud yung bags na meron ako. may I ask ano pa yung mga branded bags na OK and pasok sa budget... mga.... 2k? meron ba?

^ wala na akong nakitang bag on sale sa mango when i went there nung wednesday. meron, new collection na. which i really cannot afford.

kasi CMG medyo hindi ko gusto. kasi wala pang 1 yr nagtutuklap na yung bag ko. altho synthetic leather lang naman daw ata siya sabi ni mama.

yung sa Girbaud, so far okay. functional but hindi siya ganon ka-fashionable, i think. and minsan kasi may kapareho ka ng bag pag Girbaud.

ano pa bang brands ang pwede mga sis? for school lang naman, and pref. oversized shoulder bag, kasi i have a lot of stuff... and medyo malaki notebook ko. haha

^Naku sis, napaisip naman ako dyan, 2k for a branded bag?hmm,parang binigyan mo ako ng assignment.He!he!he!
Kung nasa  US tayo, 2K can get you a bag like Nine West, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. Or sa Target Stores kasi may mga bags sila na designed by well known designers like our very own Rafe,etc.
Pero pag dito sa Pilipinas, if you want a brand new, but still affordable but trendy bags, siguro i will look sa mga stores na ito:

Forever 21
Aldo

50th Avenue sa Robinsons Galleria, has nice and trendy bags na starting sa 1K pero not branded.
Naku, pag punta ko ng malls again this weekend, try ko icheck yang 2K budget na bag.he!he!

Or try to save some more and opt for a Longchamp or Fino bag.

^ ay sorry sis k_heart. haha. maliit ba masyado ang 2k? 2k lang kasi bags from Girbaud e. akala ko may same brands na ganon lang din yung price. anyway, will check F21 or Topshop. kaya lang hindi ba shirts from Topshop are 2k above na. how much pa kaya pagdating sa bags 

gusto ko din ng Longchamp. pero yung cheapest na nakita ko was 5k and that's on sale pa. and actually OL pa nga kaya nagddoubt din ako mag-buy, kasi medyo malaking amount yun and baka hindi pa authentic, sayang. may Longchamp ba sa Trinoma or SM North? masyado na kasi malayo greenbelt or glorietta sa place ko. and how much na din. thank you so much!
