INFP - "Questor". High capacity for caring. Emotional face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 4.4% of total population.

I work naman previously as a copy editor tapos ngayon web content writer, though gusto ko na din magchange ng field. Yun lang yung mahirap kasi yung mga jobs talaga like PR, meh, since introvert nga ako and pag di ko kilala di ako gaano masalita. I suck in small talks too. Haha. So it's a challenge to find a work na I'd feel comfortable doing and also financially okay din.

*waving to all self-confessed introverts*

Me: anong ginawa mo nung weekend?
Siya: Wala naman, sa bahay lang.
THE END.

How to deal? Minsan kasi nakakainis na lalo pag work-related. I really want to kind of help her be more open to us because we work as a team.

^ Well, the key word right there is "team". Knowing that she has to work with a "team", I'm sure medyo nahihirapan na siya. There's really no problem with her because she prefers to just listen. The lesser she speaks, the better. That's how introverts are.

I'm not sure how you guys work but how's her performance when doing it individually compared to working as a group? Introverts excel individually kasi.. Just like me back then in high school and college, if it's individual work, I easily get the job done. If it's by group, sobrang struggle to the point na parang ako yung odd man out. Tinatawagan pa akong free loader because I can't work with other people.

Anyway, best way to communicate with her is if you talk to her 1-on-1. If she's with a group, she'll definitely not open up.

^hehe matagal kong pinagisipan yun, kung panu ko makakawork nang hindi masyadong may interaction, and yung maalagaan ko din yung son ko. binubully pa ko ng husband ko kasi lalo daw akong mabuburo nun, wala na social life tapos sa bahay pa work. eh nagclick yung naisip ko kaya ngayon tinutulungan pa nya ko hehe. pero advantage na extrov sya kasi naoffset nya mga limitations ko. but i tell you if you enjoy your career as a nurse ituloy mo lang sis. napakahirap magsolo. wala pang benefits :-/

yan din ayoko na parang may mali sa akin if I enjoy being alone.

^jtansanco I agree. Most introverts excel when it's solo flight.Pero nailulugar naman din yan kasi hindi naman mawawala ang team/group activities whether in school/work.For me ine-enjoy ko ang togetherness ng group kasi break ko rin yon from the my silent life as an introvert.

Hmm minsan ok, minsan sablay. Ang mahirap kasi kahit ok yung work, walang feedback or update. I don't know what's up with that.

Our manager already mentioned that last year in her annual performance review and I heard below expectations ang result.

**

I'm an introvert as well pero kaya ko naman mag-adjust at makipagsocialize lalo na sa work at syempre pag kasama ang barkada.

^ It's kind of difficult to give advice regarding the scenario you mentioned.. If I were to put myself in her shoes, I think the only reason why my performance is like that is because I probably don't like my job? I don't know.. If I love my job, I'd do everything to make it work. If I don't, I won't give a lot of effort in it. Have you or has anyone tried talking to her directly regarding her issues? Sometimes, the best way to understand her is to talk to her directly 1-on-1. Tell her your points without being offensive and maybe you'd be able to know what's in her head. Maybe she also lacks motivation if she does things redundantly.

^ A good way to connect with her is show her the performance evaluation (if ever that's allowed). Point out her issues and let her feel that you or your manager is doing this so she can improve. Just make sure she doesn't feel "attacked" in the process.

I also enjoy being alone.  I prefer reading books, surfing the net or watching tv alone.

Si hubby naman ang extrovert, he likes to socialize with friends/acquaintances.  He always encourage me na makipag-socialize, wala na daw ako social life at masyado na daw ako confined sa work-family setup.  I have my set of friends naman from high school and college.  Pero I seldom communicate din with them.

Minsan ang hirap explain kay hubby why I'm like this, kj daw ako.  Pero ganito ako eh, I'm comfortable being alone.  Kaya I know I can survive kahit mag-isa ako though syempre mas masaya if I have him and my daughter beside me.

Now that you brought this up, I'm just wondering... For the ladies out there, is your bf/husband an extrovert? Are there any ladies who's in a relationship with an introvert? Parang lahat kasi nagpost extrovert yung guy partner e...

i am a certified introvert. madalas, people say im suplada and sometimes siguro baka iniisip ng ibang tao na mayabang o masingit ako. pero ewan ko, i just dont care. basta may trabaho, may pamilya, may iilang kaibigan masaya na ako dun.
ironically, im working as a phone based teacher so usually pagod na ako magsalita maghapon. minsan tumatambay ako sa pantry namin but i just look at the view [were on the 20th flr] and that's about it.  kahit may naguusap , minsan i just listen but i never join. ewan ko ba gusto ko lang makinig ng makinig. and i dont see anything about it.
minsan mahirap kasi i come from a well off family and my husband has a really good job and im a law grad [totake the bar this year] so people are llike inis, mayabang to, and all that stuff. hinidi ko alam kung paano alisin yung misconception ng tao sa akin. tahimik lang talaga ako.
naalala ko when i consulted feng shui master, she said many people are angry / inggit at me. sabi ko paano mangyayari yun halos hindi na nga ako nagsasalita?  sabi nya , e yun nga ang problema sa yo hindi ka nagsasalita.
i dont know, e yun ako e.  mabuti na ganito less talk less mistakes. pag kinausap ako sumasagot naman ako and i engage in small chat. takot na takot din ako sa gossip. MABUHAY ANG MGA INTROVERT! 8)

Hi!  :)

I'm not really an introvert myself before pero some events led me to being one. Now I enjoy doing things on my own, kahit walking pa yan sa mall, walking sa kung saan saan.  :)

hello my fellow introverts!

i don't have a problem eating lunch alone, go out to movies alone, not speaking the whole day at work (i'm a designer)...etc etc. pero hindi naman ako extreme na introvert na bahay-trabaho lang. i consider myself madaldal and kind of a jokester among my friends. pero sa work ko they say kahit ano ka pa, bawal tahimik. ako kasi i make sure before i speak, may sense yung sasabihin ko. may mga tao kasi madaldal nga wala namang sustansya sinasabi. so if i have nothing good to say i just shut up. but i enjoy the company of my extrovert friends because they bring out the fun side of me. my bf is an extrovert and conversations with him are just priceless.

as an introvert, i'm not comfy in social gatherings like parties, events and family reunions. if ever wala akong choice but to go, low profile lang ako. i like to dress up cuz i love clothes but i make sure hindi ako mukhang christmas tree or trying-hard-blogger-type, yung saktong porma lang hehe..
