IF lilipat kayo ng ibang countries, its best to go to either Malmo sweden, few mins lang by train, or Norway 8 hr by bus, pede rin magplane one hour. or by bus 8 aways going to amsterdam. check eurolines.com

pack attempt #1: fail!

i have a dilemma! i have this julia-roberts-in-pretty-woman fab patent leather black boots, the only difference between mine and the one she wore is that mine is below the knee while hers is above the knee.

it's really fab, with heels and all.. i plan to wear it in paris, that's what i've envisioned when i bought it (even tho i didnt know yet that i'll be going for real.) i dont care if i wont be comfy and what have you, i want to wear those boots! (bullheaded, i know)

the thing is, i planned to wear it during the flight so that i wont have to pack it in as it's too bulky.. but i realized that we'd be asked to remove our footwear in airports and all, so i decided to wear my sanuk walking shoes in the airport and just pack it in.. i test-packed today and as i've suspected, the  boots take way too much space.

should i just wear the boots during the flight (i'll be traveling via emirates so there's a connecting flight in dubai.) i mean, if im just gonna be asked t remove them once or twice then it's cool, imma wear them and make do with the hassle.. but if imma have to remove them 4-5 times or more.. then i'd rather wear slip-ons..

what should i wear?

sorry if i'm nit picking and all but i'm terribly excited i can't shut up about it!!


also i bought eagle creek packing cubes today: best purchase o'the year, IMHO!

^I actually wore my flat, over the knee boots when we flew too. It was a bit of a hassle nga sa airport kasi kelangan alisin. Kesa ipack ko sya and masira ang form, magsacrifice na ako

When I was on the plane naman, natanggal ko naman sya and natabi sa gilid (window seat ako)

^^If you're set on wearing your boots  during your plane trip, just bring a pair of slippers (those thin rubber soled pang hotel type) so you don't have to keep putting them on when you go banyo during the flight. 

I haven't been to DXB but if it's anything like HKG, they won't ask you to take off your shoes when you go thru transit security.

Another tip pala since it's going to be a long flight, be sure to keep exercising specially your legs/feet to avoid DVT (deep vein thrombosis) and para di mag swell your feet. Otherwise ang hirap magsuot ulit ng shoes.

sis goddessella, you'll take off your shoes twice one in manila and once in Dubai during the security check for your transit. my sister wore here boots on the way to Russia last year with a stop over in SG and we were tugging to take if off

what she's going to do now is pack her boots in the check in luggage and just change when we get our luggage. it's not really much of a hassle

^DXB pala asks you to take off your shoes during transit security. Better pa pala HKG no need na.

thanks ladies! i decided to pack it in na lang.. what if my DVT attacks bigtime that my feet swells so big that i wont be able to fit into my boots? oh the horrors.. or maybe imma just put it in my carry-ons.

12 days to go you guys! im excited!

@little_princess  oddly, i dont remember too if we have to remove our shoes in HK airports or SG and BKK and i'm always in HK.. :/

musta po ang weather ngayon sa London? Bukas na kasi ang alis ng asawa ko pero hanggang ngayon di pa kami nag iimpake ang london po ba kagaya din ng france na may tax refund sa mga tourists? thanks!

currently in athens, transited in bkk and we did take off our shoes.

athens is really nice but a bit rougher than the north western part of europe but it's still lovely despite a little drizzle.

Where are the best white sand beaches in all of Europe and how do they compare to the more popular beach destinations (Caribbean, Maldives, Asia, Oceania)? Litong lito na ako  eh. Bf wants Paris; I want a spectacular beach. If we can combine the two, that would be perfect. TIA.
