check the up-to-date program. you don't have to go to Power Mac to get your Lion.

turns out i misunderstood the up-to-date program and i am qualified. all this time i thought US based pa lang and only those macs before the launch of Lion. apparently i was on the wrong Apple site and all new macs are qualified haha. so despite reservations i went ahead and downloaded Lion, sayang naman yung freebie. just finished installing it.

looks like most of the apps i use are working fine, so far. konti lang naman considerations ko - VLC, Dropbox, nothing major. and i figured better to install it now while my Mac's pretty new - baka  nga i waited for stable Lion but then super dami ko rin palang files at risk.

btw, my NTFS-3G works fine with Lion but am using Tuxera. i heard not all versions will work, depends sa developer. so to those who's been wanting to go Lion, look around for alternatives nalang muna.

downloaded plants vs zombies from itunes, costs me 6.99usd.na download ko na sya but hindi ko ma figure out kung pano sya i-open, lagi kasi ako napupunta sa download section ng itunes eh. pa help mga sissies, new user lang kasi ako ng mbpro eh.thanks!

^^I checked iTunes. Pang-iPad yung nabili mo sis. If you want yung pang-desktop na game, $9.99 siya tapos sa App Store bibilin. Not sa iTunes

^You're welcome Pag iTunes ka kasi sis bumili, its either for the iPhone or iPad. Sa App Store naman, pang desktop. If you want to purchase ulit the game, click the Apple sign at the upper left portion of the screen then makikita mo dun yung App Store.

mac users, i need some convincing. im planning to buy a macbook kasi pero my officemate is telling me not to but instead choose another brand na lang. kesyo mahirap daw i-network kung dadalhin ko sa opis, mahirap daw yung transfer ng file maiiba ang format. nalito tuloy ako.

^that used to be some of my worries with the Mac, I've had my MBA since April and I haven't encountered any problems with it ie. File compatibility  etc. ...and I have windows 7, xp, vista machines too btw.

^^Madali naman i-network yun sis. I mean, I can connect to wifi anywhere na may wifi. Pag ethernet naman, saksak lang yung cable at may net na rin.

About the file transfer, hindi naman naiiba sis. Sure ba yung officemate mo sa sinasabi niya? hehe Unless s/he personally owns a Mac, s/he would know na yung mga sinasabi niya eh mali mali.

I agree, mas fuss-free nga mag network sa MAC kesa windows eh. May automatic detection
din ang MAC and pwede ka rin magsave ng iba't ibang settings so walang difference at all
sa networking.

Isa pa, ewan ko kung sa akin lang ito, pansin ko mas malakas ang detection ng MAC sa wifi haha!

^Napansin ko rin yan! haha Ako lang kasi naka-Mac sa amin tapos pag nakikita ko na nagloloko internet namin, may logo talaga yung wifi na nagloloko tapos co-connect naman siya pag may net na. Pero sa Windows eh may repair ek ek pa. Pangpatagal lang haha

how about mga program application like hecras and flowmaster, gamit ko kasi ito sa work, how can i know if it will run in mac?

^Check mo mismo sa website nila if meron pang-Mac.

^^ I am assuming you're an engineer sis because of the FlowMaster :-) I am not sure kung
meron for Mac talaga but I also sometimes use a software for work (HYSYS) and though
di sya gumagana sa MAC pwede ka naman magparallel desktop hehe, install Windows too
sa partition ng MAC mo and you can run softwares from both MAC and Windows OS :-)
Ansaya nga eh ambilis! Pwede naman magswitch to Windows OS sa MAC sis so for me ha
di sya issue, pero to be honest sobrang bilang sa daliri ko na nagWi-Windows pa ako,pag
meron lang akong iru-run sa software na Windows based. :-) Ayun, do not fear MAC haha,
promise all the conveniences (and more) of Windows ito without the heartaches and frustrations
(walang pop-ups at virus!)

^oo sis. i'll be home next week, yan ang una sa plan ko gawin ang bumili ng mac. pero question ulit pasencya na di kasi ako hight tech person eh, ano ba dapat kong bilhin mac air o mac book?

^Check Apple's website. May specs dun sis. Check kung ano ang mas gusto mo at kelangan mo. Air kasi manipis but then walang CD/DVD at isa lang atang USB port. MBPro, complete na dun eh kaso ayun mas mabigat than Air.

^thanks sis. Saan namang Apple Store ok bumili? may freebies din ba silang binibigay? sa website kasi ng apple the 13" low end cost 61,990, high end naman is 76,990. meron ba kong mabibilhan na mas lower dyan ang price o yan na talaga ang standard price kahit saang store ako pumunta?
