Para ding nagdadalawang isip ako maginstall ng Lion. Ang dami pang programs na hindi compatible with Lion. Next year na din siguro ako or later this year.

^Check mo muna sis kung ano yung hindi compatible. Click Option then dun sa left side na Apple, click mo yun then System Profiler > Applications. Pag PowerPC or Classic ang program (unlike Intel and Universal), incompatible yung app sa Lion.

So far ang mga incompatible sa Lion sa akin yung mga Bookworm games lol Eh I can live without them naman and I deleted them prior to installing Lion. The rest, working perfectly lahat ng apps ko. I just had to update iTunes and Java.

I am enjoying the additional features sa trackpad, nakakaaliw yung Mission Control. Yung pag-DL din sa Safari, wala na siyang separate window (eto ang winner sa akin kasi naiinis ako mag-close nung window na yun bawat DL) nasa upper right side na siya. I also like yung bawat Space/Desktop pwede lagyan ng wallpaper na iba't iba. Yung transition lang talaga ang hindi ko gusto. Kasi sa Spaces dati I just click Control + Left Arrow nasa Page 4 na ko, eto hindi na pwede so I had to click Control + 4 na.

if sa malaysia galing ang macbook then paupgrade to lion here in manila pwede kaya since this july lang naman nabili?

Same here. I've been reading about compatibility issues with Lion, particularly MacFuse NTFS 3G..(which was free for SL).

matagal na sakin yung mac ko pero hindi pa din ako marunong haha! leopard pa siya, so before ako makapag lion kelangan ko pang mag install ng snow leopard? yung disc nun pwede ba yun mashare(hindi family pack)? sabi kasi ng pinsan ko pwede daw e alam ko single use lang yun.

^Single use lang yung Snow Leopard kasi pinahiram ko sa SIL ko di niya ma-install lol Ang sabi nga kelangan daw ng SL bago ma-install yung Lion.

^^ yes isa sa requirements yun before you can upgrade to lion. pero ang pagkakaintindi ko sa SL installer disc, if you bought the single user kind pwede pa rin gamitin sa ibang mac but it's against the EULA.

^Ay you have to go to Power Mac. Sila mag-install. Sa App Store kasi di naman malalaman nung App Store kung kelan mo binili laptop mo. Siguro when you go to Power Mac, bring your receipt na rin.

covered ba ng apple care ang battery ng mac book air? according to the apple website ang wireless web is up to 5hours...yung saken up to 3 hours and 30mins...what should i do? dalhin ko na ba sa apple store? 8months old pa lang tong MBA ko..pls help me..

^battery life depends on how much you use and what you do when you use it. What are your screen brightness settings, are there peripherals connected to it, what apps do you have running?

^it's the best laptop i've ever owned. fast, easy to use, pretty. it's a good investment because it'll last you years before you'd need to upgrade.

^ i've had a white '08 macbook for a while and just got the Pro as additional laptop this year. it seems intimidating to switch from windows laptop to Mac at first but it's super easy to get used to the new OS. for me mas intuitive ang Macs so madali lang ma-absorb yung new ways. and i love Expose (it's where you can easily see your desktop or open windows, etc). when i'm on my office PC lagi kong hinahanap Expose hehe.

the ultimate question talaga is how much you're willing to spend on a laptop and what are you going to do with it. because admittedly may mga windows lappies that have higher specs at same price, mukhang mas value for money. but me, i'm still gonna go for a mac. i'm one of those who think "once you go mac you never go back" haha.

sis, why don't you play around with your cousin and bestfriend's MBP, see how you feel about the system. then you can decide if it's for you or not.

Spaces naman favorite ko sa Mac and yung sa trackpad kaya nung nagloko yung sa Nvidia ko at bumalik ako sa ASUS laptop ko, grabe, ang laking paninibago ko at miss na miss ko yung 2 yun sobra.

^^Sis, for me ha, worth it ang laptop ng Apple. Walang virus, user-friendly. Baka naiintimidate ka pa kasi akala mo mahirap ma-figure out ang Mac pero mas madali siya than Windows. Compared din sa Windows, mas malinis tingnan yung interface ng Mac. Basta ako, go for Mac hehe

hi mac users, wanted to ask your expertise...been eyeing the new macbook air or macbookpro. my vaio laptop was stolen kasi, and been wanting to replace it. the thing is i'm into transferring my home videos with my sony handycam, and am not sure kung compatible ang sony with mac. so is it either i upgrade my handycam to a different brand ( i need HD capable, and for which I don't know what brand is compatible with mac) or baka may ibang way kaya mag transfer ng video files from sony handycam to mac computer? and pano mga games na i usually love sa pc? yung mga short games lang like PVZ, diner dash, etc. do i buy everything from the appstore? otherwise, balik vaio nanaman ako for compatibility, hay. pero naglalaway talaga ako pag dumadaan ng mga macstores hehe.

^May mga games like PvZ sa Mac as well as yung mga Diner Dash.

Dun naman sa Sony Handycam mo, try looking for a Mac installer. Usually meron naman yan sa website ng Sony

^^ you can download through the mac appstore or direct links. depends sa game. but if it's a popular game pretty sure may mac and pc versions yan.

i would think may mac app to transfer the videos. i would even go as far as saying mas madali mag-transfer sa mac

naka-SD card ba yung sony mo (sorry am not familiar)? may built-in sd card reader ang MacBook Pro.
