Best local beach to visit

Here's my dilemma:

Friends from abroad will be visiting on Sept -Oct and I'm planning for a beach getaway for them. Sa dami ng magagandang beaches here sa pinas, hindi ko tuloy alam kung saan sila dadalin (please exclude Boracay and Zambales).

To tell you frankly, I've never visited any of the local beaches ever (BOO!)  so wala talaga ako idea kung saan maganda and ok. Sila din never pa nakapunta sa mga beach dito sa atin. May budget naman pero wag naman UBER expensive like Bellaroca, Amanpulo or Mangenguey Island at baka maging beggar naman ako after the trip. Yung realistic na beach getaway sana.

Was thinking of Bohol, Palawan, Cebu or Camiguin... meron pa ba iba? Please recommend a nice and clean accommodation/resort din sana (if may alam kayo). We're not really on tourist spots around the area, concern namen is the beach itself (malinis and wala masyado tao), very nice and clean accommodation/resort too. First time namen to visit a local beach if ever matuloy.

I'm actually leaning on Camiguin because of the Sandbar

My vote goes to Boracay actually over Bohol or Cebu because despite the supposed "hype", White Beach is still one of the best beaches I've been to. I still think it's nicer than Bohol. And if you're only after beach bumming, sayang ang trip to Bohol or Palawan or Ilocos kung di niyo pupuntahan ang tourist spots. 

But given your preferences, mukhang Bohol ka nga. Or you can try Club Paradise in Palawan. Yun kasi, no need for much beach hopping since the resort itself sits on an already really beautiful island with a really beautiful beach.

You can also try Blue Lagoon in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

Yung gusto ko irecommend di ko pa napupuntahan eh pero let's say isang beach lang puwede ko puntahan sa Pinas, dun na ako. But for the dates you've mentioned, baka di puwede sa lakas ng alon. Saka kung gusto niyo resort, eh wala dun nun. Bohol talaga vote ko based on your preferences and kasi dun walang sea travel. Very fine din ang sand sa Panglao saka malinis.

Hindi pa ko nagre-research (aka google) kasi i want to make a list based on other people's experience muna. Sa dami ng resorts/beach sa pinas ang hirap magdecide. So majority wins na lang dito sa thread (hehe!) Thanks again moocake and leaves!

^ np. maganda ang CP but can be costly. But since low season kayo at madami naman kayo, baka cheaper. it's my favorite beach pa din and so far, the best I've been to. Sand is fine at mataba. Di nga lang kasing-puti ng boracay. But water is bluer and cleaner, clearer. Though sayang ang trip sa CP kung di kayo magtu-tour around Coron. That's my only concern. Boracay kasi is the only island na maganda beach at kahit yun lang talaga puntahan mo, sulit na. Unlike the ones I mentioned na if you don't tour around, sayang ang gastos at time.

I disapprove with Camiguin. Photogenic lang ang sandbar, at may oras lang yan. Do you want to go all the way there to enjoy a 3-hour beach bumming? Mind you, none of the resorts are beachfront. You still need to ride a boat.

Go to Boracay. A lot of people say it's a tourist trap or it's not as beautiful as before, pero wag ka maniwala. See for yourself.

my vote goes to Boracay too! but.. excluded pala ang Boracay sa choices. 
kasi kung beach bumming talaga habol nyo, ok na sa Boracay. Maganda naman dun. Madaming mga hotels and resorts

I think Bohol nga if based on your preferences, but IMO, kung 'beach' lang, mas maganda pa rin sa Boracay than Bohol, yun nga lang tahimik sa Bohol.
You can also look for Island Resorts in Palawan, like Club Paradise in Coron as mentioned by mooncake and leaves.

Boracay din sana i-rerecommend ko kaso excluded pala sya from the choices. Between Davao and Bohol, Bohol probably has better beaches but I like the serenity of Pearl Farm more. The villas/suites in Pearl Farm are very charming, the food is great too. But if you want to do more than just sun and sand, go for Bohol because it has a lot to offer.. on the side, pwede kayong mag-Chocolate Hills, Loboc River (uhm, a little overrated pero for the experience nalang, ok na din) and siempre pa, the tarsiers. I haven't been to Pagudpud but based on what I heard from bf, maganda naman and hindi pa exploited yung beach, mahirap nga lang daw puntahan kasi they needed to hire a jeepney to get there for a hefty price.

^ aww wawa naman. kami nun 150 lang yung tour sa blue lagoon eh saka other attractions sa pagudpud.

I actually think na mas maganda ang Blue Lagoon kesa Panglao. Sand nga lang in Blue Lagoon is a bit coarse, not as fine as Boracay or Panglao pero panalo yung tubig. Blue na blue siya talaga saka malinis naman. Yun nga lang, rustic talaga at walang masyadong resort options. Wala ding masyadong activities, unless mag-tour around the area.

riandrew: really? ay na-sad naman ako. was thinking of staying at Paras Beach Resort pa naman (if ever). mukhang ok kasi e but i guess sa pictures lang yun 

ficklemind: yes, gusto talaga namin tahimik kaya naman i excluded Boracay but I'm not sure if ma-tao or maingay (yung bars) on those months. off-peak ba yung Sept or Oct? Now that riandrew meantioned na hindi ok sa camiguin, iniisip ko Palawan naman or Bohol since yun yung marami suggestions here.

wickedbone: thanks for the suggestions. hindi kami adventurous e  gusto lang talaga namin beach. well it won't hurt if may ibang tourist spots near the area but if mahabang travel pa, wag na lang siguro. nakakapagod din kasi yun e. unfortunately, mga tamad kami, hehe 

mooncake and leaves: mahirap ba talagang puntahan? like ilang minutes yung jeep travel? how was the road kaya? ayaw ko naman maalikabukan sila. thanks in advance

thanks for all the suggestions. natuwa naman ako  keep them coming. need ko din mag-budget e so kelangan ko pa maghanap ng resorts/accommodations sa chosen getaway namin. 5 lang pala kami.

^ both palawan and ilocos require significant time of traveling. ilocos lalo kapag by land. pero from the beach naman to other tourist spots na malapit lapit, keri lang. matagal-tagal nga lang ang lakad/hike to the falls but you can skip them altogether kung ayaw niyo talaga.

palawan naman, dimakya island (cp), air travel + land travel + sea travel. overall, 3 hours ang biyahe. but from that island to coron proper, where all the lakes and tourist spots are, mahigit an hour din. but can't miss talaga. yun nga lang, mahal. you can try other islands and resorts in coron, if you want. but island hopping talaga masaya dun no matter where you stay.

but since you're asking for beach bumming as in yun lang + quality beach + easy travel, boracay talaga eh. if your only concern is the noise, low season naman yan and as long as you don't stay in station 2 or the crowded areas, keri naman talaga. station 1 is ok talaga. widest beachfront saka not as crowded. madali pa puntahan especially if you're flying to caticlan.

maganda talaga boracay, imo. hindi siya overrated. sure, touristy but that shouldn't dissuade you from going especially since low season kayo pupunta. My bet is october though. mas maganda weather. Sabagay, sa gulo na ng panahon ngayon, di mo na masabi when's the best time to go.

since excluded ang boracay. my next bet is bohol. for beach bumming stay in bohol beach club or maybe PINR. next to my list is cocogrove resort in siquijor.

mooncake and leaves: thanks! sige will consider Bora na din, maybe two beach getaway na lang. since majority here recommended Bora. So Bora and another one na lang. goodluck na lang sa budget ko 
siguro one on September and one on October.

no problem naman sa long travel when going to our destination, basta pagdating dun, dun na lang kami then maybe lakad lang along the beach and nearby areas. if an hour boat ride to another island, pwde na din siguro. bahala na lang pagdating dun.

my friend told me na madami daw beautiful  beaches along nasugbu, calatagan and lian (batangas).. mura pa!  pati daw romblon.. parang sand in boracay din.. hindi pa lang siya ganun kadevelop gaya ng boracay.. i also wanna try anawangin..
