Exercise and healthy eating talaga. Kahit hinde nga super exercise talaga but you just need to be more active. On days that i dont exercise, I make sure to walk more and to take the stairs instead of using the elevator hehe

also started my healthy lifestyle, diet and exercise.
super hilig ko din sa softdrinks, chips and rice. so I gained weight.

nagstart ako paonti-onti. like lessen soda, chips and fast food foods like burgers ,etc.
hanggang maging No soda , no chips and no junk foods.
i ate cereals with skim milk with fruits sa morning and evening.
lunch small amount of rice and veggies/chicken. removed pork in our meal plan (we switched to beef and white chicken -- breast)

until nasanay na yung body ko sa ganung diet. and now starting to have my exercise routine.
paonti onti lang din hanggang masanay ako. I started by 500 hoola hoops daily. tapos unti unting nadadagdagan like 100 per day hanggang sa kaya ko.minsan 1500 hoops na.

tapos jogging in place para kahit nasa house ka lang, pwede na. and yung squat at sit ups.

kaya natin ito mga sissies.

Decide.
Everything starts with you making a decision. It's like the first step you take in a run. I first decided to live a healthy lifestyle when I was asked to take maintenance med's for hypertension. Hell no. I looked for my old sneakers and ran one afternoon. Step 1.

Commit.
Commit to your decision. Through thick and thin, think of why you you're doing this. You cannot possibly commit to a decision if youre heart is not set on your goals. Wala man ang puso mo sa ginagawa mo for a healthy lifestyle, make sure na ang puso mo is nasa goal mo pa rin at least. Dont let the words of others deter you from reaching your goal. For me dati, I was being teased coz I ran around our area in skimpy running shorts which I was really comfortable with. Which brinngs me to:

Change.
"These changes will lead me to something really good." :) Invest on maintaining this lifestyle change, if you need to buy dri-fit clothes, do it. I love you, goodbye." ;)

My two cents. :)

^Gusto ko yan mga sinabi mo.

I've been on the heavy side far too long and I'm still young. Matagal ako nagprocrastinate with changing my lifestyle to a healthy one, dami kong excuses for so long. One day I just felt na I need to start whatever I wanted to do because walang gagawa non for me. So I started jogging around the village every morning. I stopped eating rice na din. It's been almost 2 months na pero never pa naman ako nagccrave sa rice maybe because I am really determined to change my eating habit. Lately, nag-set ako ng ultimate goal and a mini-goal para naman hindi ako mafrustrate agad pag wala ako nakita changes. Mas better yung food choices ko, more on veggies, fish and chicken. At first my husband wasn't that supportive kasi I have a health condition na pinagwoworry nya. I made "buddies" din para pag mejo nadedemotivate ako, meron magpupush saken to continue.

What works for me to begin a healthy lifestyle is: Realization that I could have a better quality of life in all aspect kung fit and healthy ako. I'm trying to stay motivated and committed to my goal by enjoying the process.

exercise atleast 10 mins a day. kapag nakapag-adjust kana, 30-45mins a day.

hydrate.

Exercise is moot point if the eating habits are poor. It's really about choosing the healthier alternatives. Diet doesnt have to be sad and boring; portion control lang and sticking to limits. That's why calorie counting works the best for me.

Health is Wealth
Ways to give your health a boost

For a longer life, here are easy ways to give your health a boost:

Eat fruits and vegetables every day.
According to the National Health Service (NHS) of the UK, “research shows that eating at least 400 grams of fruit and vegetables a day can lower your risk of serious health problems such as heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.”

Be positive.
Laugh. Think happy thoughts. Praise someone. Say “thank you.” “When you’re happy, your body releases feel-good [chemicals], which can have numerous favorable effects on the body,” says David Katz, M.D., director of the Prevention Research Center at Yale University School of Medicine, on the Prevention magazine website.

Sleep well.
It is when you sleep that your body repairs itself, so aim to get good-quality ZZZs every day. Get tips here. “If you’re not getting enough sleep, it can affect relationships and your performance at work, and it can also delay recovery from illness,” according to the NHS. Needless to say, a good night’s sleep also makes you look better and in the pink of health.

Have fun with a pet.
According to the Mayo Clinic (in the US) staff, research suggests that “pet ownership benefits health in several ways.” One is exercise derived from walking a dog (if you do not own one, offer to walk your neighbor’s dog). The staff also says, “One study found that among those who had a heart attack, dog owners were significantly more likely to be alive a year later than those without a dog.”

Drink milk in the morning.
A study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, according to Prevention magazine, says that “women who consumed a 20-ounce glass of fat-free milk in the morning, ate on average, 50 fewer calories at lunch,” leading to weight loss and, of course, stronger bones.

the goal is health right?

good health is about 70% diet. the rest is exercise and lifestyle. (for diet you can read about them just anywhere)

best to start with a trip to the doctor. get to know your state and work from there.

its also good to know your family history of diseases because they're the weakest link(s). so if your family has a history of say, diabetes, then it would probably be good to follow a starch less or sugar free diet...if you're way healthy, by doing so, imho, you will increase your organ reserve.

some people believe in the blood type diet, i've met people who've incorporated say paleo with blood type diet with good results,

detox is key for me. toxins impair our bodily functions and they can give a myriad of problems. so minimize processed foods. go for organic foods, milk and meat (yung hindi tinuturukan na baka, baboy at manok). the hormones used in milk are jeez, so many. they can cause all sorts of growth. pag bata pa kasi hindi nafefeel mga yan. but when you reach 30s 40s at may mga kung ano ano na. ayun.

go out and be with nature. fresh air can help very much. sea water has a cleansing effect. swimming in the ocean or hiking is exercise.

have deep tissue massages once in a while. it aids in circulation. good circulation aids in the body's natural healing processes.

Forget about red meats, specifically pork and beef. Go for white meats like fish and chicken. Eat lots of veggies and fruits, drink lots of water. Walk at least 30mins a day. Don't eat heavy meals at night. :) It will definitely give you a health lifestyle without having too much trouble.  ;)
