my biggest problem is discipline talaga. saka for me kasi ganito, "uy ang takaw ko today-next week na ako diet." lol, di man lang bukas eh, next week talaga. hanggang maging next month or like what happened, next year. ;D

Agree! Ganito rin ako! Best tip I could give you is to have your officemates run with you rin para kahit tamarin ka, the others will push you along and then kung sila naman yung tamad, ikaw mag-push!

yan rin, kailangan mahikayat mo rin mga kasama sa bahay at sa work ^^;

hi sisses, i really need to switch to a healthy lifestyle na.  i am currently 15 pounds overweight and im turning 30 years old this year so kailangan ko na magseryoso.    weakness ko talaga is sweets lalo na yung cakes and pastries -- mahilig pa naman akong mag-bake.  i guess i should stop baking na muna :( ... isipin ko na lang gastos lang yun so dapat tigilan ko na talaga. also, since im also working in the food industry, grabe talaga ang temptation!  the people i work with just looooves to eat. madalas ang food trip namin and nakaka-OP naman pag hindi ka sasabay kumain.  then fast food industry pa kami so andyan lang ang fries, burgers, fried chicken sa kitchen namin, begging to be eaten wahahaa!  how's that for testing your self-control?

i used to go to the gym but i stopped after 10 months because i got lazy.  gym membership is expensive and mahirap din kasi puntahan yung gym.  i "plan" to return pero siguro pag nag-open na lang yung branch na malapit sa amin para di hassle puntahan. since then, wala na talaga akong excercise.  there is no excuse for my laziness *sigh*

i will try the 21-day approach that was mentioned here.  sisimulan ko sa food & konting excercise (sabay sa dvd) or jogging.  aim small-miss small.  wish me luck!

excercise talga ang pinka magandang pampapayat. You dont need to go to the gym everyday, maglakad ka lang ng 30mins, and make sure yung mabilis na lakad ha, say pag pauwi ka na..ibis na mag tricylce eh mag lakad ka nalang, just always bring a rubber shoes, kahit naka skirt ka plus rubber shoes..kerry lang yun, pag titinginan ka ng tao kase ang baduy mu diba, pero dont orry astig naman tingin nila sau. Parang ako, i change to running shoes after work, so minsan skirt and rubber shoes, or slacks and rubber shoes, i dont care no, kase kung naka heels ka malamang hindi mu gugustuhin maglakad diba. So tendency eh sasakay ka ng tryke , jeep or worst taxi. Tapos dont drink soda kahit juice..basta tubig lang..dont eat outside..bring your own lunch.  Sa lunch naman, bili ka nung maliit na baunan para sa rice and ulam, basta yung rice mu ang pagkakasyahin sa maliit na baunan. So whether you like to eat more or not, eh konti lang dala mong rice so ala ka ng magagawa..unless mangihingi ka sa ka-officemate mu. lol.

Maraming ways, basta wag lang tamaring kumilos. Chaka ang pinaka mahirap eh ang simula pero pag nakasanayan mu na..it will be part of your system.

Exercise lang talaga

Correct! You just have to make time for it no matter what happens, avoid making excuses like: 'I'm too busy'. There are 24 hours in a day  ;D It's also important to find the kind of exercise that you will enjoy.

as the crossfitters say "eat clean, train dirty" and as the paleo dieters say, "if it has label on it, its not food."

I exercise a lot and I watch what I eat. Ok lang sa akin na sasabihin nila na payat ako at least I know that I am healthy. And I also don't smoke and I say NO to alcoholic drinks.

^ mahirap ang healthy lifestyle, in particular healthy eating habits with all the fast food and restaurants that serve yummy fried food, and sweets hehe. so self discipline lang talaga. mahirap but that's the way it is, sanayan lang. i'm also slowly training myself to eat veggies and less of carbs. also making time for exercise, kailangan na eh :)

i feel you sis. nung una in denial pa ako na hindi mabagal metabolism ko and that i feel young pa naman pero getting older and getting heavier na ako kaya eating healthy and exercising na ako.

what i do re fastfood is to eliminate one fastfood at a time. so ngayon, i stopped eating burgers na unlesss i make the patty on my own with pure lean beef saka whole wheat buns. saka iwas mcdo ako, i dont eat anything from mcdo na since january pero easy for me kasi hindi naman talaga ako mahilig sa mcdo. hehe.

Recently started jogging in UP. Nahihiya naman ako konti kasi hindi ko makumpleto yung isang round ng oval, mga 3/4 lang, pero brisk walking lang ito ha. Kung jogging, baka 1/2 lang makayanan, LOL! Jusko ako yata pinakamabagal, pati yung mga hindi mukhang fit eh nilalampasan ako, even yung mabibigat ang katawan, even a few senior citizens, so it was a wake-up call. I'm 5'4" and 118 lbs at hindi pa naman masyado halata yung chubbiness, pero napakalampa ko. I really, really have to do something about it.

1. Eat right (manner or way, amount, healthy food)
2. Exercise regularly
3. Avoid smoking and even drink liquors and other alcoholic beverages

Ako, proud ako sa sarili ko kasi never ko pang na-try yung cigarette at yung drinking alcohols parang once-twice a year lang yun every Christmas with my family & relatives. Ill never try talaga smoking kahit yung amoy ayoko na eh. I dont care kung sa iba cool kang tignan pag nagyoyosi ka, tignan lang natin kung cool ka pa rin tignan in the future. :D You'll never know kasi its side effects until you get old na.

Healthy Lifestyle:

- Eat Right- Identify which is the physical hunger and which is emotional hunger
- Exercise - Overdoing it wont help.  2 or 3 times a week is enough for a workout that you can stick with.
- Stick with the appropriate BMI - Here's a calculator that you can use: http://hypnosis4weight.net/bmicalculator.html
- Get enough sleep - 7 or 8 hours a day is enough I think
- Load tons of water - makes toxins go away and makes our skin hydrated ;)
