Gorgeousmama- i am a female surgeon and i think if you feel a lump in your breast it best to have a breast ultrasound asap to determine the nature of the mass. Ifin case itis something bad, 3 months is a long wait. Our hormones changes every month. Best to have the ultrasound done 7-10days from day 1 of menses. Just my 2 cents!

he is a plastic surgeuon, DOC JAY RECASATA, he told me the lump mybe cause of my hormonal imbalance so were still waiting for my monthly hence it's very irregular that's mybe the reason why
we will wait for 3 months and i noticed everyday it became smaller and softer

and he said it's not alarming . i mybe naive but im praying hard baka naman mawala pa doc

 I remember when my ob requested for sorry  i forgot the medical term for that the camera that will show up close whether you have a cyst in ovry

I remember I spent sleepless night cryng and worrying over that, but the ob who conducted the exam concluded that what she saw was just a minor scratches in ovary and my  ob gyne mistook it for something alarming , nothing as in , so I took the meds she prescribed and i'm glad Im okey na

scary for me to go under the knife that's why im asking other option aside from surgery

Gorgeousmama- it may be a cyst by the way you describe it just the same not because you cant palpate a breast mass then theres none. Usually its better to have your breast ultrasound done. To further examine it. Remember not because you have a breast then surgery is indicated. If this is not suspicious then surgery is not done.I suggest you follow up with a surgeon coz usually its a different specialty from the plastic surgeon and usually its the surgeon who treat and monitor breast and its diseases.

Dont get me wrong, i am not saying that your plastic surgeon is not good. Just that, better that you be seen by simeone who handle breast diseases. Hope you get my point.

Doc she how to distinguish a cyst from fats, may nakakapa kasi ko sa gilid ng breast ko pero nakakapa ko lang sya pag nakatagilid ako at nakataas ang arm ko. Once binaba ko na yung arm ko hindi ko na sya maramdaman. Hindi sya moveable parang nakadikit sya sa wall ng chest ko ( lol i cant think of a better term to describe it). Para syang naka fix lang don. Could it be fats?

Hi! Fibroadenoma are basically benign mass and no chances of ever transforming into cancer. Breast cancer is usually genetic. However, we can never tell from our distant  relatives if they really have history. I would still suggest that you get a breast ultrasound if tou are less than 40 and additional mammogram if tou are 40 years old and above. Sometimes there are non palpable masses which can only be seen n the ultrasound.

Mammogram
Med-Lat-Oblique and cranio-caudal views of both breast were obtained.
-Vari-sized nodules (some with clustered microcalcifications) seen in both breasts.
-Size of nodules ranges from 0.8 - 2.0 cm
-No architectural distortion nor asymmetry on the glandular densities on both parenchymal
-No nipple retraction. No axillary nodules seen.
IMPRESSION:
-Multiple bilateral breast nodules. UTZ is suggested.
-Birads category: 0

Breast UTZ
INTERPRETATION:
-Cluster of shadowing high level echoes measuring about 1.22 x 0.98 x 0.64 cm (LXWXAP) at 1 o"clock of left breast.
-Relatively flat heterogenous keloid on skin of right breast at 9 o"clock measuring 2.45 x 1.75 x 0.68 cm and 2.45 x 1.39 x 0.46 cm.
-The right breast parenchyma shows normal architecture. No definite mass lesion seen.
-Retromammillary areas are intact.
-No enlarged axillary lymph nodes.
IMPRESSION:
-Calcified solid mass, left breast
-Keloid, right breast

No family history of cancer
Keloid on right breast is from biopsy and lumpectomy last 2001 or 2003. --benign
No palpable mass, dimpling, and nipple retrction noted according to male surgeon.

Miss charcoal- the clustered microcalcifications in mammogram needs to be examined. A lot of data needs to be answered. Why were all the surgeries done? What were the biopsy results. Best to examine the patient and correlate with the diagnostic exams.

^Hi doc! Benign daw yung sa biopsy. May minimally invasive procedure po ba para maexamine yung nodule/mass?

Pupunta po siya sa surgeon this saturday para malaman. Yung mammogram palang kasi ang nakikita nung surgeon, di pa yung UTZ. Kaya ang suggestion po niya last time ay bubuksan daw yung breast para ibiopsy, tapos kapag nalaman daw na delikado after 30 mins, pwede daw tanggalin yung breast. Ganun po ba talaga?

Pasensya na po doc kung maraming tanong, kinakabahan lang ako para sa mom ko.

Miss charcoal- yes, there is a minimally invasive biopsy technique done to examine a breast mass if surgery is indicated which i performs for solid masses. Its called the mammotome however, not all surgeon does it since it needs training. If you have doubt, its always safe to seek another opinion for peace of mind. Keep us posted. Hoping for a good result.

^Hi Doc She. Nagpacheck up na siya at ang suggestion ng surgeon ay ibiopsy para malaman kung ano talaga.
May idea po ba kayo kung magkano at saan hospital may mammotome? May sinuggest rin yung surgeon na procedure (mammogram with biopsy -- parang ganun) pero sa high end hospital lang daw available. Parehas lang ba yung sa mammotome?

hi doc! i just found out yesterday when i did my BSE that there was a lump on my right breast, particularly in the upper inner quadrant approx. 2 fingerbreaths above the nipple. its really small and i think it was about 1 cm. its not painful or anything. i haven't had my period for this month yet. what can you say about this? to what type of md should i seek consult? what should i do? thank you.

I highly recommend Springfield breast care center in SMX near MOA. Dr. Romeo Diaz is an oncologist and breast surgeon. My mom has stage 4 breast cancer for more than 5 years na. Mabait si Dr. Diaz at hindi mukhang pera. One of my previous staff has a breast cyst na sabi ng doctor niya na tanggalin pero nung nagpacheck siya kay Dr. Diaz sabi hindi naman kailangan tanggalin. Walang masama na magpa-second opinion kayo. Breast cancer is treatable if detected early.

Both breasts show normal parenchymal echo pattern.
A 13.5 x 5.7 x 12.9 mm lymph node with intact fatty hilum is seen in the axillary region. The right axillary region is unremarkable.
The retroareolar areas of both breasts are unremarkable.
No skin changes or nipple retraction is appreciated.

Assessment: BIRADS Category 2- Benign Sonographic findings, both breasts

Gelie- better to follow u with your surgeon. Its still best to review the pictures of the ultrasound and not rely just on the report.
