hi doc, my mom underwent lumpectomy(?) last 2001 or 2003. benign naman daw. then ngayon, lagi kong napapansin na kinakamot niya yung keloid scar niya. normal pa ba yun? may symptom ba ang breast cancer na related sa surgical scar sa breast?

Miss charcoal- keloid can be itchy. However, she still needs follow up check at least once a year if the findings on her mammogram are stable.

joining po.new sa thread na ito. meron akong cyst sa right breast ko nakita siya sa ultrasound last June 2011.sabi ng doctor need to monitor daw but i wasnt able to do that kasi i got pregnant ng September 2011,gave birth at May 2012.and im breastfeeding my baby for 8 months now.medyo nakakaramdam kasi ako ng pain.i dont know if dahil sa pag papa breastfeed ko yun or baka may problem.docshe any advise po?gusto ko magpa check up?sino po ang dapat ko lapitan?kayo po saan ang clinic niyo?and schedule?tia

Lorice- pain may be due to hormones but i would suggest you get your breast ultrasound done. Usually its the surgeon who momitor breast and its diseases.

Hi doc she,i had my first breast ultrasound on nov 2011 with 0.7x0.4cm complex.then last january 2013 i repeat my US,this time lumake na sya 1.05x0.93x1.12cm complex...went to a breast surgeon and she recommend to have mammotome done...ask ko po kung kelangan na po ba talaga alisin yun at hindi na mag observe ng 6months? Thank u in advance:-)

hi doc, same question po, what if me findings na me cyst nga, does it  neeed immediate surgery?,,
agad agad bang tinatanggal through operation?

is there any option to determine if if is malignant   aside from surgery?

di ba there are cyst na di nama malignant?


my cousin has a breast implant, does it mean na she can no longer use the implant?

Wanie and gorgeous mama- usually it is best to personally examine and correlate with the ultrasound finding before coming up with a conclusion if aurgery is indeed advisable.
Regarding the breast implant, what do you mean by she can no longer use the implant? Pls explain further. Usually with breast implant, MRI of the breast is the one requested .

thanks doc she has a silicone implant in her breast what if she is operated on, so all her implants will go to waste na?

do di ba pede ang core needle to determine if it is malignant rather than surgery, and if ever me scar ba  after the surgery?

Gorgeous mama if biopsy is really indicated, she should get an operative technique from her plastic surgeon regarding the breast implant procedure. Where the implant is exactly place under or over the muscle. Yes biopsy can be done even with implants.

just notice a pea size lump sa left breast just below the n*pple
movable po siya and bilog.
sometimes po masakit siya...
3mos na po ako no mens, irregular po kasi ako.

what should I do? HELP po please T_T
my ate was diagnosed with  breast ca stage 1, went thru mastectomy and chemo
but she survived (Thank God. ^_^)

but I dont want our family to go thru this again..haist
di ko na po alam gagawin. T_T

Ilovejdy- have it checked by a surgeon for peace of mind Your sister who has breast cancer is a major risk factor.

me naman me nkapa na hard sa left breast but my surgeon suggested that we wait for 3 mos, then if he suspects something i should have an ultrsound  he will then advise me his next move,

 i'm scared sa surgery and if ever me scar ba sya doc???

  i hope core neddle will do ,, but i'm hoping false alarm like my ob gyne , she thought she saw something in my uterus, imagine the agony i went through, so dramatic ako but thank GOD mali pala sya, kahit gumastos ako okey lang at least wala
