All about Breast Cancer II

Hi po doc. My mom has just told us of her breast cancer. Onco says it's stage IV na. She's had 2 chemo sessions and so far so good naman po.

Advice naman po doc.  We are not happy with our onco.  I feel she lacks passion and discipline. Until now di pa nya tinitingnan ang breast ng mom ko.  She says she has read the charts.

Saan po ba ang clinic nyo? Magkano po inaabot ang chemo sessions sa inyo.  We really need help sa finances kaya if we can find a cheaper one mas maganda po sana.

Better if we can check your  mom and review all her results and laboratories. I can refer you to a nice medical oncologist for second opinion if you want.

Hi, Doc She. I'm worried po because I feel pain sa right breast ko. Nag start po sya last Sept. 9. Hindi ko po pinansin kasi I thought baka muscle pain lang or something. But then the pain didn't go away so I checked and I felt a lump. According sa mga nababasa ko, pag may pain it's usually benign. Tama po ba? It is the first time I felt this. I'm 34 y/o, married, no child yet. I'm really worried because my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago, she is doing fine now after the mastectomy. Stage 2 siya pero sabi ng surgeon malaki daw yung size ng cancer cell na nakuha. I think hindi pwede sa akin ang mammogram kasi super flat-chested ako, walang maiipit! hahaha...Actually, hesitant pa ako magpunta sa doctor kasi natatakot ako malaman kung ano man ito. But may I know your schedule po para po sa inyo na lang ako magko-consult.  Affiliated po ba kayo sa Medicard? Thanks in advance. =)

Hi! With your family history of breast cancer i would suggest That you have yourself examined. You would actually be needing a breast ultrasound and a mammogram done. Contrary to what people believe, the newer digital mammogram is good even for small breast, even males can have their mammogram done. And yes, men can also have breast cancer.

hello po sisses and Docshe, ako last period ko nung saturday and nung sunday napansin ko na may masakit sa nipple area ko. nakita ko para siyang pimple na parang butlig tapos parang may lalabas na nana..natatakot ako.

Lovely- have it check. It might be an infectin and you may be needing antibiotics. Go see a surgeon!

Thanks DocShe. Here's the complete result:

There are scattered fibroglandular densities. Small isodense nodularities are seen bilaterally. Vascular calcifications are evident bilaterally. No suspicious microcalcifications architectural distortion asymmetry or spiculated lesions evident. There is no skin thickening or nipple attraction. Visualized axillary regions are unremarkable.

I wonder why she needs an Ultrasound or biopsy. She had uterine cancer 5 years ago but has been ok since her hysterectomy, chemo & radiation treatment.

Valm- there are fimdings of  isodense nodularities bilaterally have to investigate if these are solod or cystic nodules.

hi docshe! i need you're help! im 34 years old from pampanga, last january nagpa breast ultrasound po ako and yung radiologist lang din po ang nagbasa nun result. sabi nya ok naman daw po. what scares me is that till now kumikirot pa din ang right breast ko sk po yung likod ko. and parang may kulani din po ako . sa mga nababasa ko po kapag kumirot na at may kulani ibig daw pong sabihin malala na ang case. please help me doc, gusto ko po magpatingin uli but dko po alam where to go. kung kaya ko po lumuwas ng manila sana po sa inyo po ako mkpagpatingin, please pm me you're number, clinic and schedule. tnx po!
