just came back last night from Dubai. sobrang bitin ng 1 week waaah! had a great time though na-miss namin puntahan ang Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, Ski Dubai and At the Top (Burj Kalifa).

Saan kayo kumuha ng visa? Sa Pinas o Dubai? Kasi sabi sa amin ng family ng husband ng pinsan ko doon na raw. Ano requirements?

If you're going as a tourist, the hotel where you're booked can sponsor and process your visa for you (for a fee, of course).

mga sis na approve ang visa namin last oct. 14 nag agency lang si hubby sabi ng agency hindi na daw kailangan ng affidavit ng support ang need lang daw copy ng oec ni hubby, marriage cert. birth cert ng bata ( i'll be with my son 2y.o) and round trip ticket. worry kasi ako since halos lahat nagsasabi need ng Affidavit of support baka ma offload kami. pwede na ba ngayon na walang AOS? sabi kasi ng agence no need na daw kung asawa o anak.

^ sis sa immigration lang natin talaga nirerequire yan AOS, siguro naman papalagpasin kana ng immigration officer kase asawa mo naman ang nagvisa sayo then yung anak mo pa kasama mo, last year vinisit visa ko din ang sister ko tapos ako yung nagsponsor sa kanya may affidavit of support naman din sya para panigurado lang pero hindi naman daw hinanap basta nung pagkabigay nya ng visa andun na kagad yung mga birth cert namin para may proof na kagad na sisters kame.

Thanks for replying. We're going there for vacation. But we are not staying at a hotel since my cousin's husband's siblings are living there so we will stay with them. The thing is they can't sponsor the 3 of us with the visa requirements since we are not relatives. Also I don't have a full time job though I have my own website and works freelance. Will an affidavit of support from my mom be good enough? I've also travelled to different countries for the past few years. We will get the visa in Dubai and will be sent here via courier. Has anyone tried this before also? Thanks!

Which is better, morning safari or night safari?

Through travel agencies lang ba talaga and tours ang sand dunes? Hindi pwede walk in?

We will be staying at Atlantis. Dami kaya tao by next week?

For me, better ang dinner safari. Especially sa weather now, ansarap ng lamig sa gabi. And sunset's nice. and it's kinda exciting to drive from the camp site back to the highway ng gabi. You may book your dinner safari through Atlantis tour desk, I'm sure they are partnering with a reputable agency. If you plan to book on your own, I want to suggest Arabian Nights. We booked with them twice and satisfied kami both times. It may appear more pricey than the usual deals you may see, but it's sulit naman. Or you may also check out the agencies that's within the same price range or higher (husband & friends booked another before, nakalimutan ko lang name now). We tried one of the cheaper ones before, and super-pangit ng experience, kaya never na kami nag-try ulit sa mura. Hehe..

Tips: book kayo sa cobone at groupon site deal much much cheaper than booking thru travel agency.

Mag hatta tour kami sa january 2 kuha lang namin AED 125. Ang desert safari sa groupon nasa AED 100. kesa bumili ng entertainer booklet. May deals din sila sa food at activities like wild wadi and hotels.

Na-approved na din visa namin last wednesday nakuha ko pink copy last friday. Tumaas visa fee last year USD 96 lang ngayon USD 136 kaya sabi ko sa hubby ko last trip na namin sa dubai hehe

^ naku sis, we tried the cheaper desert dinner safari tour sa group-buying sites before (nasa aed150 yata yung nakuha namin). And super-disappointed kami. By bus/coaster travel from Dubai to the safari area. Then tsaka isha-"shuttle" by 4x4s going to the dinner site. Sobrang bitin ang dune-bashing, kung matatawag na ngang dune-bashing yun kasi on the way to the dinner site lang, hindi sya dune-bashing area talaga. Pauwi, ganun ulit. Short 4x4 ride then coaster all the way to Dubai.

We tried that when MIL and BIL visited us. Buti husband and I had been to desert safari before (together and on separate occasions with friends) so we had some level of expectations. Nahiya kami sa MIL and BIL ko for their not-so-nice experience, so we booked another tour the following weekend, and with a reputable travel agency na talaga.

Sundo by 4x4 from wherever in Dubai (so nagpasundo kami sa flat namin. The first time we tried that agency, nagpasundo kami sa hotel where we stayed then) and yung 4x4 na ang ride all throughout the tour. The dune-bashing session was really good, super-sulit. Me sunset photo stop pa after dune-bashing. Well-paced tour. 4pax kami and di na nila kami binigyan ng kasama (6pax capacity dapat) so nasolo namin ang Land Cruiser. After dinner, hatid din pauwi by 4x4. After that tour, sabi ng BIL ko: "so that's how the desert safari should be pala. Anlayo dun sa last weekend". Haha!

Doon sa Dubai kumuha thru travel agency then pinadala dito sis. Yung overnight safari ba worth it?

^^yay. sana di kami madisappoint sa hatta tour namin. last year nakapag desert safari kami pero sa travel agency kami nagbook. this year nagbili kami activities sa group buying sites pati dinner sa sofitel downtown at food voucher sa marina bumili kami. sana maging ok ang layo pa naman ng hatta malapit nsa oman.

^ Ok din Musandam tour, lalo na now malamig na, masarap breeze while nasa boat. Then nung nag-RAK kami, we booked sa tour desk ng hotel - tour ng Fujairah, around RAK tsaka nagpunta din kami sa Dibba na nasa Oman side. Mabilis lang naman mag-cross ng border, check lang passport. Yung driver sya na din ang tour guide.

re visas sa dubai., you may ask yung mga accredited agency sa dubai.. Nagbabayad lang ako then send lang ng front page ng passport then may e-visa na within 2 weeks.. Sure approved naman

^nagtaas na rate ng uae visa alam ko nasa USD160 na eh. Try mo apply dito sa Pinas may mga agency nagprocess ng UAE visa. may natanungan ako last year sa banda ortigas hanapin ko name ng travel agency, pm ko sayo.
