- Old Gold Souk
- Abu Dhabi:  Guggenheim museum, the Yas Island Race Track, the Ferrari Theme park

Sa mga sis na taga-Dubai or bihasa na sa Dubai, can you recommend a reliable and trustworthy jewelry store sa Gold Souk? Or lahat ba yung stores dun okay mamili? How about their prices? Madalas na kasi lipad ni hubby sa Dubai and magpapabili ako for Christmas.

And any nice pang-Christmas gifts sa immediate family na maganda bilhin dun? Thanks in advance sa sasagot!

^ IMO, ok naman any store sa gold souk. Para mas kampante sya, he can go to the bigger ones.. Di ko lang maalala names now.. their price changes daily, based on world market price, and halos pare-pareho sila price per gram for the bars.

As for pasalubong, for food, I'd recommend the dates from Cafe Bateel, masarap talaga, anlayo ng lasa ng unbranded., especially yung me almond, walnut, etc sa ibabaw. For Christmas gifts, hmm, sabihin ko sana branded bags, clothes, etc kaya lang kakagaling mo lang Europe shopping. wala pa ako iba maisip for now... hehe..

@bagaholic_chewy and simplykristine08, thanks for the reco on the dates.  Try ko i-compare with the dates we always get from SIL (she and her family are based in Jeddah).

DAMAS? Is that one of the stores sa Gold Souk? Hirap pa naman sa hubby ko, typical sa mga guys na pag may pinabili ka kailangan nakalista yung tindahan, paano pumunta dun at specified pa anong item ang bibilhin. 

So mostly mga designer items and good buy dun? Wala silang mga tipong native/traditional products?

^another Jewellry store is Joy Alukkas. siguro meron din dun sa Gold Souk ng Dubai Mall.

Meron mismong Gold Souk na place sa Deira (Arabian Palengke style)

Same price naman ang Gold dahil may sinusunod sila depende sa Market price.
The thing lang when buying sa Mall vs. Gold Souk, dun pwede tumawad or may konting discount lalo na yung hindi ganun kalakihang Gold Retailers.

DAMAS, Joy Alukkas, Pure Gold - those are quite few names ng Jewellry shop ditto.

^Thanks, sis! Yup, I'm looking at the Gold Souk at Deira dun kasi yung crew hotel ng hubby ko. So any store sa Gold Souk are pretty reliable pala as in walang manloloko na fake gold. Hindi kasi marunong tumingin si hubby. I'll take note of those stores you mentioned.

I am hoping I can also get to visit sometime soon. My parents just came from there and gandang-ganda sila sa place. They were also able to visit Abu Dhabi. Init nga lang daw hehe. Is January the sale season there?

^ yes sis, January ang DSF (Dubai Shopping Festival). And, maganda ang panahon kasi winter yan dito sa Dubai.

Mga sis okay ba yung Cafe Bateel sa Burjuman Center? Or better sa Dubai Mall na lang? I asked my hubby to check the former later to see what's interesting to give as Christmas gifts to our family and friends. Yun Burjuman Mall kasi is just one metro stop away from his hotel. Or do you think better ang choices sa ibang branch nila?

^Thanks sis!  Yun din sabi ko sa hubby ko to make sure he tries everything. I checked Cafe Bateel's website and nakaka-enganyo i-try lahat ng food nila.

Hi everyone. Nearing na my departure date so Okay ba ang Premier Inn Dubai Investment Park? Has anyone tried this hotel? Ang mura kasi nya and maganda ang reviews. It's just a bit far pero may shuttle naman daw.

^Never heard of that Inn.  I checked online and it's around 30-45minutes from Dubai Mall, depende sa traffic.  May shuttle service ba ang place for you to go to the city? Kase kapag taxi baka mamahalan ka.
Siguro around 60-70aed more or less one way pa lang yan.

Although you can take taxi to the nearest metro, then travel via metro na lang to roam around the city.

Free shuttle to Metro Station and 3 malls. Yung pabalik lang siguro ang di ko sure, kasi baka may shuttle palabas at walang pabalik What do you think? Around 20K lang kasi sya for 6 days. Baka I lose more time than I save money? Yung next option ko kasi is yung Ibis Hotel Al Barsha na 26K at Ibis Mall of the Emirates na around 36K.

^ if I were you, I'd choose to spend a little more for lodging, like the one in Al Barsha kesa dun sa malayo na mas mura. At least mas accessible sa metro/bus/taxi, di ka magwo-worry pano ka uuwi especially pag medyo late na. And hindi ka dependent sa schedule ng shuttle. Sayang ang time spent for travel, IMO.

sis beach, DIP is malayo na talaga. I've seen the Premier Inn there because my brother used to work in the Dubai Investment Park. I suggest you go for the ones in Al Barsha, mas accessible and mas lively ang area. You might want to check out Citymax Hotel Al Barsha, i think they have reasonable prices, too. Walking distance din from the Mall of the Emirates.
