- Sheikh Zayed grand mosque - free lang to
- Emirates Palace Hotel - be sure naka pants ang mga guys kasi nung una kami pumasok dito di kami pinayagan naka shorts lang si hubby

Is Dubai safe for women travelers to go to? Or dapat go with a tour group?  Its just my mom and me that want to go.  Told her we will stay near the Mall of Emirates so we only go out during the day to tour.

^One of the safest countries to visit is the UAE sis.  My American colleague even told me that it's way safer here than in the US.

Hi Girls pasali. I was in Dubai last November 2012 we stayed for four days.  I thought it was fine although 5 days would have been better as I didnt really have time to go around the malls properly and we didnt see atlantis at day time. This was our itinerary:

Day 1: Arrived very early am. Went to an outlet store somewhere but it was a disappointment. Didn't buy anything. Went to the gold souks and the old town in the afternoon.

Day 2: Brunch at Burj Al Arab. You can't go inside this hotel unless you're staying there or dining at their restaurants. Brunch was around €80. We went to Mall of Emirates afterwards.

Day 3: Day trip to Abu Dhabi, we went to the grand mosque, had picture taking at the ferrari world and then sa emirates palace hotel na bawal nga ang shorts. hubby wasn't able to go in. We took the bus from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. The bus was very cheap and 2 hours na byahe.  You could take private vans, quicker and its not that expensive but my friends didn't recommend it because they drive really fast and they said most of the highway accidents involve those vans.

To get on the bus, there's a separate queue for women and women are the priority so swerte ang mga lalaki na me kasamang babae kase pinauuna ang mga babae at ang kasama nila. We have friends in Abu Dhabi so they drove us around.

We went to atlantis when we got back to Dubai. We didnt really see much except for the mall.

Day 4: Went up to Burj Khalifa. Had lunch at Dubai Mall (?) the mall beside Burj Khalifa - love this mall.  Had safari tour after - we were picked up at our hotel at 3pm.  I thought this tour was very long. Included here is the sand dunes pajero ride and then dinner in a made-up area in the desert plus entertainment which wasnt very entertaining at all! magician and belly dancing! i would have preferred to go shopping than that. I was expecting a sort of cultural entertainment but it wasnt. We got back at the hotel around 11pm. Loads of idle time in that tour. It also got cold at night time which we forgot to take into consideration so I was really cold! I was wearing a sleeveless dress.

Day 5: Very early flight

I thought taxis are very cheap in Dubai. We were riding taxis all the time which we normally don't do when we travel. We normally take public transport but there were 8 of us in Dubai and it was cheaper to get two taxis rather than taking the MRT.  I thought Dubai is good for shopping (gathered from people) but I find it expensive (I'm not into gold if gold is cheap. My mother in law got a diamond ring which is very good value). I was thinking of buying a bag but realised it's cheaper here in Dublin. I didn't buy anything in Dubai.  I only got a perfume from Dubai duty free pero mas mura pala dito.

I thought it was safe too! madaming pinoy so madali magtanong-tanong.   The highways reminded me of the U.S. ang daming lanes.

Hi. Honeymoon namin ni H2B will be in Dubai.. hehe. Plan namin was Hawaii but then may piso fare sa Cebu Pacific, so I booked that instead. 25K lang for both of us. We will be there from Feb 19 (pero arrival is 940pm na) and then we leave ng Feb 25 (1110pm flight).

By the way, I only paid for 1 meal instead of 2 meals sa Cebu Pac kasi naman 500 each ang meal and 1/2 rice lang daw with ulam. Pwede naman magdala ng Jollibee inside the aircraft? Or masyado bang no-no?

Sooo excited. Got a lot of ideas from this thread. Anyone have suggestions on hotel? We don't want to spend so much... pero worth it ba mag-Atlantis for one day lang? Or okay na dun for day trip? Pwede naman pumasok kahit hindi naka-check in? Also, recomm please of hotel na pinaka-okay for tourists? Both of us are first-timers pala sa Dubai?

Yung Ferrari buong araw ba yun sa Abu Dhabi? Better ba if we stay one night in Abu Dhabi or okay na day trip dun? TIA.

^ we stayed in Holiday Inn before and it was ok though may Premier Inn ata near the malls. I think ok naman to bring food sa plane, I remember before alanganin flight namin from Korea may dala kaming fast food.

Nag day trip lang kami to Atlantis and had lunch at the restaurant. We also had lunch at Burj Al Arab and I think Sofitel is better but nice to experience both Abu Dhabi, pwede ng day trip as it's only an hour away from Dubai.

beach we stayed in four points by sheraton sa Sheikh Zayed Road. It was a very nice hotel and if ever umiinom kayo okay ito kase they serve alcohol. they have a bar and pool sa rooftop, sarap tumambay. modern ang hotel and i like their king size bed. for our last night, namali kase ang booking namin ng date, we stayed at Number One Tower Suites. Okay din naman pero mas luma sya kaysa sa sheraton.  Both hotels may pinoy (although sobrang dami ng pinoy dun baka lahat ng hotel may pinoy) so okay para magtanong-tanong nga mga pupuntahan.  Okay ang mga hotels sa Sheikh Zayed Road, main road ata ito kase nandito ang metro, pero taxi nga mura lang din.

Okay naman magdala ng food sa plane kaso you need to eat agad dahil lalamig. please share your experience with cebu pacific, kase 8 hours ang flight and parang super long-haul for cebu pac. i suppose they have bigger planes. pero sobrang mura ang fare na nakuha mo.

Ferrari, adventure park ata sya so you might want to stay for one day kung magbabayad kayo. kami dumaan lang sa race track, mga 10 minutes lang kami. okay na nga daytrip sa abu dhabi if you wont stay long sa ferrari park.
