Anyone here tried Singapore-Malaysia by bus/train?

~yufa~: as ficklemind said, you don't need to apply for a visa for Malaysia if you are holding a Philippine passport. The Corus Hotel is very near the Petronas Towers. It's just 5 minutes walk away.

According to a friend based in Singapore, it is safer to take the bus.

But when I was with my mom, we took the bus. Around 6hrs  yata. The bus is nice, spacious yung seat mo. You can recline pa para makahiga ka totally. And we didn't experience hassle or whatever. Saglit na saglit nagstopover for passport checking/stamping and stuff.

may visa ba ppasok sa KL?and anong maganda sakyan papunta sa KL galing SG?yung mura lang po kasi babalik din kame to SG for our flight back to MNL

I've tried both the bus&train when BF and I went to MY/SG last october:

Bus:
-Via Nice around 1,500 php lang
-trip is around 4-5 hours
-free snack & drinks
-V. comfy parang nasa Airplane lang!
-faster sa immigration points 

Train
-Around the same price ng bus (we chose the sleeper type,yung may bunk beds)
-trip is 8 hours
-we spent more than an hour at the immigrations office 
-not as comfy as the bus ride
-A bit confusing coz' the announcements are in bahasa/chinese and the english translation is not that good..But still worth it - kasi you'll really have a chance of meeting the locals and other backpackers if you're the extrovert type

me, i tried riding the bus going back to KL. very comfy nga talaga ang bus nila with free 1 bottle of water and oreo biscuit... maganda yun daan nila kaya mabilis at di masakit sa katawan ang 4hrs trip. mas cheaper pa instead of plane riding air asia yun nga lang mas mabilis pa din yun travel time pag plane. i forgot kung ano yun bus pero around 75 ringgit ata un fare.

sis yung  Nice Bus 1,500 pesos roundtrip na ba yun? i can't decide kasi kung by plane or bus going to K.L eh.  almost same kasi yung price sa tiger airways ng roundtrip to sg-kl.

sis, i remember na first coach express bus yun sinakyan ko... i suggest kung time crunch talaga, better na magplane ka para mabilis...

Share ko lang...finally i was able to try na.  Thanks sa inyo mga sis! i went to malaysia through aeroline. I went to vivo city to buy tickets. Its cheaper by S$10 than the ones on their website. Left SG 8AM arrived MY 1PM then left MY 6:45PM arrived around 12AM the following day. I opted to choose the day trip since I only wanted to see Petronas and KL Tower. Saya ng byahe actually di ko namalayan 5 hours kasi nakatulog naman ako ng mahimbing. It's like travelling on a business class of airplanes. Lazy Boy ang upuan and the food is OK naman. They'll give you blankets kung nilalamig ka pa hehe...

The good thing pa about aeroline is that 5 min walk lang ang Petronas so di ka mamomroblema na mapalayo ka masyado lalo na ako since i travelled to MY alone. The thing is, I am not sure kung ganun pa rin as of now. Kasi on my way back to SG, they let us sign a petition na wag i-move yung terminal nila effective March 1, 2011  sa isang place sa MY which as the "stewardess" said is like 30KM from there.

hi mga sis! i was supposed to try sing-kl bus or train but it turned out more expensive than taking the plane.  kaya nag tiger airways ako to KL (P800) then pabalik ng sing, air asia (P900). o diba ang mura? abang lang kayo ng promo sa dalawang airline na yun.

ang Bus kasi until midnight ang last trip going to KL, comfy nman siya. medyo hassle [textspeak!] pg dumating kayo sa immigration.

as per train nman, super luma na talaga. haven't tried it though.

don't forget to bring your return ticket to Philippines, yung hubby ko kasi nakalimutan nya, then this Malaysian immigration officer asked for 50 ringgit just to let my hubby pass
