I really want my child to go to a foreign school (college level) pero probably asian univesities like National University of Hongkong or National University of Singapore, para malapit lang.Anyways, these universities belong to the top 20 world ranking for universities.  Now, if we can influence him to take up culinary pa, going to foreign trainings would be mandatory.

^^ super true. I was also educated both in europe and the US. although i did well in school, but because of my personality (timid, shy) I wasn't able to get in multinat'l companies. My sister, on the other hand, was also educated in the US and when she came back to the Phil, the few companies she applied to all wanted to hire her. My brother naman who didn't study abroad, have been pirated by different multinational companies abroad.

It's a plus factor if you're educated abroad and come back to work in the Phil, but at the end of the day, you also need to have your own diskarte talaga.

For me, it's nice to study abroad for experience-sake. At 18, I was in a foreign country without any relatives or friends.

If I have the chance, i would also like to send my kids to study abroad pero post graduate na para mas mature na sila and mas serious na sa buhay. Feeling ko talaga sa case ko, sobrang nasayang money ng dad ko, wala man lang akong return of investment sa kanya. I met my husband while studying abroad and now I ended up a homemaker. I wasn't able to utilize my education abroad.

^^ I guess may advantage kung fresh grad ka. Mas mataas ang leverage mo kasi educated ka overseas. Though yung iba naman, iniisip nila training ground lang sila and hindi ka mapapagawa ng admin work kasi educated ka overseas.

Case to case basis.. kung ano ba talaga objective mo. Pero kung para magwork lang rin dito, hindi na siguro.

Agree, baka pag masters and medyo firmed up na ang career mas practical pa. To me what matters most is how you do things, how you carry yourself, your vision in life, and everything will follow pero yun nga kanya kanya lang yan..

Gusto ko kasi para sana they could see the world in a different perspective. Kung nasa Pinas lang kasi baka akala nila ganun rin sa iba... gusto ko sana ma-experience nila yun ibang cultures, climates, makakilala ng may ibang religions...
