Blood is Thicker Than Water?
« on: November 19, 2010, 06:05:15 pm »
Hi everyone!

Di ba dapat blood is thicker than water? bakit kaya may ibang kamag-anak tayo na mas kinakampihan pa yung mga kaibigan nila sabay ide-deny?

in your opinion/experience, kelan dapat kampihan ng kamag-anak yung iba? kasalanan ba if kampihan ng kamag-anak mo yung iba kesa sa yo? dapat ba sumama yung loob mo if ganun nangyari?

grabe noh. worst talaga for me yung kampihan ng sarili mong kamag-anak yung ibang tao. sana hindi mangyari sa kanya yun.

Not necessarily. Unless kamag anak really favored the friend whatever the situation is.

Same here.

Naku! I agree na dapat hindi blood is thicker than water!

I strive to be on the valid/correct side.    But relatives are relatives,  and since I am stuck with them... kapag sila ang on the wrong side, I do not rub it in, I do not help the other side ibaon sila lalo -- I try to find a solution for my kamag-anak.  BUT of course, I do not perpetuate/encourage whatever pagkamamali is going on; do not be an "enabler" as they say.

Generally, people are not open to being criticized/corrected while "the drama" is ongoing.  So, it is more practical to keep one's wisdom to one's self, unless asked.   Specially with relatives!   1 lang banatan mo, hay naku, before you can blink twice....  sangkaterban na tingin sa yo as a  traitor, walang malasakit, asal hindi kamag-anak, etc etc etc...   lol

kahit naman ata sino sasama ang loob, pero depends on the situation pero it is better to know both sides stories before you pin point your fingers

ang issue kase namin is that mas may panahon syang makinig sa side nung isa kesa intindihin ako. kesyo nahihiya sya dahil ibang tao yun. ang dating sa akin, mas kinampihan nya kagad yung isa without hearing my side of story. kampi na yun di ba?

anyhow, we found out na may ganito pala talagang pamilya. mas importante sa kanila ang sasabihin ng ibang tao kesa sa mararamdaman ng kapamilya nila. mabilis lang din naman ang karma. yun lang.

this applies only to my immediate family...parents and sibs no one else. the relatives may halo dugo na yun so i would'nt care less for some of them. but i do have a heart for my relatives sa father side yun mababait kasi and i know they sincerely care.

but i got good beating out of this when i was a kid and my mom tagged those words so clear that i will never forget what 'blood is thicker than water' meant to us as a family. kulang nalang itattoo sa noo ko those words.  whatever happens loyalty lies among us and to never allow any outsider to besmirch the family.
