We held my twins second bday last January 25, 2015 at Molave -Yakal function rooms of Dusit Thani Hotel at Makati City. Motif was Sofia the first and Prince James. Here are my list of suppliers and their ratings and Peso Power:

PINK N Peach - PHP 19,500

I tried to contact some other party planners but since i had only 2 months preparation mostly were booked already. Aileen was one of those who replied fast. But since she is working now medyo nataranta ako sa mga days na hindi siya nagrereply. Everyone knows December is a busy month plus we travelled to Japan pa prior to the party maybe thats why she was busy too. So rating for her is (7.5/10) when it comes to communication. But in fairness, nung hindi na ako nangungulit, siya naman ang nagtetext or viber:)

Anyway, on the day itself she was there to check on her crew even if she mentioned to me before na wala siya. They started ON TIME which is very important to me. It is stated on our contract we need at least 4 hours for ingress but due to Dusit, we were just given 2 hours. Happy ako sa decor and madami din naman nagandahan. She also gave gifts sa twins which i truly appreciate. Everything went smoothly with her on that day. So i guess what i read sa blog before na paninira sa kanya isn't true because first hand experience for me was stress free ( yung day itself ha). i also specifically mentioned na ayoko yung isang sofia na standee ang gusto ko ay si sofia na pacute and yun din naman ang dumating. I also think na sumobra pa nga yung balloons kasi pahaba ang venue. 5 swags lang nasa contract pero sa set up 7 swags. So for her i'll give (10/10) sa venue set up. Masaya naman ako kasi for the price sulit naman and hindi tipid.

Party Monster (Ms. jackie Pituk) - PHP 15,500

I learned about Party Monster thru facebook.  Just like any other party planner may package din sila mas mura nga lang. I got her originally as back up kasi simultaneous yung party. 4pm for my twins then 7 pm for my inlaws. The services i got from her are the ff: 2 tier cake, photobooth, bubble show, facepainting and candy buffet. nagpacustomize ako ng package. We met in person once and she was nice naman bata pa. Few days before the event unfortunately someone from her family passed away and nagkataon sa party ng twins and araw ng libing so she apologized she couldnt handle personally my event pero she handled it well friend niya nalang ang nagorganize. (8/10)


Photo and video -PHP 7,000

Got them thru party monsters din mura so i tried ok naman during the party medyo feeling ko lang hindi nila forte ang small kids. Wala pa output so i will have to wait before i rate them.

Sofia d first mascot - (facebook) PHP 3,500

Dito ako kinabahan baka mag NO SHOW kasi sa facebook ko lang nakita then i paid thru bank account na pero in fairness on time naman si talent. Tuwang tuwa ang kids kay sofia priceless ang happiness sa face ng mga anak ko kaya pati daddy nila saka all other girls super happy and excited.

Bumpy the Magician c/o PINK n Peach - PHP 11,500

His rate is lower if hired thru a PP saka nagincrease na siya for 2015 kaya yung what we paid for is his rate for 2014 since we paid him in advance. He was funny and witty kahit mga yaya napapatawa niya. Even adults and my OB find him funny. Never a dull moment. Fluent din in english and Filipino. I guess he adjusts well sa crowd. He also worked sa batibot kaya sanay sa kids. As for the magic tricks sorry hindi na ako  nagfocus kasi yuna ng time na kumain na kami ni hubby. (9/10) 

Caterer: Dusit Hotel - PHP (80k)

Nakakabusog naman daw sabi ng guest. Food lang kanila since may event din kami sa main ballroom nila. That's for 60 kids (plated) and 30 adult buffet. Maasikaso ang waiters.

sharing my LO's first birthday story with you sissies,

party planner: sweetheart balloons

everything was stress free because of them. easy to deal with din yung owner. i've been dealing with the owner since day one which i think is good. kasi ma aassure ka talaga na everything would go according to what you want. sila na nag hire ng food carts, party host and magician and side entertainments. all were good. siguro naging problem lang is sa sobrang siksik ng programs namin, ang daming prizes na natira since konting time lang yung na alot for games and nahirapan din sila icontrol yun kids/guests during distribution ng lootbags, since big event yun samin and ang dami talagang nag aagawan sa lootbags. understandable naman. nothing major problem happened. they made sure the party was well attended all throughout.

caterer/venue: century park seafood restaurant
no complaints at all. suki na kami dito. our wedding was also held here. though the waiters told me nabigla daw sila since first time nila mag handle ng malaking event just for a kiddie party. but they handled it well naman.

party host/magician: chayno and rodel the magician
both are good. chayno is very funny as well. rodel naman though old/common tricks parin, he was still able to capture the interests of the kids. very entertaining. i booked them thru our party planner as well.

photobooth: photoreffic
ok naman overall. quality is good. we got the magnetic type, hindi lang masyado nakadikit yun pictures sa magnets kay yun edges nung pictures minsan nafofold. but aside from that ok naman.

food carts: generic fries, corndog, FIC
i was not able to try any of our foodcarts haha. super busy kasi entertaining the guests and pag daan ko laging mahaba yung pila. i booked them via our party planner as well.

i booked this personally. i got to try his fishballs sa birthday ng nephew ko. and it was good! medyo alangan our party planner to get fishballs kasi maamoy daw. but wala namang unwanted smell yung kay mang alex. siya ata yung unang food cart na naubos.

Thank You Lord at nakaros na ang 1st birthday party ni Sofia yesterday. Everyone had a blast! Ang saya ng party! 

Venue: greenhills west clubhouse

Theme: Sofia the First

Decor: kidstarkastles - i got them for the second time. Super ganda n decors as usual and i never had any problems dealing with imma and her staff. Super mabait, magaling and maasikaso sila.

Caterer: hizon's - i got them for the second time din. Yummy food and excellent service as usual. Mabait, masipag and super maasikaso mga staff lalo na ng account executive. I never had any problems with them. Ang sipag ng waiters umikot to refill our drinks and inaasikaso talaga nila mga guests.

Host/magician: Alex Lagula- i've heard so many good feedbacks about him and they were all right. Super galing niya and mabait pa. Captured na lahat ng attention ng kids and adults.

Second entertainer: tectonix- super aliw lahat ng guests dito. Ang galing nila.

Cake and cupcakes: Sheilas Kuchen- suki na ako kay sheila. Ganda ng cake and cupcakes as usual. I got the red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and buttecream icing. Sarap!

Food carts:

Prizes: i bought 120 pcs of toys from lucky chinatown annex. Ubos lahat and super enjoy mga kids.

Lootbags: i bought Sofia the first and Cars drawstring bags from lcm annex and i put puzzles, yanyan, hello panda, twix chocolate, bread pan, jellyace, and marshmallow inside

Photographer: Jed Uy and Shuttercount- both are mabait and masipag naman. Will wait for the output though.

We love the photos. Masipag sila kumuha. Mabait si Benj. Mabilis din nilang naibigay at naipost ang output. However, pagdating sa video, it took them almost three months to deliver.

The backdrop was really nice. Looks expensive also. However, they were very late. As in! The party started at 2pm, and they arrived at 2pm also. Buti na lang the place was fully decorated already so Hindi masyadong halatang May Kulang pa.

Rating: 6/10

I was not impressed. The cake that arrived was not the one I finally pegged. The cake pops and sugar cookies were not carefully made. I expected more candy choices but saw only 3 or 4 apothecary jars. Walang swirly lollies Pero it was included in the contract. And the decor was not what I expected. I felt like sana I just diy'ed it.

Food carts: flavored fries and corn dog from Precious Party Needs
Peso power: 2,600 (availed thru Groupon) for both. 100 servings each.
Rating: 7/10

Okay naman. They arrived early and the corn dog was a hit. Kaya lang sa fries, they forgot the flavors! Kaya catsup lang and salt. Ubos pa rin naman kaya lang that's not what was agreed upon and paid for.

Sorbetes: Kuya Marlon from Marikina
Peso power: 2,500 for three flavors (mango, avocado and cookies and cream)
Rating: 10/10

This was a hit! Super sarap daw! Haha Hindi ko na natikman sa Sobrang ka-busy-han ko. Pero mabait kausap si Kuya Marlon. I highly recommend him and will definitely get his sorbetes again in the future!

Photobooth: Purple Bunny

Rating: 10/10

This was the 2nd time we had them. Mura kasi, okay ang service at maganda ang output. I always recommend them sa mga friends kong nagtatanong about photobooth.

Ven was my wedding couturier. We love each other that's why she made my baby a wonderful gown for her bday as a gift. She's the best!

Received this also as a gift from my SM friends! The overall look and quality is nice. Hindi mainit Pero elegant.

Souvenirs: candy dispenser from Divilandia

Mahirap maghanap ng murang candy dispenser. Online is around P145.00 each. Most of divi stores naman P70-100 each. Matyaga lang Talaga ako at nakahanap ng tig-50. Yun nga lang, mostly black yung colors. Buti na lang mas madaming boys kesa sa girls. Yung adults nang-aarbor din! Hehe!

What can I say, divi is heaven! For swirly lollies naman, I got them from SM para sure ako sa quality and cleanliness.

^ay hindi ba maview sis? Sayang naman. Super happy ako sa party sis kasi ang ganda and masaya lahat ng guests. Yung infinitea sis bale i ordered caramel milk tea, okinawa milk tea, wintermelon milk tea and peAch fruit tea. For adults and kids siya sis.

Super late post but i'll post anyway Medyo mahaba lang so bear with me pls.

My daughters' 7th And 6th was held last Januar. Ok naman, it went well except for the super late set up of Queensland, our caterer. Party was at 1pm, serving time as per contract was at 2pm.  They (again, as per contract) asked for at least 4 hours for ingress. So dapat latest 10am, right? Well, dumating lang naman sila before 12!  Ang super kastress pa dun was because my AE wasn't replying to my texts and calls till around 11. Buti I got hold of the owner's number and Nakausap ko the owner mismo.  Gosh. I really thought they forgot my party and super naiiyak na kO. I was scammed before and I thought, here we go again.  Buti na nga lang sumagot finally si AE after 2 hours of.contacting her (after ko makausap yung owner).  Turned out may Kasabay kaming party and inuna yung isa Or something. Anyway, so finally dumating sila around 11:45. Di ko na masyado pinagalitan waiters coz I wanted them to concentrate on setting up. and grabe naman sila sa.double time. So dumating mga guests nagseset up pa sila but buti na lang, natapos sila arnd 2:30 in time lang for eating time.

Ewan ko ba what happened to them that time. The head waiter blamed the dispatcher. Been getting them for more than 2 years na sa mga 4-5 occassions and ngayon lang sila nagkaganyan.

Food was ok though may nega feedback sa lasagna - undercooked daw yung pasta though the part na nakain naman namin ng hubby ko was ok.

Entertainer,  I got Wizzo and Just Kiddos. They both did a good job. Kuddos to Just Kiddos kasi super sulit.

Venue styling styling, newbie kinuha ko. Ok naman though medyo underwhelmed ako.

^ sis how's the food and service ng queensland after they setup? ok ba? wala naman issues like nag uwi sila ng food ganon? still have second thoughts of getting them but nung birthday kasi ng pamangkin ko sila kinuha ng cousin ko ok naman sila.. thanks! btw, congrats natapos na party mo.. do you have pics?

Ok naman set up, sis. Food for.me was ok except that comment about the pasta from 3 guests. And wala naman nag uwi. In fact, lagi sobra food nila (except for one time na.sobra naman kasi guests ko). Yun lang talagang sobrang late sila dumating ang issue ko. Emailed them abt my frustration abt it but of course, no reply.

Ok sis thanks for the feedback.. hopefully ok sila sa party ng daughter ko pag kinuha ko sila. Hehe yun lang di pa sila nag reply sa email mo.. i suggest derecho kana sa may ari sis para kahit papaano mapag sabihan sila. ako pala san pedro pa ko sana hindi din sila ma-late and makapag set up sila ng maaga although matagal pa naman ang birthday ng daughter ko sa june pa. Hehe
