^thanks Grayce!

Thanks a lot!

me :)

for a first time mom like me, yes it was VERY useful. it also tackles basic stuff about breastfeeding which i really liked. if not because of the breastfeeding seminars and antenatal programme me and hubby attended during my pregnancy, i don't know how ill be able to survive after i gave birth specially without any house help or anyone to help me with my confinement.

try attending thomson medical's antenatal programme, the one by lactation consultant wong boh boi. i met her in one of the breastfeeding seminars and okay cya magexplain, and hindi ka aantukin ;D okay rin to attend those seminars conducted by abott, young parents magazine and the likes. you pay like about $15-$20 for 2 pax na cya inclusive of high tea buffet and minsan sa freebies palang, bawing bawl na.

^ thanks so much for this! super helpful! :D   ideally, how far into your pregnancy should you be attending the course?  yung alam ko lang so far ay yung sa NUH.  8 sessions for SGD 180 (for NUH patients) or SGD 50 ang individual class by session.  will canvass other hospitals at yung mga seminars from abott, etc. as well.

my mom will be here when i give birth.  pero after about a month or so, we'll be on our own so we really need to attend this programme. :)

^i started attending during my 2nd trimester upto early 3rd trimester ng pregnancy ko. the antenatal classes are usually once a week so more or less 2mos ang entire course. other hospitals like raffles hospital, KKH meron rin but the one i heard na super ok is at thomson medical because of mrs wong boh boi. she's an author of thomson medical's breastfeeding book if I'm not mistaken, basta may book cya.

i attended mt. alvernia's antenatal classes by the way. okay rin naman cya but nagkakatalo sa lactation consultant na nagcoconduct ng classes. it tackles every basic stuff about pregnancy, baby, life with baby, breastfeeding mga ganun. even from the food you should eat, weight gain, popular beliefs and hearsays lalo na sa confinement period they discuss it.

price range ng mga antenatal classes ranges around $200. cheapest if I'm not mistaken is KKH's but I'm not familiar with their classes tho since sa mt. A ako nakaattend. check mo rin Gleneagles, I remember they had a parenting workshop rin ata a few months ago baka magkaroon ulit. Another thing that's nice about attending these workshops rin pala is yung mga deals nila with stemcord and cordlife just incase you decide to opt for cord blood banking :)

make sure pala to book early lalo na if you're keen on attending TMC's class kasi mabilis sila mapuno. eto nangyari sakin kaya i ended up with mt. A. you can inquire naman if may slots pa. the schedule for their classes should be posted on their website :)

Hi sis! Saang area kayo nakatira? Mas ok sana kung sa mas malapit sa inyo ang school ng baby mo. Sa Julia Gabriel (sa Orchard Road ito) ko pinasok ang anak ko nung 18months old sya until this term. He's turning 3 in a few days :) Twice a week ang class. Per day, 2 hours. Playclub ang sinalihan nya wherein the kids in the class are from 18months to 3yrs old. 6:1 ang ration ng students and teacher.

So, next year, he'll be joining Cambridge Childcare at Serangoon. N2 na sya doon. From 7:30am to 1pm iyan pero 2 hours lang talaga ang academics and the rest are play, nap, outdoor activities..
