Grace, yup same lang ang procedure ng application for foreigner and PR. You can process the maid's papers yourself to save some money. Ang kailangan lang dumaan sa agency is the contract/OWWA/OEC pero you may only process this in the event na magbabakasyon kayo sa pinas with the maid or kung si maid uuwi for vacation. Otherwise, ok lang kahit wag muna ito. Kakakuha lang namin nyan kasi umuwi kami last January pero si yaya 1 yr na sa amin. It was $280 sa Asia Employment Agency sa LP 3rd flr.

^thanks for the info sis, sinabi ko na kay hubby. we might plan to get a maid kasi in the future. and so far d kami umaasa kasi na maapprove PR namin if ever magapply kami sa higpit ba naman ng ICA ngayon

^maapprove kayo kasi chinese na chinese kayo pramis maaapprove kayo.. apply ka na! kelan nyo ba balak mag apply ng PR? si baby mo do not forget to apply his passport pagka panganak mo ha.. dependent pass si baby?

@emchie - kung gusto mo catered, another option aside from condo function rooms are chalet. May mga na-attendan na din akong kiddie parties na sa chalet (madami located sa east coast, downtown east, so on...)  ginawa, other venue available kasi- masyadong pricey ang rental (IMO ko lang)

@MauiGS - Salamat po. We considered din [textspeak!] chalet, kaso [textspeak!] asawa ko prefer nya ang A/C [textspeak!] room dahil malilikot ang mga kids at pawisin. Me nakita po akong room [textspeak!] 'Grassrootsclub' sa AMK, kaso inde na available [textspeak!] date namin. Sana po marami pang mg-share ng venue. Salamat po ulit.

^yes DP rin cya. buti nalang pwede kahit walang personal appearance sa embassy si baby, si hubby na bahala magasikaso if ever ng passport nya nakupo regarding PR, yung isang auntie ko na 3 boys ang anak, denied ang PR application considering na sinasabi nila na mas malakas ang chance maapprove pag lalaki ang anak (due to chinese culture & pampadami daw ng lahi). mahigpit talaga sila ngayon  after elections kami magapply ng PR if ever man.

@yapeegurl - onga sis! maganda talaga siya kasi me indoor playpen/house na for the kids. Wrong timing lang talaga [textspeak!] timing-slot na avail nila.  Nga pala mukhang mas mura [textspeak!] 'Asia Employment Agency' 280Sgd. Dyan ko na rin i-process ang OWWA ng maid ko. Salamat sa info. Naka-punta na ko sa Normanton kaso sis ang layo ko talaga dun... taga-Sengkang kami. If maka-hanap ako ng ibang venue i'll share it here. Salamat!

Open house kasi sila ngayon until 28-feb 1.4k for 3 months. not bad parang nag yaya din.
Nagiisip ako na i register c baby kapag 1 yr old na sya.

12hrs daw si baby sa school.

makatarungan naba ang price nito or mahal pa rin?

mga sis, help nyo naman ako. im here sa 'pinas right now waiting to deliver my baby. by june ill go back there na with the baby and yaya. ive been checking pinoysg how to process the yaya myself and wala akong making concrete na procedure.

if its not too much can someone help me out sa steps? hubby and i are both PR na for 4 years and yung yaya na gusto ko sana dalhin is hindi kamag anak but someone na taga dito lang sa amin sa pampanga.

some says i can process on my own, some says i can pay an agency. well i will be here so im not sure how i can process it on my own, though nasa sg naman si hubby.

^ ive read that sis. But what is the "procedure" itself mentioned ni pia?

Process the maid's myself meaning what? Submit an application sa MoM (like what ive heard) buy an insurance for her sa ntuc then ? Pwede ko na ba siya isabay sa pagpunta ko as a tourist? But i heard madami ang nadedeny sa immigration so looks like i have to register the contract na sa poea just to be sure?

I guess through an agency i can just ask yung agency mentioned ni pia but it would be nice to hear sa mga nakapag process na ng maid to enlighten me more.

^la ba procedure sa MOM website? you might want to check or tignan mo sa pinoysg sis kung meron tips dun. parang meron ako nakita before but d ko na binasa thoroughly as hubby & i decided not to get a nanny na rin kasi. speaking of tourist, my friend who just got here is with a yaya since kasama nya 9mos old baby nya, as long as you can show them na tourist ka lang naman talaga mukhang palulusutin ka naman siguro.

^ actually meron sis, kakakita ko lang din, in some ways may idea na din naman ako. mas OK lang yung may clear na experience. :-)


yung friends mo ba tourist din or yung yaya lang. kami kasi ni hubby PR di ba ang working there so naisip ko lang na parang halata yata na may kasama kaming isang tourist na di namin ka ano-ano na possible na maging yaya talaga ni baby.
