Longest time na Nabakante Kayo from Work?

6 months- that was after graduation so I didn't find it that much big of a deal 'cause I wanted to make the most of my vacation back then.

I resigned from my first job last September and I got hired just yesterday so I had an unemployment gap of 4 months. It wasn't a nice feeling, I tell you, but I still believe that I made the right decision to leave.

what did you do to make the most our of your vacation/bum time?

Para kahit walang income, may pagkakakitaan.
Or kahit walang job, ay maging productive pa rin.

Ako mga Sis 6 months pa lang naman.  But right now I feel the boredom na.  I'll be back to work but not corporate na.  I have a friend who is doing good now in Megaworld.  Mag Sales Manager or Property Consultant ako.  Entreprenuerial and high paying.

1 year and two months kasi nag-board exam pa ako and nahirapan ako maghanap ng trabaho ko kasi gusto ko electrical engg work e konti lang pwede ko apply-an since gusto ko Baguio-based. Ang tagal pa ng processing nila ng application kaya yung in-applyan ko around November 2009 e June 2010 na ako tinawagan to say I got the job. Haaay!!!

more than 2 years na and counting may inoffer pa sa akin na job dati, half-day lang everyday para magaan for me pero i had to turn it down because i realized na di ko talaga kaya iwanan si baby sa yaya lang...i thought pwede na ako magback to work once mag-school si baby kaso eto preggy again

5 months. I stopped working to shift careers by studying again. I didn't like working in the field of HR, I wanted to be a fashion designer. I took up short courses here and there so I could have good credentials to find a fashion-related job.

i don't usually take a long break in between jobs. pero bago ako mag-work...3 months din akong naghanap ng work after college.

4 months. nagresign kasi ako because of heartbreak. haha. so immature that time

Matagal na ang 2 months saken..even during recetion time dito sa dubai..natanggal ako sa work and it only took me 17 days to find a job..swerte ako sa paghahanap ng work. Salamat sa Diyos.

but after that. 1 day lang pagitan. pero ngayon najobless ako. 1 week na.
last week lang ako nawalan ng work because di kami nagkasundo ng employer ko. i left my high-paying job for that one sabay nagkalokohan lang sa pinagusapang sweldo.

Lately, I feel lost. feeling ko i made the wrong decision of leaving my previous work. I wasn't happy there but at least i have money. now, parehas... walang work. walang money. kakalungkot lang.

5 months after I followed my husband dito sa abroad. grabe! di ko kaya, nadepressed talaga ako!

4th month ko na ngayon being jobless. hopefully by May, may work na ulit.

Me jobless again. I waited and prayed for a new job here in Sg, nabigay naman pero di ako happy (bad!). So I resigned after two weeks, yesterday was my last day. Hopefully, this new job is OK. Or maybe, attitude ko ang may diperensya. hayyy! Good luck to us!

read the whole thread kasi gusto kong malaman un possibilities if i resign from my job ng wala pang lilipatan. i've never done this before. but i want to take the risk. i'm just scared kasi breadwinner ako at honestly..wala kong ipon because of that. ang gagamitin ko lang money is backpay ko, un makukuha ko sa coop and stocks which is around 100k. i want to take the risk and trust Him that He has better plans for me. sobrang lubog na pride ko sa ginawa ng boss ko sakin. and worse, nauubusan na ko ng kompyansa sa sarili and frustrated na. nakakatakot gawin...i'm still confused.

^ sis, unsolicited advice: sabi mo you are the breadwinner + no savings. Too much of a risk ang magresign ka ng walang lilipatan. Di mo naman makukuha agad ang backpay mo, so pano yun? I would really suggest na hanap ka muna ng malilipatan, or build up your savings muna. Isipin mo din ang mga umaasa sa yo.. Tiis-tiis na lang muna..

@bagaholic_chewy: thanks sa advice. i know this is too risky. with regards to building up my savings, that's close to impossible. kulang pa nga un sweldo ko sa gastos ng family ko. actually sila lang naman kinoconsider ko why i can't just resign kahit burn out na ko. for 8 years, sila lang lagi kong iniisip... lahat ng decision ko sa career ko is because of them.

actually last year pa ko nagaapply-apply. hirap lang talaga kasi magpunta sa mga interview pag night shift. hindi lahat ng interviews, napuntahan ko because of my schedule. dahil sa bulk ng work ko, i can't file a leave basta-basta kasi kelangan ko pa rin magonline at magsubmit ng reports even if i'm on leave.

sorry if it's too much na dumaing ako sa work. i'm just confused and di ko alam kung pano ko papasok bukas.

Somehow nakakarelate ako sa yo, kasi I felt that din sa last job ko.. Yung tipong pag Sunday afternoon na e nagsa-start na ako malungkot kasi palapit na Monday at pasukan na naman.. Dini-dread ko pumasok kasi di talaga ako masaya.. Minsan naiiyak pa ako sa car pag hinahatid ako ni hubby, pag papalapit na sa office ko. Kaibahan naman natin is hindi ako breadwinner sa family so less pressure on me.. Nung medyo na-stabilize namin ni hubby yung finances namin, tsaka ako nag-resign..

Konting tiis sis, makakahanap ka din ng malilipatan mong better company.. Isipin mo lang muna ang pros and cons ng magiging options/decisions mo.. Will include you in my prayers..
