i started using ellana mmus again pero i noticed na i dont like how it feels sticky specially pag
medyo hot yung weather and i dont like the smell of it, im used to nice fragrances when
it comes to makeup kasi auko yung make up na makeup ang smell

any suggestion for a good & accessible na mmu fin pow? (aside from ellana)

i used to use ellana espresso con panna na oil absorbing pero ewan ko ba, hindi ko maexplain pero hindi na ako happy sa kanya.  should i try a diff formulation?

You are not alone. I realized that mmu's the culprit kung bakit hindi ako nawawalan ng pimples before. One after the other, as in may pumapalit lagi pag nawawala yung isa.

that makes real sense, and I was wondering why I still get flare-ups despite radical measures like oral meds. Ma-try nga mag-rest from MMU for a couple of weeks. Btw, so have you totally stopped using MMU foundie and blushes?

- same here sis. im looking for an alternative/replacement to ellana. i just wanted to try another brand baka kasi may mas better yung coverage and staying power.

plus factor din sana kung accessible yung store niya para ma-try yung mga shades.

i am still using pureglow. mmu ng venus and mars but i
stopped using joppa..buti na lang a kind miss herroyalbleakness sent me some samples. paging miss herroyalbleakness..i still owe you for this one. =)

yung ellana, parang, i dont like its consistency..parang too makapal and parang obvious na im wearing something on my face..baka off shade lang yun nga lang convenient kasi available here. tska reasonable price pa

I've been using ellana MMU for several years already (babydoll pa yung name before) and ok yun saken.

But right now, gusto ko magtry ng ibang MMUs. alin ba pinaka-okay yung coverage, easily available sa market and di naman masiyado expensive?

wow sis! same pala [textspeak!]. gamit ko din ang babydoll before. nagmigrate na daw kasi ang may-ari. i think one of the best pa din ang ellana. right now, im into avon minerals. mas readily available kasi for me. i use foundation in ivory pink.

Totally! And I noticed how my skin got better. I do get break outs every once in a while but not as bad when I was using MMU.

sis yung clinique superbalanced mineral make up, how was it?

i just placed an order dun sa local reseller ng joppa ng simple radiance finishing powder na medium.  sa monday daw yung dating.  excited na ako!  i was able to try it na kasi before pero different shade and naalala ko maganda nga siya. its not as matte or makapal like ellana.  im using espresso con panna oil absorbing formula btw.

supposedly dadaan ako ng mega tonight to buy ellana espresso con panna (again) kahit hindi ko na siya type.  no choice coz naubusan na ako -- but i realized, i can get joppa finpow pala on the same price since the local reseller sells refills at P50 per gram.  (ellana's finpow is P300 for 6g jar so its also P50 per gram)  i checked joppa's US site and saw that the 11g finpow refills cost $16 + $6 shipping.  P900+ na din yun so good buy talaga kay reseller. 

i only paid P600 for the 11g refill kasama na shipping fee dun so happy talaga ako

sis u might be interested in using avon smooth minerals. iv tried other brands pero dito ako bumabalik. better pa siya sa youngblood(for me). and affordable pa. i use the loose powder foundation and eye shadow. meron ding compact powder na mineral foundation sila.

^ i tried before yung mineral pressed powder ng avon. i must say ang ganda ganda ng finish nya, glowing talaga, BUT sad to say, total break out ako.

i gave it na lang sa helper namin, kaloka ang ganda sa kanya, swerte because hindi sia nagbreak out dun.

ang dami ko ring nabili na ellana mmu. at first nagagandahan talaga ako kasi full coverage sya kaya ang kinis tingnan, but i noticed grabe ang pag cake nya sa skin ko by mid day. i thought makapal lang ang pag buff ko kaya nagiging cakey, but kahit konti lang ilagay ko talagang nag cacake so i regularly  check my make up every once in a while, nakakahiya kaya ang may buo buong make up sa face.  hirap din gamitin pang retouch kasi ang messy.  sumuko na rin ako eventually kaya ayun nasa train case nalang tuloy di ko na ginamit. though di naman ako nag break out.

^ it's along west avenue so definitely malayo na sa MRT North Station, you can take a cab or jeep to get to West Avenue. Once you see Hap-Chan malapit na yun, and the bldg is on teh opposite side. But once when I was at Megamall last month, there was a rack of Ellana products near the grocery. Im not sure though if they're stationed on a regular/permanent basis. Malapit sya sa mga food kiosks.

I'm also using Pureglow Minerals for foundation (Fair Clair)! Parang ang hirap ma-contact si Ms.Jamie Tan ngayon... 
But I'm planning to switch to BareNaturals once I finish Pureglow. Tama ka... I'm also not fond of the consistency ni Ellana foundation pero andami ding raves sa foundies nila.

sisses, ive been using loose mineral makeup since january (covergirl trublends) tapos hiyang ako sa kanya, no breakouts. pero mabilis magshine sa tzone mga 3hours meron na

i want a long staying matte foundation sana. ok kaya pressed mineral foundies? kayo mga sis, ano preffered ninyo, loose or pressed minerals? any suggestions sa pressed minerals for fair skin na oily? (ivory ako sa covergirl)

correction pala with the local reseller of joppa, she sells refills at P50 per 1/4 tsp basis and NOT on a per gram basis.  yun kasi yun nakalagay sa website nya dati pero after what happened with my transaction, pinalitan na nya.
 
apparently, the seller peggs her items at 1/4 tsp = 1 gram so what she gave me was 11 scoops of 1/4 tsp of mmu to come up with my 11g order.  per my experience, lumalabas na 0.5g lang by weight ang 1/4 tsp and not 1g.  this is for the Simple Radiance finishing powder ha.  i have no idea if the same weight conversion applies to the foundies, blush, or other fin pows. 

*from what i know, mmu weights vary depending on its ingredients.  for example, 1 tsp of ellana sheer velvet definitely WEIGHS A LOT LESS than 1 tsp of ellana foundie..
