Recently bought makeup from Pur Minerals and so far, I'm loving it! I got their starter kit which includes foundation, blush, bronzer, and a flat top kabuki brush. I love that they're all in pressed form!!

I love Pur Minerals, too. The bronzer is really good but the flat top Kabuki is a bit scratchy. Still, the starter kit is worth it (I have the one in Tan). The blush is the only blush that looks good on me (I'm a bronzer girl because I normally look "dirty" when I wear blush).

Talc and Bismuth Oxychloride in all of their foundations and the liquid and mousse foundations are loaded with unnatural chemicals...not what is stated on the website.  I know this to be a fact because I created all of their products.  I have no intention of opening or working for another

The owner of the company, Dexter (David) Hardin experienced legal problems and that is why the company immediately closed.  He is also known as Diane and Lori to his clients.
 
He and his sister, Michelle Del Pardo have plans to reopen the company and will be contacting all of you to provide you with the exact same products.  I know this because his
 
inventory has been held in storage and...
 
these are the same products that I made, some over 2 years ago. I quit the company when I became aware that they were intentionally deceiving their customers and refused to
 
stop.  There are many honest companies available to the International World and as a former Insider of Earthen Glow I suggest all of you to taking your business elsewhere if
 
natural is what you want.

Oh my gosh. Ganun? Isn't Bismuth Oxychloride an ingredient also used in the Bare Escentuals foundies? I thought it was that ingredient which made BE mmu feel itchy on my face, pero yung sa EG Minerals, di naman ako nangati. Kahit sa liquid foundie. Pero nagtaka nga ako nung parang bigla na lang sila nag close.

per mmu technical reviews in the US: mmus should be talc and bismuth oxychloride-free. it should be of the highest mineral purity. it shouldn't be diluted with inorganic materials. mmus' ingredients should only be mica, iron oxide, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to be considered organic and pure. Talc is a pore-clogger and an allergen. Bismuth is a by-product of lead and copper. some big cosmetic companies jump on the mmu bandwagon to cash in but the so-called mmus are chockful of chemicals, not really minerals, thus ageing and harming the skin in the long run.

there's only one way to determine if the whistle-blower is spewing nothing but noxious truth, to have random testing of products but that'll be very costly. Sayang, I love Earthen Glow's lien of foundie and blushes. Quality's nearly close to Lumiere but cheaper.

I haven't visited this thread for such a long time and that email surprised me a lot. I remember liking EG minerals before, their foundation and their blushes. I'm hoping it's not true. Why did that certain Carol Ozawa continue doing it, making those products, and taking part in the "deception" of consumers, before she quit? Because she was not aware of it? Grabe naman yun, may lokohan nang bongga sa paligid mo sa matagal na panahon, hindi mo pa alam. Hindi kaya sabotage lang yan?

havent tried EG minerals, pero sana the email's a hoax lang.

i haven't tried EG. i'm loyal lang to only one brand since 2009, blusche. blusche has only 5-6 organic ingredients. the lesser kasi the better, but the essential ingredients of mmus talaga are mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide and zinc oxide. i've read a comparison of the ingredients of mmus somewhere sa Beauty Brains way back 2009, and most big mmu brands use bismuth. 

try googling "mineral hygienics and comparison of mmu ingredients". i tried to insert the link here but the site's asking for authentication.

I've been using ellana MMU for several years already (babydoll pa yung name before) and ok yun saken.

But right now, gusto ko magtry ng ibang MMUs. alin ba pinaka-okay yung coverage, easily available sa market and di naman masiyado expensive?

You are not alone. I realized that mmu's the culprit kung bakit hindi ako nawawalan ng pimples before. One after the other, as in may pumapalit lagi pag nawawala yung isa.
