super miss ko na salcedo market.. mga favorite ko dun:

dun sa nagtitinda ng french cuisine:
yung roast chicken stuffed with garlic tapos with saffron aioli sauce

gusto ko yan matikman sis, meron pa ba nito?

benchetto! not so classy. full of call center workers pero a street length of food stalls from grilled foods to tasty snacks ang desserts

I like going to Salcedo market whenever I can. Four things that make me go back there:
1. Unsalted Danggit (sold by this lovely woman, very nice -- stall is across the one selling French food)
2. Fresh lobster -- I spend only about P1200 for 2 big ones, as compared to the cooked ones in restos which is about P3000 for just 1!
3. Wagyu shawarma (stall's near the parking lot's entrance)
4. Paella Negra (stall's near the one selling takoyaki balls)

i love the weekend markets and i look forward to the mercado centrale.

we went to Mercato Centrale kanina.. pero di talaga kami namili... parang yung mga nabasa ko sa site nila, di ko mahanap kanina. We tried Mochiko ice cream mochi-- P70/pc. okay naman sya. Was looking for Goodles pero wala yung Chicago Popcorn puro tin can size binebenta nila... bili sana kami Japchae in a stall selling chicken rice kaso ubos na daw i also saw lechon cebu, Serye chicken bbq, may stall with buffalo wings, Nana Meng's (kakanin/ tsokolate), stall with stuff form Pangasinan (puto, tupig, etc). I saw Alexandre, Kitchen's Best, and mostly stalls selling cookies and pastries.

balik siguro kami next week nalang. nag-iiba iba din kaya stalls weekly?

To those who frequent Salcedo/Legaspi market, would you say Mercato has better stalls/products? Or same lang? Or better yung 2 markets?

^^punta sana kami mercato kanina kaso sarado na. Until what time sila sis?

^mas sanay ako sa legazpi market sis marami akong nabibili na kailangan talaga namin sa konsumo namin per week.

May nagbebenta ng olive oil sa legazpi market mas mura sa kanila kaysa sa grocery store.

@daddysgirl, talaga sis 1200 lang 2 pcs na big lobster na? Parang gusto ko na magtry sa salcedo yan craving ko kasi

Kanina galing kami ng Eton Centris weekend market, ok naman kaso dami nang tao na kumakain hirap humanap ng mauupuan. May nakita din ako na nagtitinda ng BBW pocket bac P150 w/holder, siya lang ata nags-sell dun, di ko lang gusto yung scents na natira. Nakabili din kami ng neem tree P100/3 plants, tamang tama para sa mga lamok next time agahan na namin & mags-shorts na lang, kanina ang init kahit makulimlim

To those who frequent Salcedo/Legaspi market, would you say Mercato has better stalls/products? Or same lang? Or better yung 2 markets?

parang konti sa Mercato kanina.. probably kasi 2 weeks palang sila compared sa Salcedo/ Legazpi? i haven't been to Salcedo and Legazpi pero based sa mga features din on TV and mga kwento, parang mas madami and ok ang choices dun than Mercato. Siguro pag tumagal, mas dadami and wide array of choices na rin sa Mercato..

^kaya pala sis mga 2:30pm na kami dumaan. Nakapag legaspi naman kami, hay d masarap yung japanese mochi with mung beans na nabili namin. Hirap hanap bago foodie para pamigay sa xmas.

may mochi rin kami try kanina.. ice cream (chocolate) mochi balls from Mochiko. P70 nga lang per piece pero malaki naman sya.

yup. but you have to be really early kasi konti lang and not all the time meron sila. the stall selling it at salcedo also sells at legaspi. one time kasi, when i was asking for lobster, they didnt have na. but he told me he'll bring some for me at legaspi the next day.

^ay baka sya rin yung binibilhan namin ng hipon sis kaso d kami maaga magpunta. Ang mura ng lobster nya ha.
