Teeth Grinding While Sleeping

As far as I remember, one of my instructors mentioned that teeth grinding while sleeping maybe a sign psychological disturbance. (Insecurities, conscious forgetting, suppressed/repressed emotions et al.)

is this true? kase ako i have so many suppressed/repressed emotions at may pinagdadaanan naman talaga ako... pero matagal na akong nagte-teeth grind lalo na pag tulog ako...

^ I read somewhere that stress contributes to teeth grinding. However, nabasa ko rin na even children grind their teeth (as early as 5 years old). Wala pa naman sigurong stress yung mga yon.

ganito din ako ever since I was a teenager
nag flaflat na nga daw teeth ko eh 
need daw ng mouth guard but it always falls off my mouth while I sleep
kelangan custom made but wala pa ako budget now
ganda pa naman ng teeth ko   
kahit anong vitamins i-take ko to reduce stress wala parin
kelangan ko talaga ma-destress..dami ko ng diperensya sa katawan!!

I've been doing this since I was a child at dentist yung nag sabi sa akin but they never gave me a mouth guard. Sometimes I wake up dami na single nakakagat ko yata. Lahat ba ng dentist meron nito? Does it really cost thousands of pesos?

meron ako alam na good dentist 2-3k lang cost..but that was last year that he quoted sakin, ewan if same parin now..sa may pasig

I think this is some sort of neuro problem.  My ortho told my husband to try botox for the jaw to control bruxism.  For a time he tried and it seemed to be working.  He stopped nga lang so he is back to teeth grinding.

all my life, nag-grind ang teeth ko while sleeping.
now that i'm older, hindi na pero na replace naman ng snoring.

Been experiencing this for as long as I can remember. To the extent na pudpod na yung pangil ko. I noticed na on nights na nagkaka-nightmare ako, yun yung time na people complain na malakas yung pag grind ko, though kasi most of the time I sleep alone. I got myself a mouthguard. You just microwave it, and bite it para mag align sa teeth mo, after that, it's good to go. Got it sa US for about $30. Okay na rin siya, pwede daw gamitin  for a year. Uncomfortable lang siya, minsan pag gising ko wala na sa mouth ko yung guard.

Nangyayari din sa akin ito, napapansin ko minsan habang tulog ako kapag medyo nagigising, tapos parang di mo basta mapigil. Pag gising ko tuloy ang sakit minsan ng ngipin ko haha.

Do you have square face because of that?  I think it shows sa tongue natin if we grind our teeth.  My husband had botox recently for the jaw.  Nagimprove naman, 95% of the time he doesn't grind anymore.

dati wala akong idea na ginagawa ko to sinabe lang ng ortho nung nagpabrace na.ang galing lang panu nya kaya nalaman? siguro may mga scratch teeth ko? LOL!  feeling ko naman hindi ko na ginagawa to kasi never naman nagreklamo si hub, siguro in my case sa teeth alignment ko kaya nag teeth grinding ako.

Went to the dentist for my bi-annual cleaning. Wala siyang sinabi about teeth grinding so I went ahead to ask and if I need the guard. Wala daw siyang nakitang symptoms, which is pudpod daw dapat yung tips ng teeth na in contact with other teeth.

Nadiscuss din kung gaano kadalas and in my case, minsan lang like if tired or stressed. Pag ganun daw, it's just normal and I'll just have to monitor na lang then inform of observations in my next bi-annual visit.
Hindi ko daw kailangan ng guard. It also costs 5k sa kanila.

uhm, i don't have a square face (if you meant square jaw), kinda oblong/round ang fezlak ko.
and how does it show on the tongue,  curious tuloy ako.  my husband said i don't grind
my teeth anymore.  and if i keep my weight down,  the snoring goes away too.

Bata pa ako nag te-teeth grinding na ako until now pero siguro mga once or twice a year lang umaatake. Minsan ako mismo nagigising kasi ang lakas.

Naggrind din teeth ko and nafile na talaga yung isa sa front teeth ko to te point na hindi na sila pantay. Fortunately, may nilagay yung dentist ko na parang pasta para magpantay ulit. Kaso kung magggrind ulit, mauubos siya uli. Baka magmouthguard daw or pagawa ko na lang ulit kapag nafile ulit. Mali pa rin ata ang bite ko even after braces for 7 years.

May connection ba talaga to sa shape ng jaw? Mapanga kasi ako. Parang square ang face...
