Requirements Needed for Traveling Minors (Accompanied and Unaccompanied)

I'm planning to let my daughter (9 yrs old) to go to SG on January 2011.
She'll be accompanied by my brother-in-law and his family.
Help po.......

Hello mga sis nakakuha nako travel clearance ng daughter ko
sa DSWD Alabang ako nagpunta tapat sya ng Town Center and infairness ang bilis  wala pang 1 hour narelease agad...

my kids will be flying to the US first week April ahead of us. They will be with my IL's. We had to go to DSWD for clearance.

My 11yo daughter's flying here to the US alone and i'm gonna have her escorted by Delta thru their unaccompanied minor program..which is mandatory for her age group.  She's flown before, 5 years ago domestically and to HK but she was with us at that time.   She's got her passport, visa, DSWD clearance and I just got her a ticket yesterday.

Anybody have any experience with this or had their child fly internationally as an unaccompanied minor?

^UM services among airlines are pretty straight forward. What exactly do you want to know regarding this service?

^Yes I read the details of the program on the website.  I was hoping to get feedback from parents who've actually had their children fly as an UM.  What the kids thought about it, were the assigned FAs nice, did they feel their child traveled safe enough with the UM program  etc.

^My personal experience was when my then 6 year old sister travelled from Manila to the US. My parents who brought her to the airport were personally introduced to the crew who will be looking after her. This was the time na di pa masyado mahigpit sa airport. According to my sister, she had fun. Adventurous by nature din kasi sister ko. Since then gustong laging bumibyahe mag-isa sister ko. 

Now for my work experience, our airline has regular UM passengers. From the check-in counter pa lang up to the endorsement sa cabin crew, we make sure the young ones feel safe and at home. On board they are given stuff to keep them from being bored. Maya-maya ang check sa kanila to make sure they are okay. If the flight deck crew are accommodating and nag-request yung UM, they are sometimes brought to the flight deck (cockpit). Basta we try to make the kids experience as good as possible.

^I wish they could let her check that out too..but knowing my daughter she will probably blast the pilots with tons of questions. hehe.  That's good to know.  I hope she's seated next to decent people on the flight (3 leg flight).  I chose window seats for her.  Thanks for the info

we will be travelling with our pamangkins puro girls, 2 of them is 14yrs old na and the other 1 is 8yrs old. what are the papers that we have to prepare just in case matanong kami? sa Diosdado Macapagal in Clark ang boarding namin going to HK. medyo malayo kaya I want to prepare yung mga papeles na baka hingin sa amin para di kami ma hassle..... thanks

hi mga sis meron na pong travel clearance yung mga pamangkin ko. wala na bang ibang hihingin pa yung immigration from us? this friday na kasi yung trip namin to HK... thanks in advance.
